CISV International are looking for an experienced administrator to join the Risk Management and Safeguarding team as the Risk Management Support Officer.
The role will focus on supporting the International Risk Management and Safeguarding Lead and the Safeguarding Support Officer to handle the smooth running of the department as well as to help develop the Risk Management provision for our global members.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading on Risk Management administration projects
- Being the gatekeeper for the incident case management system, ensuring all reports and evidence are logged appropriately
- Helping to ensure volunteers comply with training requirements and supporting the development of training resources including online training packages
- Analysing data and statistics to assess seasonal performance of programmes and events

We are looking for someone who is experienced and enthusiastic about joining an exciting, international organisation. You will need to be sensitive to working with people from different cultures all around the world. An understanding of working with volunteers would also be of benefit. As this role will be part of the Risk Management and Safeguarding team there is sometimes the potential to be dealing with very sensitive material involving safeguarding or child protection issues so you will need to be both resilient and adaptable.

Administration and compliance
- To ensure adherence to The Children’s Trust policies and procedures, in particular ensuring full compliance of the shops in line with all Health & Safety legislation, Trading Standards, Risk Assessments, Gift Aid, Lottery and all other legal or statutory requirements:
- Assist in controlling shop expenditure through effective cost control of weekly expenses.
- Ensure minimum losses of both stock and cash by following bank and till procedures and safeguarding the property of The Children’s Trust at all times.
- Adhere to all Policies and Procedures including those relating to the compliance with Health and Safety responsibilities, Gift Aid and Lottery.
- Complete all administration to meet the requirements, standard and deadlines for whom this work is produced.

Personnel and Training

Following the successful application of a National Lottery award, we are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Group Development Officers to set up and sustain local peer support groups for people living with and affected by prostate cancer. These roles focus on building on our established networks to expand peer support in defined areas, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery through strategic outreach and resource development.

Skills and Qualities Required:

The Group Finance Director holds a key role in the executive team in the Foundation Office of the Charity. They are accountable for all matters relating to the UWGCF Charity finance, including the oversight of school income, endowment investments, loans, subsidiary companies, VAT, and the leadership of the Foundation finance team. To succeed in the job, the post holder needs to build effective working relationships with independent school bursars and finance teams and link effectively with the Business managers in the state funded academies.
The UWGCF is a complex organisation, and the post holder will need to demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build effective and supportive working relationships with other and be prepared to engage fully in the work of the Foundation. This may mean working outside of normal working hours but most importantly means communicating and work with colleagues as part of the team.
Initially they will report to the Chair of Trustees, although following a Governance Review and further work on Foundation Strategy, the Trustees may appoint a Foundation CEO. Job Summary:
To act as the primary liaison between CSSC and our 70+ local sports sections.
This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, supporting volunteer needs, and driving the strategic development of our sports sections.
The Local Sports Executive will work closely with the Sports Team to align local sports activities with CSSC’s broader strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management:
- Act as the main point of contact for local sports sections, establishing and maintaining strong, long-term sustainability and growth.
- Ensure regular and effective communication with local sports sections, addressing their needs and providing guidance on day-to-day operations.
Volunteer Support and Development:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of volunteer needs and challenges, providing ongoing support to ensure they can effectively manage their responsibilities.
- Collaborate with CSSC leadership team to develop and implement plans that enhance volunteer engagement and support.
Strategic Alignment and Development:
- Work alongside colleagues in the Sports Team to shape the future of local sports sections, ensuring alignment with the ambitions of CSSC’s sports and physical activity programs as well as the broader organisational goals.
- Understand the role of local sports sections within CSSC’s strategic plan and coordinate the execution of relevant tasks and requirements.
Governance and Compliance:
- Oversee the development and clarification of roles and responsibilities within local sports sections, ensuring governance structures are in place to mitigate potential liabilities.
- Ensure compliance with CSSC’s health and safety protocols, GDPR, financial regulations, and other organisational frameworks to protect volunteers and members.
- Monitor and enforce health and safety protocols across all local sports sections, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of volunteers and members
Funding and Resource Allocation:
- Support the annual bid funding process, assisting local sports sections in securing necessary resources for their activities.
- Establish a good understanding and knowledge of the sports sections financial needs and align them to the funding policies in operation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in sports management/sports clubs.
- Proven experience working with volunteers.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
- Knowledge of governance, health and safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and align local initiatives with broader strategic goals.
Working Pattern:

About the role
Our passionate Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the Regional Office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers.
You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the South East region, which includes: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Guernsey, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Jersey, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Sussex.
There will be occasional travel around the South East Region and you may be required to travel at short notice for face to face meetings.
About the team
The team work remotely and pride themselves in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the ten SSAFA branches in the South East, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The wider support team includes a Casework Manager and a Regional Operations Support Manager.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the South East Region would be valuable.
