About us
Pancreatic cancer is a tough one but we're taking it on. It is tough to diagnose, tough to treat, and tough to research. For too long this disease has been side-lined. We want to make sure that everyone affected by it gets all the help they need. Together we are taking on pancreatic cancer. Underpinning this vision are our three values:

We believe diversity drives great outcomes by encouraging the different points of view that come from a diverse workforce. We want to hear from and engage with people whose experience of dealing with this disease may be very different depending on their individual circumstances and background. We can think of no better way to do this than by making sure this role fully represents our intent; therefore, we are especially keen to consider applications from suitable applicants who consider themselves to be in areas that appear underrepresented within the charity sector.

Inclusion Barnet is Barnet’s Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation (DDPO). All of the board and 75% of staff declare an impairment, and we’re passionate about using our lived experience of disability to work towards inclusive communities and greater social justice for all. This means that, in addition to our traditional services delivered by and for disabled people, we are a groundbreaking organisation working to demonstrate that as disabled people we can take a leadership role in our local community. In a world where disabled people are too often underestimated or written off, we need your help to tell this story.
We’re looking for a natural communicator who can tell our story in an accessible and compelling way. You’ll be able to think creatively, whilst being comfortable keeping across routine but vital tasks such as producing newsletters and updating social media. You’ll take pride in making those outputs the best they can be. It’s required that you have your own lived experience of disability, which could include mental health issues or a long term condition. We also particularly welcome applications from global majority candidates, who are currently underrepresented at this level in our organisation.
Your role will focus on two of our projects: our work with the Barnet Together Alliance supporting the local voluntary sector; and the work of the NCL VCSE Alliance, which we currently chair.
To succeed, you will need an ability to write fluent, interesting copy as well as a familiarity with social media and a basic understanding of design principles. In return, you will become part of a friendly and supportive team, working within a focused but flexible culture, where diversity is valued and you can bring your whole self to work.
This is a UK based role, which can be performed at home. We encourage flexible working to suit your work/life balance preferences where possible. We also operate a Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) system.
To apply, please submit your CV with a brief covering letter clearly stating how you meet the person specification, and how your own lived experience of disability would inform your approach to the role.
The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview during the week of 4th November.
The Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the e-Assessment Association. Job Title: Community Coordinator (North London)
Reporting To: Community Engagement Manager
Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 pro rata
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent.
About The Felix Project
The Felix Project is London’s leading food redistribution charity, dedicated to ensuring good food is never wasted and no one goes hungry. Last year, our nearly 180 staff and over 15,000 volunteers collected 32 million meals of surplus food, distributing it to Londoners in need through a network of over 1,100 community organisations, charities, and schools.
In London, one in five households with children lack reliable access to nutritious food, while the UK wastes 20 tonnes of food per second. The cost of living in London has risen by 24% in the last three years, and food prices continue to climb. About 14% of working families have turned to food support services for the first time in the past year, and 100,000 London families have less than £3 a day for food.
Our work has never been more needed, and demand continues to grow: we are building our expertise and impact in response. The Felix Project now operates from four main depots in North, South, East, and West London, with ‘point-to-point’ projects in Central London and Canary Wharf. The East London depot has a kitchen producing up to 5,000 meals per day from surplus food. A new 'Multibank' in Ealing distributes non-food essentials.
Purpose of the Job:
Based in one of our operational warehouses you will help support Felix’s missions through the development of a network of charities, community groups and other key stakeholders involved supporting vulnerable Londoners across London. Your work will help to build the network’s capacity to accept and distribute food through our depot operations, Green Scheme & Felix Connect and non-food items through Felix’s Multibank.
The Community Coordinator role will support the depot and operational teams, responding to enquiries from the community network to help ensure the smooth flow of food and non-food items whilst delivering excellent customer service. This will include ensuring recipients of our food are compliant with all relevant legislation and guidance as required by our food partners and food business operators.
Your work will help us to effectively monitor and evaluate our growth against our strategic objectives through robust data collection, monitoring and updating using our CRM system.
Benefits
- 25 days annual leave per annum (+ bank holidays) plus up to 5 days additional leave for length of service.
- Enhanced Maternity and Paternity leave.
- Birthday day off.
- Access to benefit platform for a wide range of discounts on everyday spends plus gym discounts.
- Training and development opportunities.
- Employee assistance programme including 24 Hour GP helpline.
- Cycle to Work Scheme.
- Opportunity for free meals whilst working at our depots.
- After work activities such as Felix’s softball team, running club and cycling club
We deliver this surplus food to charities and schools so they can provide healthy meals and help the most vulnerable in our society.

East London Students' Union is a progressive charity that supports around 24,000 students that study at the University of East London. We are based in one of the most diverse boroughs in Europe and our membership proudly reflects the communities where we are based.
Our purpose is to support and empower our students by representing their views and providing a range of supportive services, events and activities to make university life the amazing experience it should be. Our Docklands offices were fully refurbished last year. We're currently refurbishing our common rooms and reception area. Earlier this year in Stratford, we launched an excellent new space with sitting around areas, reception, performance rooms and meetings room.
We're now working to build a students' union that champions their aspirations and can deliver what's needed to make a difference. We're excited about this and have invested in several new posts to give us the expertise needed.
If you are excited by the opportunity to help us do things differently, empower others and build a students' union that can better support our students, then we could have a role for you. If you can operate in environments where change is continual, challenges multi-faceted and where solutions require innovative thinking, you'll thrive here. You'll also need to be self-driven, able to operate with autonomy and be able to balance competing priorities.
You’ll be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of our group activities and events. This includes establishing and working with student-led groups such as societies, communities, media and fundraising. You’ll also deliver training and other development programmes for student leaders in student groups.
You’ll also contribute to projects in key areas such as induction/welcome, student development and event planning.
Diversity is one of the defining features of life at UEL, with over 180 nationalities represented in our student body. Within Newham, where we are based, over 74% of residents are from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities. As we grow our staff team, we are passionate about making our teams representative of the students we support and the communities we operate in. We therefore especially welcome applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates and other candidates typically underrepresented in leadership.
