We’re on a mission to make a difference in the lives of girls and young women by creating amazing journeys that inspire and empower. We’re currently looking for a passionate SEO Manager to lead on SEO strategy across our current and future digital estates. Do you have experience in public or member facing digital platforms that connect with their audiences?

If so, we want to hear from you and could have an incredible opportunity to work with us and help guide us as part of our broad digital teams.

At Girlguiding we’re changing our digital approach and how we make a difference to over a third of a million girls and 75 thousand volunteers in the UK. We are proud to be over 110 years old and have constantly been changing throughout our time and we’re now looking at the next steps on this path within our evolving digital strategy.

We’re searching for an inquisitive, analytical, and progressive SEO Manager who will help us maximise the value of our digital portfolio and help drive more engagement using their search techniques and strategy. You will:

· Develop, lead and manage Girlguiding’s SEO strategy across the appropriate digital platforms.

· Engage, manage and inspire users and stakeholders (especially marketing, communications, and digital teams), to identify their needs whilst meeting strategic objectives.

· Be the business SEO subject matter expert, you’ll be the point of contact, and escalation

· Proactively be on top of user behaviour and interaction to make evidence-based decisions from feedback (internally and externally) and insights from data. So being comfortable with analytical tools is key.

· Champion best practices and help show us what great looks like, how we get there and promote this in our organisation

· Care for, coach and develop SEO practice and skillset across the organisation

You’ll need to be resilient, tenacious and comfortable with ambiguity as we work to evolve our digital capability and platforms and have a truly positive approach and growth mindset.

In return you’ll great a warm welcome from an amazing group of like-minded people and the chance to work on all things digital which will support us to give life-changing experiences and aspirations.

About Girlguiding

This is a really exciting time to join Girlguiding. We have much to be proud of in our one hundred years of history, but we know that to remain vibrant and relevant to young people we must continually evolve.

We’ve begun a process of significant change: transforming the organisation so it can meet the challenges of the future by putting young people at the heart of our organisation. We’re on a mission to amplify the voices of girls and young women, so they can champion change in their own lives and the wider world; to build strong partnerships that can increase our reach and impact, and to increase the support we offer our amazing adult volunteers who deliver incredible experiences to young people across the UK every week.

Girlguiding values the differences that a diverse workforce brings and is committed to inclusivity, and to employing and supporting a diverse workforce. We are proud to work with a number of organisations who support us to create and maintain a culture that celebrates diversity and champions inclusion in the workplace. While Girlguiding’s young members may be women only, our staff team is mixed gender. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

Girlguiding operates a hybrid working arrangement where office based staff are required to attend the office on average two days a week, or 40% of working time across the year. Location allowance is payable to those who work in accordance with out hybrid working model. We’re committed though to supporting our staff to achieve a good work-life balance and offer flexible working options wherever we reasonably can. All staff are required to carry out our online health and safety training and complete a DSE risk assessment to ensure we can provide the support you require.

We strive to ensure our recruitment processes are accessible to everyone. If you would like to receive any information in a different way or would like support in helping you to apply, please get in touch with us.
