Westway Trust is seeking a highly committed and experienced Facilities Manager to join our thriving organisation based in North Kensington.
As Facilities Manager, you will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of Westway Trust’s properties, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations. You will manage both in-house teams and subcontractors to deliver effective and efficient facilities management, focusing on proactive and responsive maintenance across the Trust's land.
You will need to have the right blend and balance of technical and practical skills, legislative and commercial awareness, people management and facilities maintenance strategy formulation and delivery skills. You will also be committed to working for a charity supporting and enhancing the lives of people in the local community.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Actively procure and manage contracts and services providers.
- Management of hard & soft services.
- Managing the Facilities Maintenance team and subcontractors for organising day-to-day and reactive maintenance of Trust’s properties.
- Line management of the small maintenance team.
- Provide plant and asset performance reports to support future CAPEX projects.
- Responsible for the preparation and management of service charge budgets.
- Ensure the maintenance services fully meet both contractual and statutory requirements, including undertaking sub-contractor and in-house audits and monitoring KPI’s.
- Preparation of Risk Assessments and Method statements.
- Develop and manage systems for the ‘Control of Contractors’ including the delivery of permit-to-work systems.
- Develop a programme for improving the efficiency of plant across the Estate.
- Liaison with the Trust’s Property Management Team, to programme refurbishment works and ensure its delivery in a timely manner.
Qualification:
- Facilities Management qualification or relevant experience. Formal H&S qualification.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience of managing facilities across a diverse property portfolio.
- Demonstrable experience of the procurement of contractors and service providers for both hard & soft services.
- Experience of managing sub-contractor relationships and supply chain management within a multi-faceted operation.
- Experience in health and safety and risk management.
- Working knowledge of statutory compliance within the facilities environment.
- Experience in the development and management of PPM programmes.
- Experience in the understanding of COSHH.
- Understanding of EPC requirements..
- Experience of budget and project management.
- Demonstrable experience of successfully managing a team.

Westway Trust is seeking a passionate and committed Grounds Person to support the Grounds and Gardens team with the maintenance and development of the grounds and gardens across the Trust's 23 acres of land, ensuring the Trust's land is kept clean, tidy, safe and attractive at all times.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Provide support to the Ground and Gardens Team to maintain and improve soft and hard landscaping on Trust land as directed by the Grounds and Gardens Manager.
- Maintain the Trust’s grounds to a high standard to include the removal of graffiti, fly posting and any other unauthorised applications to comply with the Trust’s zero policy of anti-social behaviour towards the Trust’s properties.
- Support the Ground and Gardens Team to undertake planned and unplanned maintenance work on the Trust’s grounds as directed by the Grounds and Gardens Manager.
- Work with the Grounds & Gardens team to ensure the Trust’s land remains clean and tidy at all times (fly-tipping/bins/parking).
- Support the Caretaker to provide access for contractor and utility providers and supervision of onsite contractors as required.
- Responsible for the proper use, maintenance and safe storage of all plant machinery, tools and equipment.
- Keep hand tools and small garden machinery in good clean condition. Where required, inform members of the public using the Trust’s land of rules governing its use and move on users who choose not to observe them.
- Assist with maintaining the log of incidents/occurrences that happen on the Trust’s land.
- To act in a professional, efficiently and courteous manner at all times when communicating with colleagues, stakeholders and the general public.
- Ensure all relevant Health and Safety standards are adhered to.
Experience, knowledge and skills:
- Basic knowledge of ground maintenance duties.
- Experience of working in public open spaces.
- Practical ability to use and maintain tools.
- Good knowledge of the local area is desirable.

They will need to be comfortable working as part of a remote team and able to travel to Emmaus communities across the UK to work with staff and companions.

As the Director of Programme Performance, you will be pivotal in leading a team responsible for the design, implementation, and management of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems. To support our mission we are recruiting a Communications and Fundraising Officer to help deliver on our ambitious growth plans to reach 2 million people by 2030. Main duties:
- Board Administration: You will support the Secretary in planning and overseeing the running of Trustee elections; oversee the induction programme for new Trustees; maintain the website to ensure that it remains up to date with membership records and terms of office; assist with the servicing of Board Committees and act as Minute Secretary if required, producing accurate and timely minutes.
- Director: You will provide administrative support to the Director, calendar management including coordinating meetings, draft agendas, prepare minutes and arrange logistics e.g. venue selection, room bookings and refreshments. You will conduct research and analysis on topics as required. You will draft and revise correspondence, reports, presentations and letters, and support the Director in maintaining and enhancing relationships with volunteers, funders, and other external partners.
- Communications: You will assist the Director and Board with both internal and external communications and maintain up-to-date mailing lists and databases.
- You will develop and maintain a central monitoring log of statutory returns made by the organisation to various regulatory bodies, and liaise with the Risk & Compliance Committee in preparing the annual report. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the fulfilment of annual reporting commitments to external bodies such as Charity Commission and Companies House. You will create and maintain a register and review cycle for organisational policies.
- You will provide oversight for the timely management of leases and contracts and ensure that insurance and contracts are in place to provide required cover.
- You will provide administrative support to the Director for routine HR operations, including recruitment processes.
- You will provide assistance with additional administrative duties as required.
Person specification:
The successful candidate will be a highly organised administrator, with a wide range of skills, who will be able to provide guidance to the Director and Officers across UKMT’s governance and executive activities. They will operate with confidence and agility in interactions with a range of stakeholders including staff, volunteers, Trustees, and sponsors. The role does not have line management responsibilities.
Essential
- Degree or professional qualification in business management, administration or any other relevant field OR significant experience in administration in lieu of a formal qualification.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities, showcasing initiative, teamwork, and adaptability to manage competing priorities effectively. Demonstrable ability to prioritise and ensure key deadlines are met.
- Demonstrated capability to source information from a broad array of sources and networks, and summarise clearly and concisely in written or verbal briefings.
- Independent judgement and the autonomy to work without direct supervision in response to new and unfamiliar challenges or tasks.

The Baobab Centre is a non-residential therapeutic community that supports young asylum seekers and refugees who have experienced human rights abuses and have sought asylum in the UK as unaccompanied minors. Our two focus areas are rehabilitation and justice.
This is a unique opportunity for a passionate and experienced fundraiser to progress further in their career, with the freedom to creatively enhance and develop the fundraising strategy of an impactful community-based charity.
As Senior Fundraising Lead you will be Baobab’s key fundraiser and a self-starter with experience of working in a small or medium sized charity. You will lead on the development of fundraising at Baobab, exploring new avenues for funding, as well as nurturing and growing existing fundraising relationships. You will be responsible for strategising and carrying out a successful program of fundraising from small, medium and large charitable trusts and foundations to an agreed annual fundraising target. You will also assist in delivering Baobab’s individual major donor programme, helping to set up and deliver communications and events related to this income stream. There is scope to explore further fundraising activites including events, corporate and community fundraising. You will play a central role and work closely with our operations team, as well as recieving expert monthly mentoring from a senoir fundraising consultant.
This role is for 4 or 5 days per week depending on your preference, it will include Fridays which is when staff meetings are held.

The Contactless giving Fundraising Team sits within the wider F2F Fundraising and Individual Giving Team
This important role entails working with the Trusts regional teams as a Team Leader within the wider Face to Face (F2F) fundraising team In this particular instance this role will have a focus on championing our Contactless Giving Workstreams across the regions, with the support of their face to face fundraising colleagues.
They are responsible for delivery of our contactless giving programme and ensuring that they are able to setup a maintain a varied programme of workstreams by sourcing and providing key technology and tools to all of the Trusts regions. You will help drive delivery of the agreed Team and individual targets and KPI’s for the region(s) with a particular focus on Contactless Giving.
This role will work across the regions as a dedicated national support and will be required at times to provide hands on coaching, training and support regionally to drive ongoing engagement and enthusiasm for the programme. They will also support the Regional Face to Face Fundraising Managers to identify and business case potential future opportunities when required.
You will play a significant role in supporting the day to day management of our contactless giving income stream by supporting our F2F Fundraisers, regional colleagues and volunteers, ensuring our Values & Behaviours and performance excellence standards are met on a consistent basis.
Location & coverage
You will be working remotely and should expect to spend more than 50% of your week out on location meeting with your fundraising team across the region.
There is an expectation of working some weekend days at our key regional events, spread over the year and being a part of the weekend Contactless Giving management rota, which denotes working at least one weekend per month.
As a remote worker you will be assigned one of our main hub spaces as as your formal base
Relevant hubs include: Leeds, Ellesmere Port, Burnley.
Working Hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday with occasional weekend & bank holiday working.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
Key Accountabilities:
- Work with the Contactless Giving Fundraising Manager to devise robust strategies to achieve weekly & monthly volume and quality based fundraising targets, particular focus on Contactless Giving within the regions, Museums and attractions and our F2F Fundraising teams.
- Develop contactless fundraising techniques with the Contactless Giving Fundraising Manager that improve income generation for the Trust.
- Support the Face to Face fundraising management team with reviews and business casing of future fundraising opportunities for the face to face & regional fundraising programme.
- Ensure management of key contactless giving channels including devices, signage, branded clothing and collateral all contain contactless donation touchpoints across the network.
- Adhere to the IOF and Fundraising Regulator Code of conduct.
- Handle all sensitive and data protected information obtained by donors as confidential and in a safe and secure manner in line with the Trust’s GDPR and Security Procedures.
- Ensure regular Compliance checks and training sessions are delivered to the F2F team and Regional colleagues, particualrly around Contactless Giving.
- Clear, regular and timely communication with the Team and all members of the senior management team.
- Nurture and maintain positive relationships with regional colleagues to support delivery of F2F fundraising priorities, engagement and training; particularly contactless giving programme.
- Coach and mentor team members in the region and support the maintenance of performance targets and improvements where needed.
- Ensure that all data input and insight reporting is maintained for the benefit of the team including key systems such as CRM, Evergiving and other fundraising platforms and technologies.
