Kids Club Kampala is a UK charity with a Christian ethos that works to transform the lives of children in the slums of Kampala in Uganda. We help children and families in Uganda to survive and to thrive by providing for both their immediate needs and strengthening their futures through community outreach, protecting, educating, and skilling. About the Role
We are looking for a committed and detail-oriented Finance and Administration Officer to help manage the day-to-day financial and administrative functions of our growing charity. As part of our friendly, supportive team, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping us organised and driving the charity forward during this exciting stage of our development.
This role is home-based, with monthly travel to Birmingham for team meetings.

Financial Administration

Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including processing receipts, invoices, payments, and expenses.

Budgeting and Reporting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and reports for internal management and external stakeholders.

Grant Management: Track income and expenditure related to grants and restricted funds, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.

Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage payments to suppliers and reconcile incoming donations and funds.

Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.

Administrative Duties:

Donation processing: Timely and accurate processing of donations including creating receipts and data management.

Office Management: Oversee general administrative tasks, including managing office supplies, correspondence, file management and documentation.

HR Administration: Support the HR function with staff records, leave tracking, and recruitment documentation.

Board and Committee Support: Assist with preparing financial reports, minutes and other documentation for Board meetings and other key committees.

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an amazing fundraiser to join our Church and Christian Engagement team. The heart of our work centres around engaging and inspiring Churches and Christians to join us- through regular giving, one off donations, action and prayer. Whether in churches, at festivals or events you will be sharing World Vision’s work around the world helping the most vulnerable children overcome poverty and experience fullness of life. You will join a team working across various fundraising and engagement activities throughout the year. You will build and manage your own caseload of external relationships across the UK, combining face-to-face, online and telephone work, to connect with churches and individuals. Key areas of responsibility include:
- Confidently building connections with churches and their leaders towards engaging with World Vision’s work, creating opportunities for individual giving or gifts from the church community.
- Using existing resources, campaigns and engagement tools to engage churches and individual Christians to support our work.
- Build a caseload of engaged church contacts to meet or exceed annual fundraising & acquisition goals, managing your time & workload.
- Ensure churches are on the correct supporter journey for their level of engagement, using appropriate touchpoints (telephone, email, meetings, hand written notes etc) to intelligently engage with key contacts. Maintenance of records, use of CRM system, monthly reporting on income and financial management including making sure gifts are properly allocated.
- Sharing WV’s work through in an audience appropriate way, including (but not limited to) presentations to church leaders, speaking in church services, or other external opportunities. Making a clear and compelling ask.
- Attending events (online and in person) to connect with individuals and leaders as a member of the WV team.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent attention to detail and be able to juggle multiple projects/pieces of information and form them into well-ordered activity plans and be able to prioritise.

Democracy Classroom is a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections and democracy. Democracy Classroom pools the collective support of the sector through the Democracy Classroom Platform, where teachers and youth workers can access the collective support of the membership.
Following the recent General Election, the network has experienced growth and is now preparing to support upcoming elections, votes at 16 and new developments such as changes to democratic education and the curriculum review. The network is non-partisan and works across all 4 nations in the UK.
The aims of the network include:
Increasing the number of young people engaging with democracy and elections.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The post holder will work with the Director and the Programme Manager of Democracy Classroom to support the growth of the Democracy Classroom network by managing the website / platform. They will:
- Liaise with partners to compile learning resources and training opportunities to share on the platform.
- Add resources, training opportunities and other relevant information to the platform as required.
- Ensure the platform is kept up to date and accessible.
- Support Democracy Classroom communication channels - producing Democracy Classroom newsletters and creating engaging social media content to highlight the work of partners, their learning resources and training opportunities, on the platform.
The post holder will also:
- Coordinate training for teachers and youth workers to deliver election education materials.
- Manage the Democracy Classroom database.
- Assist with monitoring and evaluation.

The job is based on a 12 month, fixed term contract (including a 6-month probation period), with opportunities for extension.

The Role
The Live Music Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of live music experiences across the North of England, improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.
You will work with professional musicians to share live music with people who may not otherwise get to experience it, organising programmes with partner organisations, in line with the organisation’s strategy and operational plan.
You will also support the delivery of the annual programme of live music experiences communicating with hospitals, hospices, care homes and the community. This includes those living with dementia, who have mental health problems, or who are seriously ill.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Coordination of the live music programme
- Prepare reports and appropriate feedback to the Live Music Manager and support to the Fundraising and Communications team as per the reporting timeframes required

- Encourage, collate and monitor feedback reports from healthcare centres, participants and musicians

The National Energy Foundation is an independent charity based in Milton Keynes, which has been at the forefront of improving the use of energy in buildings since 1988. We aim to give people, organisations and government the knowledge, support and inspiration they need to understand, manage and reduce the use of energy in buildings.
Role Summary
Our Project Officers are fundamental to the successful delivery of NEF’s programmes and projects. You will be responsible for core project deliverables, which will likely include significant contact with customers, members and funders of NEF. You will provide advice and guidance to the public through our helpline and case management services, managing a caseload of live customers throughout their end-to-end journey with NEF. You could be involved in any one of our work streams, which could include liaising with people in fuel poverty, young people and those seeking support and advice on how to reduce the carbon foot print of their home.
Alongside this, you could be delivering awareness sessions or training to employers or the public; certainly, you’ll be representing NEF at public meetings and events. This role is very much about communication and people, but you’ll also need be organised, diligent and able to navigate various systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities

Provide residents with information and advice via our telephone helpline, including checking their eligibility for grant funding for energy saving measures and making onward referrals to installers.

Provide advice regarding energy efficiency and fuel switching.

Prepare and deliver training to a range of audiences, providing information on the programmes and funding available.

Liaise between householders and their chosen installers to ensure the smooth installation of appropriate energy efficiency measures.

Researching and collaborating with potential clients to join our membership programmes and taking this through to sign up.

Manage a range of systems and processes, including relevant CRM systems and/or databases.

Adhere fully to NEF Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Provide secretariat services to programme steering groups, including arranging meetings, suggesting agendas, taking minutes and ensuring all participants are cognisant with the aims of the programme.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans and work with the maintenance team, working to maintain the general condition of the land and National Cycle Network (NCN) around the county of Yorkshire.
As the Estates Maintenance Operative, you will carry out regular maintenance duties on the path and surrounding owned land, including habitat and vegetation management and general repairs and upkeep to the boundaries and structures.
You will all liaise with path users, volunteers, neighbours and officers within partner organisations where necessary.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.
About you
You should have experience working outside in a paid or voluntary capacity engaging with the public.
We ask that you ideally have experience of using power tools such as Brush Cutters, Strimmers and Hedge Cutters, and the application of pesticides.
You will need to have a full clean UK Driving licence for this role as you will be travelling around the region in a Sustrans owned vehicle

About this key role
You will focus on providing comprehensive and holistic assessments, advice, referrals and support to women aged 18 years and above. This will see you produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, ensuring you create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with clients.
We will rely on you to match clients to placements and ensure positive relationships with placements providers, to interview and assess new clients – providing one-to-one support throughout – and to plan and deliver a training programme, leading to the achievement of Level 3 Certificate in Advice and Guidance, in accordance with accreditation requirements. Working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards and maintaining and updating all records required, including learner portfolios, course content folders and monitoring systems are both key aspects of the role, as is working constructively with colleagues to achieve project targets.

Lyde Green Community Association CIO (LGCA) is a charity that has been set up by residents for the benefit of the community in Lyde Green and the surrounding area. It is run by local volunteers, with the objective of generating community spirit and making Lyde Green a great place to live and visit. As well as organising community events, we support a community partnership that meets regularly to solve problems that matter to residents and help the whole community shape its future.
The LGCA run and operate Lyde Green Community Centre, situated at the heart of Lyde Green near the local primary school and nursery. It is an exciting time to be working in Lyde Green, and the LGCA have received lots of support from both residents and local partners to date.
Your responsibilities
General
- · Work closely with the Charity Manager and Trustees to ensure the outcomes of the Community Connector project are delivered
- · Lead and embed the LGCA’s strengths-based community development approach
- · Work as the Charity’s Volunteer Coordinator, developing and maintaining guidance and encouraging active participation in the community
- · Help plan and support charity events
- · Being an initial point of contact for the charity’s community engagement work, dealing with enquiries across multiple channels
