Responsibilities and Person Specification:

The Team Administrator supports our in-house Studio team with the administration and delivery of our content through the design, print and digital processes.

You will have excellent administrative, communication and organisational skills. You will have the ability to work under pressure to prioritise, deliver, manage, and coordinate several projects and activities simultaneously to tight timescales. You should also understand design and production best practice, processes and techniques across both online and offline formats.

Overall purpose

Your primary responsibility will be to lead Breaking Barriers’ employment programme in Birmingham and the West Midlands, and support the Senior Employment Services Manager and Director of Services in ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in the support we provide to clients.  

Working closely with the Senior Employment Services Manager, you will take ownership of delivery within this region and lead on the delivery of the contract, including maintaining effective external stakeholder relationships and providing accurate and timely reporting. You should have at a demonstrable track record of transferrable work experience in coordinating service delivery, projects or programmes, or another relevant field. Equally important is a demonstrable commitment to working with marginalised populations who face barriers to employment, particularly refugees. A strong interest in employability support and experience delivering employment programmes or careers advice would be a strong advantage.

The Centre for Computing History is an accredited museum and charity situated in Cambridge, with collections and learning at its heart. The museum's core purpose is to increase understanding of the history of computing by exploring its social, cultural and historical impact.

Our collection rightly celebrates the incredible evolution of computing technology. However, the museum also has a responsibility to recognise the ecological impact of the rise of technology, and to date we have not explored these stories. We are excited to have secured funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, for an exciting new two-year project, Broken Tech : Broken Earth. We will be exploring how the explosion in technology over the last 80 years has impacted the local and global environment. More info can be found on our website. 

Role Summary 

We're now seeking a talented, energetic and efficient Project Coordinator to oversee this exploratory project. 

The Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, aims to encourage participatory practice in museums, and this concept lies at the heart of this project. Participatory practice means involving visitors and communities in the creation and interpretation of museum exhibitions, programs, and events content – asking for stories about objects in the collection, rather than assuming we know what the most important stories are. This approach is inclusive, encourages visitors to feel ownership and helps museums discover untold stories about their collections.

We are looking for someone special to co-ordinate this process and exploit our unique platform to raise awareness of environmental issues and e-waste and to create change. The Project Co-ordinator will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Broken Earth Project, including working closely with all external and internal stakeholders, monitoring progress, and ensuring project milestones are met. This new fixed-term role is a critical part of the project and crucial to its success. 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: 

• Strong interest in conservation, ecology and promoting a circular economy 

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and advocacy skills 

• Confidence working with a range of colleagues across a variety of organisations 

• Proven organisational and time management skills

• Experience facilitating in-person and/or online events

• Hours: 22.5 hours per week ideally worked across three days (Weds-Fri) but flexibility is possible, subject to agreement (0.6 FTE). The role is likely to involve work outside of these hours, in the evenings and at weekends. Fixed term until September 2026.

Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton (CABB) is a leading provider of legal advice and information, supporting thousands of clients every year. Our Welfare Benefits team provide an excellent advice service across a number of channels and locations and under a number of different funding streams.

The Welfare Benefits Supervisor will have a detailed understanding of Welfare Benefits advice in order to provide detailed technical support to the Welfare Benefits team and other teams within CABB. There will also be some requirement to provide direct advice to clients.
The Welfare Benefits Supervisor will undertake the following responsibilities:

• Ensure high quality advice by actively listening to/ shadowing advice sessions and conducting independent file reviews,
• Develop team expertise in line with individual training plans and supervisions,
• Provide training and support to develop members of staff,
• Work towards, and maintain technical supervisor standards through a structured training plan,
• Actively contribute to the working of the Welfare Benefit team with solutions and ideas to support the running of the team,

To be successful in this role you will be able to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, exhibit excellent listening and questioning skills and to present and conduct yourself in a professional manner.

You will liaise with contacts across various agencies to find resolutions for escalated issues and you will understand the importance of security and data protection to ensure all data is protected in line with GDPR legislation. You will have a good standard of numeracy and be proficient in the use of computer packages with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You will have an open and friendly demeanour and be able to work as part of a diverse team.

International Programmes Manager: Local First

Salary: £43,000 p.a.

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Location: You can be based at Peace Direct’s office in London or The Hague. We also offer hybrid working.

Peace Direct is an international charity that works with local peacebuilders and their allies to shift power and resources for sustainable peace. Local people are the experts in the conflicts that affect their communities, and only they understand what it takes to build peace that lasts. We make sure these local peacebuilders have the resources they need to make peace a reality, and that their work is resourced, acknowledged and supported by the international community.

The role

The International Programme Manager is responsible for the effective management, coordination and delivery of an ambitious new multi-year programme, Local First: Transforming the Peacebuilding System. This programme will support and strengthen the ecosystem of local actors working for sustainable peace in Afghanistan, Mali, Sudan and eastern DRC, and advocate for increased resourcing and acknowledgement of locally-led peacebuilding.  

We are looking for an experienced, passionate person who can:

• Manage and implement a complex, multi-country programme
• Develop and maintain mutually accountable, trust-based relationships with local peacebuilding actors. This will require working proficiency in French as well as English.
• Contribute to the design and development of new work in support of transforming the peacebuilding system in four focus countries
• Oversee internal and external coordination of Peace Direct’s programmes and partnerships work 
• Line manage a Senior Programmes Officer, and support the work of up to four Local Peacebuilding Advisors
• Contribute to organisational learning and the roll-out of our learning loop
• Contribute to strengthening Peace Direct’s reputation as a leading peacebuilding organisation shifting power and resources for sustainable peace
