Job description

Our client, a prestigious university in London, is currently seeking a full-time, temporary Events Administrator to provide crucial support to the Events Manager in executing the university's event programme. This includes organising key events such as open evenings, graduations, public and inaugural lectures, and other high-profile College functions. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum requirement of one onsite day per week (Tuesday). However, increased onsite presence will be necessary for event days, which may occur in the early evenings or occasionally on weekends, with time off in lieu provided. The position is expected to start as soon as possible, initially running through November.

This dynamic and varied role is ideal for someone looking to build on their prior experience in event support within the higher education sector. You will assist the Events Manager in planning and coordinating both virtual and in-person events, managing logistics and operations in the lead-up to events, and serving as the primary point of contact via telephone, email, and mail, addressing inquiries from staff, guests, and attendees. Additionally, you will help promote and attend events, providing hands-on assistance as needed, and will collect and compile event statistics for the annual report.

We are looking for candidates with previous experience in a fast-paced administrative or support role within the events field, particularly within higher education. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage and prioritise a diverse workload while working well under pressure. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

As this role is set to begin immediately, candidates must be available at short notice.

As a specialist recruitment practice, we are committed to fostering inclusive and diverse workplaces. We welcome applications from all sections of the community and are dedicated to supporting you throughout your application process.
