Purpose of the Job
Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind run an innovative crisis prevention service designed as a place for children and young people at risk of mental health crises to de-escalate and have access to a skilled staff team to support them. The Circle is open out of hours (3pm-11pm or 12pm-8pm weekends and holidays), 365 days a year, and has been designed to reduce the need for young people to attend A&E. Co-designed by young people, it is a friendly and accessible space.The mental health adviser role is key to the support that children and young people will receive on site, and you will have the opportunity to work with 5-18 year olds, as well as providing signposting and support to parents/carers and other agencies.
This Mental Health Adviser role would suit an experienced Mental Health Youth Worker, CAMHS support worker, Youth Counsellor, Child Wellbeing Practitioner, Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner, an Assistant Psychologist with some training in MH interventions like CBT, or other roles that have given you experience and skills in working with Children and Young People presenting with difficulties related to their Mental Health.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team dedicated to providing support to children and young people who are at risk of mental health crisis, or may otherwise attend A&E.
- Offer one to one support via drop in or appointments, and be child-centred in that support.
- Work alongside children and young people, their parents/carers and families in increasing self-management of presenting difficulties.
- Signpost anyone accessing the service to appropriate and local on-going support; and build up your knowledge and networks of such support.
- Understand and implement safeguarding procedures, and be familiar with safeguarding law, and how it applies to our work.
- Follow risk procedures, be familiar with completing risk assessments, and refer to on-call or senior managers appropriately.
You will have:
- A minimum of two years’ experience of supporting children and/young people in a mental health service or similar role in a paid or volunteer capacity, in a 1:1 and group setting
- An ability to form supportive relationships with families, and tailor support to individual need.
- A child-centred approach to work.
- Working knowledge of child and adult safeguarding.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity issues and the ability to integrate into your work.

Our Little Stars project for 0–12-year-olds has been established for over 5 years supporting younger members and their families with their diagnosis and beyond. We also have a growing Teen membership known as FIRE (Friendship, Independence, Resilience, Equality) Working alongside our multi skilled, established team, you will be supporting members across all age groups and building on the great foundations already in place.
We are looking for an Early Intervention Project Worker who can cover the South of England, primarily you will be home based, supporting members through phone calls and using online platforms. The National House Project (NHP) takes a ground-breaking approach through its commitment to young people’s ownership to enable young people leaving care to live connected and fulfilling lives. The approach was co-designed with young people from the start. It is based on a groupwork approach and supports young people to move into properties that become their homes whilst also building a strong and supportive friendship network.
NHP supports Local Authorities to establish Local House Projects (LHPs) and puts young people at the centre of the decision-making processes, supports staff to work with them in an inclusive way and encourages staff to work with young people to find the solutions to the challenges they face. LHPs achieve improved outcomes for young people, challenge the way that professionals work with young people and enable young people to leave care in a planned and supported way.
To ensure that young people are involved at every level of the organisation each LHP elects 2 young people to represent them at the Care Leavers National Movement (CLNM). This forum provides the platform to hear, amplify and act on the voice of young people, who not only support the development of their own LHP but also contribute to developing practice and policy at a national level. CLNM meet regularly, undertake Peer Evaluations, host and deliver their own National Conference and provide an ‘expert user’ consultancy. Members from this group also sit on the Board of Trustees as expert advisors.
We are looking for someone who is motivated and experienced in working with young people in care to join this national charity. You will work with the Care Leavers National Movement as well as the core NHP team to ensure that young people continue to drive our work at both a local and national level.

Working on site you will be responsible for ensuring the service is safe by keeping clear records of night time activity within the building. You will work to prevent any anti-social behaviour from impacting our neighbours and other residents. Our independent visitor service provides looked after children and young people with an adult volunteer who spends time with them, offering support and friendship whilst being a positive role model to enable young people to build on their confidence and self-esteem, whilst helping learn new skills and raise their aspirations.
About the role
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic IV Coordinator who will be responsible for the day to day running of the independent visitor service in Solihull and Bedford, splitting your time between these two services working 27 hours for Solihull and 8 hours for Bedford.
You will be responsible for managing and developing a pool of volunteers which includes the recruitment, training, and induction of new volunteers to become volunteer independent visitors, before matching them with a young person who has been referred to the service.

How does the Graduate Scheme work?
Our Graduate Scheme is a two-year career-development programme and we ask candidates to commit to staying with the charity for at least this duration. After completing your first year of the scheme there will be the opportunity to take on a new challenge and apply for a promotion to Senior Education Worker. Once you’ve completed the two year scheme, you’re guaranteed a position with us - our Graduate Scheme roles are permanent jobs. As we’re an expanding organisation, new job roles and further promotions are regularly available for those who stay beyond their initial two years.

Mon and Thurs: 09:30-18:00 Tues, Weds, Fri: 09:00-17:30 (Some out-of-hours work will be required from time to time - for example, early starts to deliver workshops in schools.) Education Workers are based at one of our IntoUniversity learning centres and work directly with young people, schools and families on a daily basis. It is therefore not a hybrid role and is based full-time in our centres.

Job Purpose
To support SEND (young people with disabilities) on the Shaw Trust supported internships to progress on their work placements and make successful transitions into paid work. To provide training and support for business partners and families, to ensure success during the workplace placements and to seek out job opportunities both within and outside of the host employer.

Job Description
- Provides individualised support for interns at the host business worksite placement or competitive job which includes: job coaching, identifying job placements, assistive technology, etc.
- Attends host business induction to ensure student understanding and learning
- Works with managers and co-workers to educate on disability awareness
- Communicates with parents on a regular basis
- Visits students and give feedback to all team members
- Meets daily with tutor to discuss student progress
- Meets regularly with business liaison, managers and peer mentors to discuss student strengths and challenges, issues, progress, etc
- Works with tutor to plan events such as induction, information nights/Open days and graduation
- Works with other team members to provide internal and external marketing for business and community such as newsletter articles, website information, tours, community presentations, social media etc.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and well organised Family Engagement Coordinator to work within our Family Team. This
role will be working directly with charity beneficiaries - parents and carers of children with serious and complex health
needs. This is a diverse and interesting role that is central to the development and expansion of our WellChild Family
Tree service.
Purpose of the role:
The Family Engagement Coordinator is vital to the success of the WellChild Family Tree Network. This is a growing network
that exists to connect families across the UK caring for a child with serious and complex medical needs with each other
and with WellChild. Through its online Facebook forum, and programme of activities, events and communications, it
provides members with the opportunity to make friends, make memories and get support.
Working within the Family Team and as part of the wider Programmes team this role will report to the Family Programme
Manager and is central to the development and expansion of the WellChild Family Tree. Key to this role is taking ownership
of and delivering a well-defined WellChild Family Tree membership experience that attracts and engages families from
across the UK and includes the provision of high-quality content and regular communications.

Role Overview
As a Part-Time Youth Violence Reduction Youth Worker, you will support the Youth Violence Reduction Lead in managing and developing programs aimed at reducing youth violence. You will play a crucial role in the late-night safe-space sessions, working closely with at-risk young people to provide them with the support and guidance they need.
We are looking to recruit up to three candidates for this role.
