About the role

You’ll mobilise people to become part of a growing community in the East of England, taking action to improve the lives of everyone affected by Parkinson's. You’ll lead collaboration, joint planning, shared ownership and delivery of area plans to develop a people powered movement, uniting everyone behind a common vision. 

You’ll be responsible for driving forward the charity’s strategic plans, working with the vision of the community in a designated geographical area.  You’ll grow, facilitate and inspire a movement of people that is supported to have a positive impact and is reflective of the local community.

Your area of responsibility will cover Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.

I am urgently seeking an experienced Reward Practitioner for a Charity to undertake an almost fully remote position as Interim Reward Business Partner for an initial 3 month contract. The role can pay a salary in the range of £55,000 to £65,000 per year or a day rate of £300 to £350 per day through an umbrella company, depending upon experience.

The role

Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in establishing and developing Global Greengrants Fund UK’s offering to individual donors to be able to make gifts of £100,000 annually, in order to secure significant unrestricted income for the organisation.

GGF UK has a small portfolio of existing high net worth individual (HNWI) supporters but is currently primarily reliant on income from trusts and foundations. The post holder will join the organisation at a time of very significant growth and will be expected to be able to work autonomously to build out a new income stream with significant potential to diversify our revenue and strengthen the organisation’s support to grassroots environmental justice movements.

Working as part of the Philanthropic Partnerships team and reporting to the Director of Philanthropic Partnerships, the postholder will also collaborate closely with colleagues across the global organisation Global Greengrants Fund, particularly within the Programmes, Communications, and Development teams towards realising organisational aims.

The candidate profile

The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, and/or grant-making organisation. They will be an experienced, senior-level fundraiser with a track record of securing and developing successful relationships with HNWIs to achieve ambitious income goals. They will have extensive experience in developing pitches, proposals, and fundraising products; and a strong interest in environmental justice, international development or human rights issues. They will have an extensive knowledge of the funding and philanthropy sectors in the UK and Europe; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and be confident in engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including at senior levels. They should also have excellent interpersonal understanding, relationship-building, stewardship, and conceptual skills to build strong alliances with diverse constituencies and manage complex politics, positioning, and relationships. They also thrive in a virtual environment and are motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions.

About the role

We are recruiting a Senior Events Manager to join our Events team on a permanent basis. This Senior Events Manager will strategically advise stakeholders on event format, content and delivery to ensure it maximises not only the project objectives, but wider UCL objectives as a whole. The postholder will not only focus on the logistics of producing top-class events for UCL, but will also be involved in advising on the content and context of the events, to ensure that UCL's story is being told as widely as possible and the impact is as far-reaching as possible.

The Senior Events Manager will effectively resource projects across the team of Event Managers and Event Officers, motivating and empowering to deliver engaging activity, and will also line manage a team. About you

To excel in this role you will need to have extensive experience of creating, organising and managing a variety of successful in-person and virtual events including large events (2,000 plus) as well as bespoke content-led activity, and a thorough knowledge of strategic event planning - not just the logistics - to make sure events are insight-led, meet defined objectives, tell a clear story and can be successfully measured. We now seek an interim Head of Place Management to join our Place Management team. Whilst this is a maternity cover position, it is a critical appointment, with an equal emphasis on strategic oversight and operational delivery. Our work is complex, and you must deliver to specific targets and objectives, which always looking ahead at how best to achieve our purpose. Reporting to SBEG’s Director of Place and working closely with all SBEG’s members and the wider business community, you’ll lead and deliver important work for SBEG, South Bank Business Improvement District, and Jubilee Gardens Trust. Whilst you do not have line management responsibility, you will work closely with a small team who are highly innovative and ambitious.

We seek someone with experience in similar role with the knowledge of how the urban public realm is managed and maintained. Experience in contract management including contract review, negotiation, and tender processes and the management of contractor and suppliers is key. You will come experienced in managing projects and experience in developing specifications and managing procurement processes. Strong understand of managing budgets, including those with multiple income streams and of multi-agency working is essential, including local authorities, private sector, and community and voluntary organisations.

You will be able to advocate and influence in a complex and dynamic stakeholder environment and come with a natural ability to engage with diverse organisations and individuals. Whilst you need to be strategically minded and horizon scan, we need a ‘doer’ with the ability to deliver practical results in what is a fast-paced role, often with demanding priorities.

• Advising, guiding, preparing and pastorally accompanying those discerning a calling to senior leadership roles in the Church, creating frameworks, supporting the process of identifying, sustaining and developing as diverse a pipeline as possible.
• Advising bishops and others on individuals who may have a calling to senior leadership roles, pastorally supporting clergy in their discernment, identifying, supporting and signposting to areas for ongoing development.

• Proactively and professionally engaging with diocesan stakeholders on the planning and delivery of appointment processes and associated consultations within dioceses and cathedrals, drafting high-quality, comprehensive reports that sensitively and appropriately articulate and encapsulate the joys and challenges of the mission and ministry of the Church in a given context.
• Supporting the work of appointment panels, professionally and confidently guiding and advising them in their discernment, whilst following agreed policies and procedures. Drafting high-quality role profiles, adverts, candidate briefing packs and other documentation. Coordinating and preparing for, advising on and participating in, longlisting, shortlisting and interview processes.
• Journeying alongside candidates at all stages in the process, making sure they are fully and pastorally supported in their discernment, working with colleagues to provide appropriate feedback and advising on areas of ministerial development.

• Using best practice in HR and development to contribute to other projects related to the work of the team, including, but not limited to, policy, frameworks and systems, governance, oversight and communications. Carrying out research, drafting and keeping updated high-quality reports, policy and other papers. Ensuring that the team is at the forefront of the implementation and sharing of best practice, collaborating with key stakeholders, both internal and external.

• Educated to degree level, or equivalent recent and continuous professional development.
• A human resources and/or coaching qualification commensurate with the scope of the role, with evidence of recent and continuous professional development and demonstrable HR and coaching experience and skills.

• This is a demanding and impactful role that will require the post holder to occasionally work hours outside those prescribed. It will also require frequent travel around the dioceses of the Church of England and occasional evening working.

As a Senior Innovation and Product Development Manager, you will lead on new fundraising product development at the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

We have ambitious growth plans for innovation and product development at BHF, and this is an incredible opportunity for those who want to apply their talent, skills, and determination to change the future of innovation at the one of the UK’s largest charities.
 
In this role, you’ll develop and deliver a programme of fundraising innovation that, when successful, will accelerate, recalibrate, and challenge our Fundraising, Marketing and Communications strategy. Your pipeline will be focused on sustainable, short-term income growth by launching fundraising products and propositions that reach new audiences and generate new revenue for the charity.

Taking ideas from customer insight, through ideation, prototyping and launch to help significantly grow income and support our mission-led directorates. You’ll engage with and support senior level stakeholders to develop new product concepts, business models and product development strategies. 

This role will line manage two Innovation Managers.

Working arrangements

Please note this is a fixed term contract until April 2025, covering family leave.

This is a dual location role, with your working time split between your home and our London Office.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you have strong experience designing and developing new product concepts and propositions in the charity sector, managing them through discovery and prototyping, and delivering fundraising products to consumers against commercial performance indicators.

With excellent project management, communication, and organisational skills, you have experience of leading innovation cycles, agile sprint and ideation sessions, a working knowledge of agile digital delivery processes and practice, and a track record of launching brand new concepts, campaigns, and products.

Head of People

We are seeking an experienced Head of People to drive forward the HR Strategy, manage the People Team, and support a growing Network of Youth Zones.

This is a permanent role offering hybrid working.

Position: Head of People

Location: Hybrid working. Blend of home-based and office (you must live within regular commutable distance of Bolton or White City, London)

Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 (dependent upon experience)

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of People, a key focus of this role will be to provide hands-on management to an experienced People consisting of a People Support Manager and Talent Acquisition Coordinator.

However, it is much wider than team management; it is about relationships. Relationships with internal colleagues, relationships with Network contacts, and relationships with third party suppliers. The role is seen as a crucial support function for the youth zones, and it is imperative that you are able to build rapport quickly and be an approachable and knowledgeable source of expertise and support for colleagues.

Some of your key duties include:

• Providing professional management, support and development to the People team
• Supporting the delivery and implementation of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy
• Coaching, supporting and advising on complex ER matters; upskilling managers with regular training and support
• Supporting senior level recruitment across the charity’s Network
• Supporting the continued launch of PeopleHR

About You

You must have proven HR Leadership experience and have managed varied HR Teams. If this experience has been gained from organisations that service young people – even better!

Other experience and skills you will need include:

• Experience of managing and overseeing HR systems and budgets
• Experience of promoting and supporting a coaching culture
• In-depth knowledge of employment law
• The ability to develop and nurture relationships across the organisation
• A proactive and agile work ethic
