The Young Ealing Foundation’s vision is to ensure all young people in Ealing can access the opportunities and support they need to grow up and lead happy and safe lives, fulfil their potential and become a valued and listened to part of the local community. As a small, place-based charity, we often find ourselves responding in dynamic ways to local need, whether of the children and young people in Ealing, or the grassroots charities who form our membership. This role would suit someone who gets excited about approaching opportunities in innovative ways and moving quickly to enact these. 

Our Ealing Young Champions programme has been developed over the last four years, and we have secured multi-year funding to run projects designed to engage and empower local young people to advocate for practical solutions to address the issues that they and their peers face. Whilst a core group has been established over time, the way the project is run will be set by the successful applicant according to their own experience of working with young people.

We are also about to begin an exciting new project, taking over a local Library and developing it as a hub for services for children, young people and families in Greenford, alongside a core library offer for the local community. The appointed person will be instrumental in engaging with local young people to ensure they have a say in how the building and services within it are developed.

Main Purpose of the role:

1. Manage the planning, recruitment and delivery of our Ealing Young Champions Youth Voice project

2. Advocate for and embed youth voice into the work of partners, stakeholders and members and identify new opportunities to develop youth voice and co-production programmes

3. Work with colleagues to set a strategy for embedding co-production in YEF’s organisational practice

4. To provide project management and support on youth engagement with the Greenford Library project

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental or physical health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.

We are recruiting employment support workers for a new primary care Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment service in the London Borough of Enfield.

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental and physical health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental and physical health challenges, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, persuading them to use our service, working with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

No prior experience in IPS is required. The role we are recruiting for is as follows: 

Full time: 35 hours per week - these roles will be based onsite in the community 4 days per week and work from home 1 day.

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental or physical health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, the DWP and local agencies, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

About you 

As the Investments Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the effective operation of the Investment Committee of the charity, by the monitoring and reporting of the performance of our investment portfolio against agreed strategic targets.

Reporting to the Charities Technical & Strategic Finance Manager, this role would suit an enthusiastic finance professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for collaborating across teams. You will have a drive for understanding and developing impact measurement across our investments held. 

You should also be able to demonstrate that you: 

• are a fully qualified (CCAB or CIMA) accountant 

• have relevant experience working in the charitable sector including working with larger charities with a minimum income of £30m, with investment portfolios of a minimum of £10m 

• have practical knowledge of the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) that you can apply

• have the ability to organise and prioritise a range of diverse data with a focus on problem solving. 

Previous experience of supporting investments held is not a pre-requisite of this role – the ability to apply your analytical skills to this activity is what we require!

ABOUT THE ROLE

Data analysis plays a key part in supporting City Harvest growth and success. We are investing in our technology and data and are now in the process of consolidating several business applications onto the Dynamics 365 platform and standardising Power BI as a reporting tool.

We are recruiting for a Data & Impact Analyst to join the Finance and Data team. This is a new role to our charity which will act as an interface to other departments, to provide meaningful data and insights into the impactful work that we do.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a trained and technically skilled data analyst, experienced with Power BI as a reporting tool and familiar with Dynamics 365 as a CRM platform. This role requires confidence in working across different areas including data management and reporting, systems administration and maintenance. You will be able to effectively demonstrate and present your findings into meaningful data insights, actions and conclusions.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be rolled out in the first few months of 2025, and you will be involved in its roll-out and implementation.

You will have problem-solving skills with a positive, innovative and proactive "can-do" attitude, which will allow you to develop and shape this new role to make it your own.  You will have commitment to the mission, vision and values of City Harvest, as well as a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Database Maintenance and Development

• Database development, administration and maintenance, using Microsoft Dynamics 365.

• Support improving and developing data quality processes, carry out regular audits to identify and correct gaps and issues.

• Provide 1st level assistance and hands-on support to users and departments on how to access and use the system e.g. creating guidance documents/videos.

Database Analytics, Reporting and Impact

• Develop comprehensive impact reporting and KPI frameworks using Power BI and Excel, tracking the effectiveness of our charitable activity.

Supporting launch and roll-out of Microsoft Dynamics, while using existing legacy systems

• Support the build, launch, and roll-out of Microsoft Dynamics across the organisation during the first half of 2025.

• Use the existing legacy database systems to perform financial analysis and produce reports to support other departments with their data needs.

  •    Working with the IT support provider to help with IT infrastructure and systems.

  •       Ensure all activities are compliant with legal and regulatory standards including GDPR and data protection        procedures.

DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development work of Dogs for Good, and is an interesting and varied role, working closely with the Research & Development Manager and members of the training department teams, as well as external collaborators.  The Development Officer supports the inclusion of research and evaluation into the development of all projects as well as current services to enable an evidence-based approach to service delivery and development.  Here the role involves assisting with the evaluation of current services, gathering and analysing data to assess effectiveness, and contributing to the creation of new initiatives.  The Development Officer may also research potential new development opportunities and services, which may involve collaboration with other organisations.

In addition to the research component, the Development Officer can be involved in practical trialling and testing of new ideas, which can mean working hands-on with dogs, volunteers, and clients who have a range of needs.  These projects may be based around any of the services currently offered by Dogs for Good.  The role may also assist in training and supporting staff to deliver new projects, as well as supporting them in applying research findings and evidence-based practice.

The role can be home based, ideally within an hour’s travel to our Banbury centre, and available to attend on average once a week.  The role will also involve regular travel to other project locations.

Accompanying dogs in the charity’s vehicles is part of the job, so a full driving licence is preferred but, where applicable, we will work with the chosen candidate to find alternative solutions where reasonable adjustments are required.

Job Summary 

The primary role of the Area Dean’s PA is to provide high quality and professional administrative support to the Area Dean of Hackney in their work. The job requires someone who is a self-starter, who is able to prioritise a busy workload, meet deadlines and work as part of a dynamic team.  

Job responsibilities 

PA duties  

• To support Area Deans with the administrative aspects of the Hackney and Islington Projects: Hackney Area Dean oversees the catholic mission stream of work

• To support the Area Dean with administration related to their parish and deanery responsibilities in partnership with local colleagues, ensuring that all documents and briefing materials are prepared and collated.

• Dealing sensitively and confidentially with mail, email and telephone calls. To respond as far as possible on the Area Dean’s behalf, and, where appropriate, draft emails and letters.

General Duties  

• To develop and maintain efficient filing systems, both in hard copy and electronically.

• To be responsible for the ordering of office supplies and equipment.

Support to Mission Project  

• Assist the Area Dean with organising meetings with colleagues, planning mission and training events

• Liaise with the Archdeacon and Dean of Mission and Associate Area Dean

• Communications with the Stepney Area Team.

• Provide administrative support to the Parish and Deanery (rotas, minutes, agendas etc) in a way that releases capacity of the ministry of the Area Dean

• Processing of Area Dean’s expenses.

Finance 

• Support the parish finance processes where required.
