As our Helpline Service Manager, you will lead play a crucial role in leading this mission forward. 

We are looking for a Helpline Service Manager to play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the project plan that will enable us to set up and establish the helpline, and to have the foundations in place to enable the day to day running of this helpline.

1. Manage the planning, delivery, and evaluation of a new pilot helpline in line with strategic and operational objectives.

2. Work to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

3. Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers.

• Significant experience in leading and developing large-scale, high-quality services, including ideally experience in helpline service management.

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

About the role

This is a new role at CoppaFeel! as we grow and develop our finance team. As the Senior Finance Manager, you will have responsibility for overseeing CoppaFeel!’s finances . The Senior Finance Manager will be a key role in providing support and analysis to help decision-making for Leadership team.

• Support on the annual Budgeting and quarterly Forecasting process
• Support with long term financial plans

• Preparation of budget holder monthly reports and other internal financial reports

• Create and maintain positive relationships with members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and team managers in order to aid in their understanding of budgets and financial statements, and to support them with their day-to-day budget management and finance needs.

Finance processing

• Manage day to day running of the finance function (Banking, team queries)
• Trial balance reconciliation and month end journals
• Manage and maintain appropriate financial policies and financial controls mitigating financial risk and implementing best practice.

Skills and experience

Essential

• Part qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
• Evidence of building successful working relationships externally and internally and at all levels of an organisation
• Able collaborate and use good interpersonal skills to navigate complex and or difficult conversations
• Ability to analyse complex information, problem solve and communicate findings effectively.
• Have good working knowledge of reporting requirements and UK charity regulations experience including SORP

Charity Manager,

ABOUT US: The Counselling Partnership is an independent, local community charity.  We are committed to improving mental well-being by providing professional, affordable one-to-one counselling to adults facing a variety of difficulties.  These include depression, bereavement, anger, stress, anxiety, abuse, loss, phobias, post-traumatic stress, relationship, self-esteem, trauma and work or career-related issues. 

The Charity has a double purpose.  Addressing the psychological needs of our local community through appropriate counselling interventions is our first objective, but we do this by offering counsellors in training appropriate clinical experience, thereby helping to grow the counselling resources available to the wider community.

We have two outreach counselling rooms in Walton on Thames and Woking and provide on-line counselling to clients throughout Surrey.

The service provides individual therapy to people who have mild to moderate psychological issues, and we are able to offer counselling for up to a year, for clients who require longer term intervention to address presenting issues.

The Role 
 
As our Deputy Shop Manager you will be responsible for setting up our brand-new shop in Hull, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.

• Support the Shop Manager to maximise the income and profit of the shop through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation. 

• Manage a team of well-trained volunteers in the absence of the Shop Manager and take every effort to create a happy retail environment. 

• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received). 

• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Office Manager would work with our small team of 7 staff by providing organisational and administrative support. 

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, advanced proficiency in G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), general bookkeeping skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Experience of working with a database  is a desirable skill.

As the Peer to Peer Groupwork Facilitator you will set up, lead and deliver a year-long peer to peer group programme for bereaved families who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child.

The groupwork is based on a programme led by Harvard University and Boston’s Children’s hospital and has structured sessions drawing upon psychological model of CBT, although the sessions are not therapeutic. Each session has a theme and incorporates education, guidance and support.

You will establish and deliver a new peer online support group, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery and creating a safe and welcoming space for bereaved families.

Outside the group sessions you will be responsible for managing the administration and evaluation of the service, including and collection of questionnaires and feedback required for reporting purposes and supporting members with any signposting requirements processing referrals, carrying out eligibility screening, monitoring the waiting list and inputting and keeping all database member and service records up to date.

It is a key time to be joining the charity and helping us to continue to save babies’ lives and support bereaved families. The charity has been hugely successful, but the work is far from done. The impact of the sudden death of a baby is wide and never goes away, as we know from the families that we support. This drives all our work, across each department. We are seeking an experienced finance professional to provide high quality management and control of the finance function at our multi-site Christian outdoor adventure charity. Reporting to the Finance Director, the post holder will work closely with members of the senior management team to facilitate the smooth operation of Rock UK’s finances. Working closely with the Senior Programme Manager, MEAL Manager, Advocacy Manager, and Research and Technical Advisor, the Programmes Officer will ensure seamless coordination of activities, enhance data-driven decision-making processes, and contribute to impactful advocacy and research initiatives.

The salary for this position is £26,999 (FTE) – Lead Level.  We have fully embraced flexible working and the role can be either fully remote, hybrid or fully based at our Colchester offices. The deputy service manager will contribute to the management of the IDVA and community based services, in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures and quality management system.  This involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.

The post holder will provide line management and support to staff. This will include providing supervision on complex casework issues such as child protection, overseeing operational emergencies and ensuring high standards of support. Working closely with the services manager to ensure that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully and that Refuge’s high quality standards are maintained, the role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.

The job involves working closely with members of staff that support victims and survivors of domestic abuse using our services.  As a member of the management team, the post holder will be required to participate in an out-of-hours management service.

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies. 

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

We are looking for someone to join our Public Fundraising Team as a Senior Challenge & Public Events Officer, to independently manage and have overall responsibility for leading on the planning and delivery of a pilot bespoke running event happening in May 2025. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of project managing large-scale events with exceptional organisational skills; developing multi-channel marketing plans; developing and delivering complex stewardship journeys, and have strong relationship management skills. 

Please note that this is an 8-month opportunity, of 21 hours per week. Due to the time-sensitive nature of planning this event, we are looking to have someone in post by mid-October. Please take this into consideration when submitting your application.
