We are looking for an energetic, knowledgeable, friendly, flexible person to lead the Energy Team based in Wrexham. You will lead delivery on a wide variety of energy and carbon reduction programmes and activities with communities, businesses and individuals across North Wales, coordinating and engaging with more vulnerable groups within communities, including older people, people with disabilities and households experiencing fuel poverty.
You will also be required to lead the work to achieve the renewal of the Green Dragon standard and lead the organisations development and delivery of our Carbon Reduction Plan, and will lead a small domestic energy advice team in Wrexham.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and lead-deliver a wide variety of energy and carbon reduction projects and activities with communities, businesses, and individuals across North Wales.
- Plan and support the Energy Advice Team to deliver our service in line with all funder and contract requirements, ensuring quality of support, time management and report requirements are all completed in appropriate time aligned with all requirements.
- Manage and monitor the Energy Advice Team through performance monitoring and monthly review.
- Using a standard Groundwork Federation GHG Inventory Tool for emission reporting develop, deliver and monitor our annual carbon reduction plan, working with business managers to ensure data is recoded correctly and improvements to our carbon footprint are made.
- Facilitate the renewal of the Green Dragon accreditation, implementing and managing our internal environment systems and processes up to a level 3 standard.
- Arrange and carry out home visits to support residents in reducing their carbon emissions and to save money by lowering the level of consumption and cost of energy.
- Advocate and liaise for householders with energy companies and gas and electric network providers to ensure customers receive the best possible deal for their requirements.
- Work with referral partners to identify vulnerable households, and evidence eligibility to provide support with energy advice and administer emergency fuel vouchers.
- Provide effective support, both advisory and practical, to enable people to make positive changes to their behaviour and to improve the quality of their lives; record actions and highlight the importance of keeping warm to the health and wellbeing of residents.
- Assist residents to access other relevant and complementary services and agencies, liaising with other agencies to assist residents to access funding and support to deliver larger energy efficiency measures.
- Liaise with residents on a day-to-day basis in a professional and friendly manner and build good working relationships with them either face to face or through the provision of telephone advice.
- Oversee the booking and scheduling of visits and respond to referrals from funders in a timely manner.
- Oversee the ordering of stock, ensuring stock levels are maintained and stock is monitored closely.
- Undertake monitoring information and reporting requirements as required by the Trust and funders, ensuring all the funders’ requirements are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
- Run events or energy surgeries to raise awareness of projects in local communities.
- Deliver outreach activities to generate referrals, e.g. door-knocking, events, road shows, etc.
- Work flexibly as part of the Energy Advice Team and across other teams, including occasional weekend working.
- Contribute to the business development of the Energy Business Area by identifying needs within the sector and collecting evaluation evidence and factual data that back up any development of new bids and tenders.

Role and Responsibilities
Supporting the wider finance team, you will:
Accounts Payable
- Assume complete ownership of employee expenditure: processing and posting transactions to the accounting system weekly.
- Manage supplier payments, including collecting and processing invoices before posting to the accounting system on a weekly basis.
- Communicate with suppliers and staff regarding expected payment dates of invoices.
- Monitor the payables ledger to ensure invoices are paid on a timely basis.
Accounts Receivable
- Process donations received through various payment methods onto the accounting system.
- Process gift aid claims when appropriate.
Management Accounting
- Post journals to the accounting system as required.
- Assist with the month-end processing and reporting.
- Assist with the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet.
- Maintain appropriate filing and assist in collation of evidence for annual audit.
- Contribute ideas for process and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure the organisation remains compliant with local council requirements.
- Contribute to the office management committee to maintain standards of office tidiness.

About you
You will have administrative support experience and previous PA/Secretariat experience, including responsibility for diary management for multiple principals concurrently. You will have a proven ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines and have excellent organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and proven experience of engaging with a wide range of people at all levels in a professional capacity are essential. Candidates must also demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and be comfortable working with various new IT systems and software.

Our mixed complex needs service provides level 1 hostel accommodation and housing-related support for vulnerable adults with complex needs. It is open to individuals and couples (and pets!) with diverse backgrounds, including ex-offenders, and people with mental health or substance misuse problems.
Our Women’s only service provide specialist safe space accommodation to women with complex needs, and who experienced abuse, exploitation or Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

In the role of Duty Worker, you will be the first point of contact at reception for St Mungo’s clients and visitors and have the opportunity to create a welcoming and supportive environment within the project. Other responsibilities will include:
- Jointly running the project day to day with other members of the team.
- Working on reception to answer phones, oversee entry to the building, and provide basic advice and support to clients.
- Keeping communal areas and office space clean and tidy.
- Coordinating important Health and Safety checks and other administrative duties.
- Work alongside the team to provide a person-centred support to residents and clients.

The part-time Finance Assistant position is a new role created to strengthen the in-house finance operations of the Talbot Village Trust. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will be an integral part of a small, committed team, collaborating with a diverse range of contractors and suppliers, charities and local impact organisations as part of the Trust's vision to support people to live well in south-east Dorset.
The charity's finance function is maintained between the Trust's external estate advisors, who oversee the management of the Trust’s land and properties, and the internal finance team. The internal team is responsible for managing the monthly payment process, preparing management and year-end accounts, and conducting financial reporting and analysis as needed. The postholder will maintain precise financial records in accordance with the charity's financial procedures and processes, thereby enabling senior management and trustees to make well-informed decisions.

The Improving Rivers team is a dynamic and driven team which seeks to deliver effective and long-term restoration of river and catchment ecosystems. We work in cross sectoral partnership across the Thames Basin. The team takes a nature-based solutions approach and explores innovations as well as effectively deliver standard impactful approaches which drive the restoration of river ecosystems.

Purpose of the role
The postholder will support the strategic development of the Improving Rivers portfolio in collaboration with the Head of Improving Rivers and Improving Rivers Managers. The postholder will be responsible for implementing the strategic development of the team in partnership with the Improving Rivers Managers, whilst oversee and supporting the Improving Rivers Managers to implement Thames21 projects and programmes that achieve our 5 year plan goals. The Improving Rivers team covers a diverse portfolio including teams focused on River Restoration, Environmental Evidence, Catchment Partnerships and Rural Solutions. These programmes including cross sectoral work including public, private, academic and community partners, as well as using mechanisms such as Environmental Markets and implementing (and challenging) government policy. These outcomes are integrated into the work on Thames21’s Engagement and Learning Team that develops and delivers a wide range of practical volunteering activities and targeted recruitment and awareness raising to ensure project better reflect the communities we work in and improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
Thames21 is looking for a skilled leader and with strategic vision who must have a genuine passion for and understanding of our mission and a love of rivers.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1) Strategic Direction
Support the strategic development of the Thames21 Improving Rivers Portfolio of work, in liaison with the Head of Improving Rivers and the Chief Executive.
o Support development of operational targets that directly contribute to achieving the organisations mission and priority area of Thames21’s 5 year plan 2023-2028.
o Support development of strategies and oversee the implementation of action plans to achieve targets and organisation mission.
o Ensure that effective Monitoring and Evaluation procedures are embedded across the organisation’s projects and programmes.
o Ensure E&L projects and programmes integrate and complement Thames21’s other work, whilst maintaining good relationships with the senior management team.
2) Leadership and Management
Managing the Improving Rivers Team, support and directing managers, programme and budget oversight to achieve the objectives of Thames21’s strategy plan.
o Support and develop Improving Rivers Managers to achieve their targets and objectives including the development of their teams/areas of work
o Guide, support the Improving Rivers Team in the delivery of the portfolio of work, ensuring their well-being, performance at work and professional development.
o Enable cross team collaborations and development for multi-benefits.
3) Business and organisation development
Support and enable delivery of Thames21’s wider strategy.
o Support development that will enhance the organisations performance and be responsible for seeing them through to implementation
o Support oversight of and lead on bids and project development for funds/programmes which are assessed on their technical competencies related to the Improving Rivers portfolio
o Support development of Strategic Environmental Markets and support/lead development of large/strategically important government bids/funding for Improving Rivers in partnership with other areas
o Support the creation of systems that build the skills of the team so they can develop more strategic and impactful projects and programmes independently and ensure they are implemented.
o Development and support strategic partnerships to achieve the organisation goals.
4) Work with the Head of Improving Rivers and Senior Management Team to ensure the organisation is performing effectively and that its systems and processes support the successful implementation of the Five-Year Plan.
o Ensure the organisation is financially sustainable and carry out accurate financial management, auditing invoicing, reporting and planning.
o Support development of organisational policies, practices and structures and ensure they are applied across the organisation.
o Ensure resources are applied proportionally across the organisation.
o Establish and maintain practices of data collection for portfolio measurement indices, ensuring the data is entered into Thames21’s data collection platforms.
o Oversee the application of Health and Safety throughout the team

The role of the Volunteer Coordinator and Studio Assistant is to provide support for volunteering activity across the organisation and visitor engagement within the new Studio space and Ground Floor Gallery. Based on a community consultation, we recognised a huge need for more space for participation work with local communities.

We’re looking for an experienced, part-time volunteer coordinator to deliver our extensive volunteer programme, featuring our Older People’s Befriending projects, our group assistants, our administrative volunteers and other volunteer opportunities.
What we do
Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe. Set in a leafy heritage building and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects. Time & Talents is well-known for supporting isolated and lonely older people in the area. Our volunteer Befriending scheme is more than 40 years strong and helps around 75 housebound older people each year to have social contact they can rely on. Cycling Without Age (CWA), a newer branch of our volunteer work based on a Danish model, has transformed into Bicycle Befriending since the pandemic. Bicycle Befriending pairs trained cyclists with older people for regular rides round the parks in our specialist trishaws. The trishaws are also a big hit at our events! In addition to the Older Adults programme needs, we need volunteers each week to support our community groups and our administrative needs. Corporations often want to volunteer as teambuilding events or to help with our community offer, and this role plays a lead role as first point of contact for those queries as well. We are building our volunteer-driven offer whilst staying focused on our aims: ensuring that everyone feels part of a community and that no one is isolated or lonely.
The role
In this role, you’ll:
• Develop volunteering roles and projects in line with T&T’s aims across programme areas.
• Support programme areas to develop their volunteer roles and recruit, train and support those volunteers.
• Develop and coordinate the befriending and CWA projects at Time & Talents, including recruitment, training and support of volunteers and service users in these projects.
• Act as first point of contact for corporate volunteering inquiries.
About you
You have a track record in driving the excellent delivery of grant-funded community programmes in the third sector. You’re an emotionally resilient and experienced team leader with a growth mindset and plenty of grit. You’re flexible, accountable, take responsibility, are highly organised and skilled in multitasking and balancing priorities. You have experience of fundraising and maybe other types of income generation. You have strong relationship building skills – internally and externally - and build trust and credibility easily. You are passionate about the power of community to connect and support people.
