We know the enormous difference play and play professionals can have on children in
hospitals, hospices and other healthcare settings. We want the public, health services and

In order to support our strategy by raising awareness of why we exist and what we do, we are
seeking a dynamic and experienced communications professional to join the Marketing and
Communications team. With a strong background in media relations and PR, you will have
responsibility of overseeing and delivering the press office function, develop and deliver
media and communications plans, shape our storytelling and key messages and provide
expert consultancy to all colleagues up to and including the Chief Executive.
Working closely with colleagues from across the organisation, children and their families, our
youth panel and health professionals, you will proactively seek out stories to create
compelling content for the media, our fundraising and awareness raising campaigns, and
marketing collateral. You are an exceptional copywriter and will have an understanding of
different audience requirements and can advise colleagues accordingly.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, you’ll support with strategic
communications planning, and in the ideation, development and management of content to
maximise impact of campaigns, fundraising appeals, events and policy activity across owned,
earned and paid channels.

About the role
This is an inspiring role for someone who wants to contribute to our success by providing strategic leadership and direction to the fundraising and communications functions supporting the Dementia Adventure business plan and charitable mission and objectives.
Managing a team of five across fundraising, communications, special projects and data management, the successful applicant will lead the development of partnerships and campaigns to raise funds for Dementia Adventure’s unique work to support people with dementia and their carers to have a more active and fulfilled life by getting outdoors and experiencing the benefits of nature.

About you
We are looking for someone to join the charity’s Senior Leadership Team who will bring experience from their past successes and provide inspirational strategic leadership and direction to the fundraising and communications functions in support of the Dementia Adventure business plan, charitable mission and objectives. The successful applicant will have a strong, successful track record of fundraising and/or other forms of income generation in the charity sector, including management, with proven experience in meeting financial and non-financial targets. You should be able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including trusts and grant givers, corporates, major donors and other individuals. Job summary
The Trust, Statutory and Lottery Fundraising Team is part of the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Department and is central to Whizz Kidz contributing to its ambitious goal of ensuring that every young wheelchair user in the UK is mobile, enabled and included. The five-strong team is responsible for delivering over £3m a year for the organisation’s services.
As Trust Fundraising Officer you will be growing income through managing smaller funders and building close relationships with them, issuing small Trust mailings, researching new funding opportunities and developing case for support liaising with colleagues in service teams.
You will also ensure that donor records are maintained accurately on the fundraising CRM, process bank and cash donations and thank donors promptly and appropriately. The role will involve supporting the maintenance of the team’s administrative systems and the team’s move to a new CRM – Microsoft Dynamics.
The small Trust donor pool is a well-established income stream for Whizz Kidz with content for proposals readily available and warm funders interested in supporting our work. The role receives advice and guidance from the Trust Fundraising Manager on the day- to- day work and the opportunity to develop experience with a range of funders. You will use your skills of relationship management to make a real difference to the lives of young wheelchair users. Finally, you will join an ambitious, young-person focused and collaborative fundraising team, keen to share success and support one another.
The person
The ideal candidate will have experience and understanding of Trust fundraising including preparing successful fundraising proposals and reports, effectively managing funder relationships and strong funding research skills. They will also have experience of managing fundraising administration, income processing and data management with skills using a fundraising CRM. They will have excellent writing skills in relation to proposal and report writing, be a confident communicator with an ability to engage funders with the work of Whizz Kidz, manage their time effectively and prioritise their own workload.

About the role
We are looking to recruit a Digital Marketing Executive for our Digital Acquisition team to lead on our E-commerce SEO programme as well as support E-commerce web development and Conversion Rate Optimisation programmes.
As Digital Marketing Executive you will manage organisation briefs to develop new pages and products as well as oversee and develop reports and dashboards to communicate on the performance of the SEO programme to stakeholders. Your remit will include helping with new product releases and the development of releases for our support and lottery sites. You will develop and implement paid digital acquisition strategies too. You will also collaborate with external agencies/suppliers and colleagues on specific digital marketing projects to deliver amazing work. Important will be the ability to track, analyse and report on results, while making changes to test and optimise the effectiveness of our digital channels.
We’re looking for someone with:
· Some experience in Digital Marketing.
· Experience of working with digital agencies & strategy agencies to deliver against objectives.
· An understanding of SEO marketing.
· Computer literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
· Proven organisational and project management skills.
· Experience in web development/ CMS would be an advantage.

You will work closely with our Learning Programme Officer and liaise with our partners and associates to organise online workshops and events. You will act as the first point of contact for our participants, ensuring that their details are accurately recorded in our events database and manage all communication with them so they receive accurate event information. Hosting online events and managing the evaluation and post event communications. Experience in using video conferencing platforms is essential.
Key accountabilities:
- Supporting the administration and setting up of online meetings, webinars, seminars and conferences (for up to 1000 participants).
- Supporting the successful delivery of meetings and events through effective administration and hosting using online platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams and Zoom).
- Communicating with facilitators, participants and senior staff, in a positive and professional manner.
- Updating customer and events databases; providing reports and information using these.
- Producing, collating and reporting online feedback.
- Working as part of a wider team, supporting colleagues to deliver events administration and hosting.
- Providing administrative support to the wider team, including formatting of PowerPoint presentations and proofreading documents.
- Supporting the production, update, distribution and quality assurance of workshop materials.

The Nature Centre is a 7-day-a-week seasonal facility (April to October) with a visitor experience focussed on Abernethy reserve, in particular the Caledonian pine forest and the species which live there, as well as the work of the Cairngorms Connect partnership.
During the Nature Centre season, with the Visitor Experience Manager and the seasonal team, you will help maintain and deliver the first-class visitor attraction; guaranteeing a high quality, on brand, visitor experience for all and maintaining exceptional customer care standards
You will also plan and deliver small events and maximise support for nature through encouraging membership of the RSPB, for which you will receive full training. You will deputise for the Visitor Experience Manager and help lead the seasonal team of staff and volunteers.
We have recently developed a Changing Places facility for those with disabilities and upgraded two woodland trails to make them more accessible. This represents an exciting new era for the Loch Garten Nature Centre, and we are keen to share these upgraded facilities with a wider audience, helping more people to connect with the nature surrounding them, and growing support for nature conservation.
You will occasionally be asked to patrol the local trails in the evening with a colleague, to engage with visitors who may be wild camping, ensuring the forest and local communities are protected from visitor impacts, including wildfire.
Outwith the season you will plan, develop and deliver audience-building events and assist the Visitor Experience Manager in planning for the following season.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day running of the Centre, upholding exceptional customer care standards for all
