At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Did you know that every year we need to raise £6.5m to keep our doors open and only around 16% of our income comes from government sources, the rest has to be raised through fundraising activity.

Our services include short overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team support these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.

We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The hospice is easily accessible from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield and North Notts. We have free secure on-site parking for families and staff to use.

The role:

As our Fundraising Business Partner, you will be at the forefront of our regional fundraising team. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Income Generation and Communications Director, crafting and implementing innovative, long-term strategies to expand and diversify our income streams. You’ll identify new opportunities, guide a talented team of six fundraising professionals, and build lasting partnerships that strive to reach our income aims.

Key Responsibilities:

· Management and Leadership: Develop and drive comprehensive fundraising strategies, ensuring alignment with our goals and exploring new funding avenues.

· Team Leadership: Mentor, manage, and inspire a high-performing fundraising team. Lead by example, foster professional development, and create an empowering culture.

· Income Generation: Lead of key fundraising campaigns and build relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and local communities. Work collaboratively with marketing to craft impactful marketing and engagement proposals.

· Business Partnering: Collaborate across all departments and with senior leadership to ensure our fundraising strategy integrates seamlessly with the broader goals of the hospice.

· Financial Management: Oversee budget allocation, reporting, and ROI maximisation to hit income targets and deliver on strategic plans.

· Compliance and Governance: Ensure all fundraising initiatives meet legislative and ethical standards and represent Bluebell Wood at events to foster new relationships and raise our profile.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our small and dynamic but expanding fundraising and communications team during an exciting period of growth for the organisation. We are seeking a Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to join our passionate and dedicated fundraising team. Your role will be pivotal in securing vital funds for the hospice by developing and maintaining meaningful, positive relationships with grant-making organisations and individual supporters. You will research and apply to appropriate trusts and foundations while leading the identification of new grant opportunities.

Hours of work: This role is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with the very occasional evening or weekend for Events.

Location of work: Hybrid, home-based or hospice-based (an initial hospice-based period is required for onboarding and familiarisation with the team and our mission).

About the role

· Clearly communicating the charity’s funding needs to potential funders through high-quality funding applications, face-to-face meetings, and other communications.

The programme Manager (maternity cover) will play an important role in supporting the implementation of Good Neighbours UK (GNUK)’s strategy and ensuring that projects led by GNUK and implemented by field countries are managed effectively and efficiently. They will also play in important role in designing new projects.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Project management

• Support GNUK’s fundraising team to prepare funding proposals for UK and overseas projects.

o Undertake field/needs assessments for projects.

o Ensure programmes and finance teams in implementing partners are working together to develop budgets and logframes in a timely manner for funding proposals and advise on multi-project cost effective strategies to cover country budgets.

o Manage due diligence and MoUs with implementing partners

Join Operation Smile UK as our Senior Acquisition Manager and make a difference in the lives of children. We're searching for a fundraising professional with experience in acquiring new donors through a variety of fundraising channels including Door to Door (F2F), digital fundraising, DRTV, cold mailing and door drops. You'll be responsible for managing a £2.4 million budget and developing innovative strategies to increase individual cash and regular giving support. This role is not responsible for the supervision or direction of staff.

Operation Smile is a global nonprofit specialising in cleft surgery and care. We provide medical training, education and mentorship to surgical teams around the world, along with expertise, research and care through our staff and volunteers, working alongside local governments, nonprofits and health systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and drive recruitment of regular givers and cash givers to grow income and supporter volumes, in a multi-channel programme including Door to Door (F2F), digital fundraising channels, DRTV, cold mailing and door drops.
• Manage relationships with agency partners executing acquisition campaigns on behalf of Operation Smile UK for the betterment of the acquisition programme.
• Lead and execute our door-to-door (F2F) programme with the goal of expanding this form of acquisition fundraising over the coming years.

• To work closely with the Senior Database Manager and agency partners to review direct marketing acquisition campaigns and ensure that information is used to maximise income for future campaigns.
• Collaborate with the Senior Database Manager to develop and implement essential Power BI dashboards. Proactively request ad-hoc data analysis to track key acquisition metrics and inform strategic decision-making.
• Introduce new acquisition channels and develop existing ones within KPIs to manage risk and keep fundraising up-to-date within evolving channels.
• To ensure that campaigns are where possible integrated or co-ordinated thematically, creatively and/or by target audience to maximise impact.
• To lead in the training of external agencies, effectively communicating the work of Operation Smile to key representatives.
• Travel to meetings in the UK and overseas where necessary.

Job Purpose

Create and operate MHI’s technical capability to create and manage products and services. Do so whilst balancing the needs of product, engineering, security and compliance.

Main Responsibilities

Primary

• Develop a set of appropriate methodologies and standard patterns for delivering new products and services. Ability to create quick mock-ups and prototypes.
• Employ aspects of product management, solutions architecture, technical design and testing practices. 
• Consider products and services with respect to their lifespan, expected change frequency, support and maintenance requirements.
• Know how to deliver value quickly without compromising security and data protection concerns. 
• Expert knowledge of a range of technologies and languages, with the ability to be hands on and lead a small team of engineers. 
• Ability to consider and select the most appropriate technologies by considering trade-offs, implications, constraints and the needs of the organisation.

• Inspire technical members of staff, help them grow and follow best practices consistently.

Events Assistant

The Events Assistant[CF1]  is a crucial role at the College as you will help and support colleagues in the delivery of events, from administrative assistance in planning the events, to the production of event documentation, branding or collateral, in addition to liaising with events stakeholders, including speakers, programme leads and delegates.  

As Events Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support for online event registration, delegate bookings, delegate communications and associated queries. You will be the first point of contact for event queries, so maintaining a good knowledge of College events and other relevant activities is essential.

Assisting in the research and promotion of opportunities for sponsorship for all events, you will distribute sponsorship packages, confirm sponsorship acquisitions and ensure requirements are fulfilled onsite. You will also produce proposals for assigned events, including timelines, venues, suppliers, draft budgets and staffing requirements.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Events, you will help with the delivery of College conferences and study days by providing administrative support for the development of programmes and course materials, whilst also collating and reporting on key event statistics to support the evaluation of the events programme.

With a good level of education,[CF2]  you should have a background in customer-facing roles, be an excellent verbal and written communicator and have experience of interacting via email, telephone and in-person.

With an understanding of GDPR and an excellent level of computer knowledge, keyboard skills and software, you should be able to use and format documents on the Microsoft platform and have the ability to learn new software packages.

Knowledge of events and conferencing, including the processes surrounding the delivery of events, as well as experience of event administration would be desirable. Research and data analysis skills along with the ability to use social media to promote activity would also be advantageous. Travel across the UK and occasional overnight stays are part of this role.
