ABOUT THE ROLE:
As our Individual Giving Manager you will organise and oversee all our individual giving activities. You will develop income and engagement from individuals working across a range of income streams including but not limited to Regular Giving, Philanthropy, Legacy, Appeals and Lottery.
You will also oversee strategy with a view to gaining ongoing growth, through developing engaging fundraising campaigns and delivering high quality, timely and personalised stewardship to recruit new and retain existing supporters.
You’ll be an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of using a variety of direct marketing techniques to grow Individual Giving. You will work closely with our MarComms team to create content across various channels ensuring relevant and engaging communications are sent to supporters across email, BHWT newsletters, social media, BHWT magazine and video.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- To develop and deliver strategy across Individual Giving in an effort to maximise income.
- To steward and recruit donors whilst developing and retaining regular and cash givers.
- To manage a calendar of compelling fundraising projects and campaigns including direct marketing appeals across electronic, postal and social media channels.
- To utilise insight and data to set, monitor and evaluate campaigns and revenue performance.
- Management of our BHWT lottery.
- To build and nurture effective relationships with a number of segments including major donors, regular givers and pledged legators, increasing value and loyalty from new and existing donors.
- To examine supporter data to identify patterns and trends, helping to build and develop insights into BHWT supporters.
- To segment various data audiences for postal appeals using Salesforce.
- To explore and test new methods for donor recruitment and retention.
- To analyse and report on fundraising activities to maximise return on investment and feed key findings to the CEO.
- Collaborate closely with MarComms to build understanding and support across the organisation whilst delivering rewarding, interconnected projects and appeals.
- To create and update donor records ensuring accuracy and consistency at all times.
- To provide support to other areas of fundraising where appropriate.
- To undertake ad hoc tasks from time to time as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A strong empathy for animal welfare and the work of the BHWT
- Demonstrable successes in growing income across multiple IG revenues with a wide range of activities, campaigns, and appeals
- Proven experience of researching, evaluating, testing and implementing successful fundraising products or activities
- Experience of utilising performance metrics and KPIs for donor acquisition, cost-benefit, and return-on-investment analyses
- Proven experience of campaign management and delivery
- Track record of developing and optimising supporter-focused content and products that increase reach and engagement across a wide range of channels
- Experience of using a fundraising database and segmenting relevant fundraising data
- Ability to drive success and inspire others to ensure relevant targets and standards are met
- Ability to prioritise and manage a busy programme to ensure the smooth running of a full calendar
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade a wide range of stakeholders including suppliers, supporters, and colleagues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to different types of audience through various channels

About the role

The Fundraising Officer - Events role sits in the Events team. This team is responsible for a portfolio of third party organised sports events - such as London Marathon, Tough Mudder, Cardiff Half and skydives - that will raise more than £4.5 million in the next financial year.
The Events team is a part of a wider Community, Events and Products Fundraising team. Our vision is to engage, grow and inspire a community of passionate fundraisers to power the fight for mental health. Because together, we can change lives.
You'll play a pivotal role in the Community, Events and Products Fundraising team's strategic objective to sustain and improve the portfolio to raise £12.9million by March 2026
This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover a secondment.
Key duties and responsibilities
The post holder will:
-Steward event participants; this could include undertaking welcome calls, sending supporter communications, providing ongoing fundraising support, following up non-payments, personalised thanking, and supporter surveys. This can be done across a range of channels including mail, email, and telephone, online and face to face.
-Attend events to help enhance our supporters experience and deepen their relationship with Mind.
-Work with the Senior Fundraising Officer to deliver events fundraising activity. This can include planning, writing and submitting briefs, generating marketing and stewardship communications, working with third party agencies, setting up web pages, delivering memorable on the day experiences for our supporters, reporting and analysing live activity and conducting evaluations.
-Analyse and interpret data, including marketing and stewardship performance, and adjust tactics to continuously improve and ensure results are met.
-Produce high quality analysis reports for activities, including recommendations to inform and improve future fundraising.
-Work with our media agency and internal Digital Teams to achieve Mind's digital-first strategy, attending training opportunities with internal teams and external agencies to upskill as needed, and thinking digital-first in the briefing of all new activity.

Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) works to support the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom, justice and equality and against apartheid, military occupation and colonisation. We are the biggest organisation in the UK dedicated to securing Palestinian rights and bring together people from all walks of life to work towards our goals. About the role
We’re looking for a motivated, communicative, and knowledgeable Public Affairs Officer to join our Policy and Influencing Team, to help us achieve the positive change children and young people with cancer across the UK, and their families, need in the health system. This means amplifying the voices of young cancer patients and delivering evidence-based campaigns that make change happen.
The Public Affairs Officer is responsible for supporting the Policy and Influencing Team with public affairs expertise to deliver the key components of our influencing work in England and UK-Wide (Westminster). You will help us influence the system for children and young people with cancer and their families, so we can change experiences of having cancer and ensure children and young people’s voices are heard.

MCF has a small team, but our impact is far-reaching. Following a period of expansion, MCF is seeking an innovative, motivated and passionate individual to lead on its advocacy capacity building work, sector-wide advocacy work, and delivery of its strategic policy work.
The primary purpose of the role is to build capacity in Muslim-led Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations with differing scales of operating and programmatic focus areas. There will be a particular focus on those Muslim led organisations based in London.
You can expect to be leading on some of the areas as a priority in this role:
• Engaging in outreach with Muslim-led Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations.
• Producing relevant policy and advocacy capacity building materials suitable for those involved in Muslim-led Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations.
• Delivering capacity building engagements with those involved in Muslim-led Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations.
• Hosting roundtables and other group engagements to learn more about the policy and advocacy priorities of Muslim-led Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations.
• Strategically Managing a programmatic budget to outsource elements of MCF’s policy and advocacy capacity building initiatives.
• Building relationships with a range of stakeholders from across the Voluntary and Community Sector, Private Sector, and Public Sector to support capacity building initiatives with Muslim-led Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations. This is an exciting role overseeing MCF’s Policy and Advocacy Unit.
In addition to the above, you can also expect to be involved in:
• Monitoring the media for commentary relevant to the British Muslim led Voluntary and Community Sector and preparing responses on behalf of MCF.
• Engaging with parliamentarians and other key public sector stakeholders by representing MCF at a range of engagements.
• Leading MCF’s Policy and Advocacy Unit’s strategy and delivering associated outputs.

Advocacy Capacity Building:
• Directly communicating and interacting with Muslim-led Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations.
• Effectively managing relationships with Muslim-led Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations. • Proactively responding to requests for guidance and/or support on policy and advocacy related matters.
• Drafting briefings, primers, training materials and other capacity building materials to enhance understanding of policy and advocacy amongst key stakeholders.
• Scheduling and hosting roundtables and other events.
• Build and manage methods of two-way learning between British Muslim-led Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations and key public sector stakeholders.
• Building relationships with associates and other contractors focusing on matters relevant to advocacy, campaigning, political activity, political processes, research, or any other matters.
• Managing an advocacy capacity building programme.
• Managing a budget and seeing to the delivery of its associated projects.
• Representing MCF at public engagements hosted by Parliamentarians, Combined Authorities, Local Authorities, and other public sector organisations interacting directly with Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations.

• Support the CEO and the rest of the MCF team by developing policy reform suggestions supported by appropriate forms of evidence.

• Identify opportunities to further develop MCF’s policy and advocacy strategy to fulfil MCF’s mission areas and strategic priorities as an infrastructure organisation.
• Coordinate activities to deliver outputs aligned with MCF’s policy and advocacy strategy.
• Monitor developments from the public and other sectors relevant to British Muslim-led Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations reported in the media, and draft appropriate responses.
• Provide guidance to MCF members and other organisations on navigating policy issues.
• Host and participate in MCF member roundtables, working groups and other events to learn more about their policy priorities and provide guidance where relevant.
• Coordinate research projects to develop bodies of evidence on matters relating to the Muslim-led Voluntary and Community Sector.
• Support the delivery of MCF’s advocacy campaigns and associated campaign activities.
• Commission external research and analysis to gather evidence to support MCF’s campaigns.
• Represent MCF in media engagement opportunities or requests for information from media stakeholders.
• Represent MCF at a range of events and other external engagements.

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Our services include short overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice.
