Join Our Team as an Office and Data Lead (Pathways)
At Bexley Voluntary Services Council (BVSC), we are dedicated to fostering a robust, sustainable, and impactful voluntary and community sector that enhances the lives of Bexley residents. As the Office and Data Lead (Pathways), you will play a pivotal role in our consortium, One Bexley, where eight voluntary sector organisations collaborate to support local individuals with care and support needs. Your expertise in data analytics and your ability to act as a central access point will ensure that residents receive the right support services to maintain their independence and achieve their personal goals.
In this role, you will manage the Pathways Triage, oversee referral processes, and produce analytical data and performance reports. Key Duties:
- Manage Pathways Triage, including calls received and allocation of referrals

- Ensure information and advice regarding voluntary sector services are up-to-date

- Attend staff meetings, supervision, and training as required

This exciting new role will be instrumental in supporting the provision and development of effective, efficient and optimized utilisation of data across the organisation, primarily using PowerBI.Working closely with the fundraising teams you will ensure they are receiving the correct insight to drive income and supporter growth. Alongside the Insight Manager you will initially assist in moving MAF UK’s data model and reports to a Fabric data warehouse. The data warehouse will become the single source of truth and the basis for all of MAF UK’s reporting needs.
In addition you will also have the opportunity to work on integration projects as MAF looks to bring data together in a unified way.
On the job training will be provided and there is potential for the job holder to undertake a data apprenticeship using the government funding scheme.
As the Data Analyst you will be responsible for
Enhancing PowerBI Reporting by:
- Maintaining the suite of self-service KPI reports for MAF UK via PowerBI and improve on this as required
- Owning the Quarterly Dashboard and ensure linked reports are fit for purpose
- Being proactive in delivering hands-on support to the Fundraising teams to help user adoption and understanding
- Gaining contextual knowledge of the Fundraising teams to be able to propose new reporting solutions to help campaign monitoring and drive increased income
- Ensuring the Fundraising teams are empowered to make strategic data-driven decisions and be prepared to respond to queries in a timely manner. This will include the use of third party data enrichment tools
- Building strong interpersonal relationships throughout the organisation to promote the confidence of the data team’s output
- Being proactive in setting up regular meetings with key stakeholders in discussing their reporting and analytical requirements
- Keeping up to date with PBI Product development
- Contribute to the design of data collection, criteria and maintenance aspects of new projects ensuring that data collected is adequate, of good quality, and matches what was sought
- Helping explain complex data processes to staff in a way that can be understood across the organisation and with the purpose of providing clarity
Supporting the Fabric Data Warehouse development by:
- Building knowledge of the MAF UK Fabric environment and assist the development as directed by the Insight Manager
- Being a confident deputy to the Insight Manager to troubleshoot and resolve issues as required
- Gathering requirements around a unified data model across MAF organisations and deliver a solution
Additional Tasks include:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the existing D365 Configuration and system integrations within MAF UK.
- Monitor and maintain D365 usage, such as data cleansing and de-duplication, in collaboration with other team members
- Assist with data imports and be proactive in seeking data processing efficiencies across the organisation
- Working with other team members to ensure the Retention Policy is adhered to and is fit for purpose
- Other tasks as may reasonably be allocated from time to time by the MAF UK Senior Leadership Team
- Provide technical support for communal staff prayer and communications meetings

We are seeking a Senior Database Officer to join our Data Team in the Operations department. This full-time position reports to the Senior Database Manager and will collaborate closely with a Database Officer.
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and compliance of our Donorfy database. You will maintain and enhance our Donorfy database, clean, process, and import data from various sources, provide database support to colleagues across the organisation, and collaborate with the Senior Database Manager on database development projects. Job Purpose: Operation Smile UK seeks a passionate Senior Database Officer to manage the front end of its Donorfy CRM system. Working with the data team, you will promote effective CRM use across the organisation, ensuring efficient, regularly reviewed data management processes. Maintaining data accuracy and integrity is crucial, as is securely importing and exporting data to support various teams and provide insights to increase fundraising potential. Key Responsibilities:
1. Donorfy (CRM) Management
• Responsible for the front end day to day management of our Donorfy CRM.
• Set up and train new starters on the CRM
• Support and training existing staff to ensure effective use of the CRM
• Manage the flow of financial and non-financial data from third-party platforms and agencies, as well as direct income and data streams. This will include cleaning and preparing data, as well as importing it into Donorfy
• Undertake routine data cleansing and quality control processes to ensure the database is accurate, such as de-duplicating.
• Managing the data specifications and briefs for fulfilment agencies, including undertaking monthly quality analysis of data received from agencies
• Set up and manage Donorfy triggers, workflows and mail merges
• Liaise with Donorfy support, external agencies (MAST) and the wider team to further streamline any data-led processes
2. Financial Reconciliation
• Reconcile income processed and investigate any variances, including following up with fulfilment agencies, fundraising teams, platforms etc.
• Run monthly Gift Aid Claims for eligible single gifts and recurring gifts
• Produce various monthly reports, such as donation reports for fundraising teams and deferred income/restricted income reports to finance
• Produce and maintain the Donorfy custom accounts download
3. CRM Integrations
• Manage and maintain the custom API online income integration between Donorfy and Gravity Forms via the OSUK website
• Manage and maintain the Dotdigital email marketing integration
• Manage and maintain the Enthuse and Justgiving integrations
4. Reporting, Insight and Data Selections
• Support the Senior Database Manager to build/test reports and dashboards via SQL or Power BI to report on key performance indicators and targets
• Monitor existing Power BI reports set up each monthly to ensure they are accurate and report any fixes to the Senior Database Manager
• Run data selections for small-scale campaigns as required by the Senior Database Manager
5. Operational Support and General Tasks
• Backfill the Database Officer and Senior Database Manager roles in their absence
• Assisting the Senior Database Manager with SQL projects and automated workflows
• Keep procedure guides up to date for processes routinely undertaken
• Undertake quarterly audits on large gifts and gift aid declarations/claims

What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
As the Health Improvement Coordinator, you're key to supporting these teams. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work and sometimes arranging important stakeholder events and meetings ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capturing the outcomes of our external engagement.
In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator and know how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.
With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. You’re also quick to learn and capable at picking up new systems including those for budget management and products’ fulfilment.

In 2022 the charities Sands and Tommy’s came together to form a Joint Policy Unit. Our shared vision is for a future where fewer babies die, and inequalities in baby loss are eliminated so that everyone can benefit from the best possible outcomes.
Working together we want to secure policy changes that will reduce rates of miscarriage, stillbirth, pre-term birth and neonatal death, and to work to eliminate inequalities in these outcomes. We will do this by
• Holding governments across the UK to account on progress, and ensuring that saving babies lives and reducing inequalities is the national policy priority it deserves to be
• Working to ensure progress is being made to improve the safety of maternity and neonatal services, so that everyone can benefit from best-practice care.
• Promoting policy change so that new research and evidence leads to improvements in care
The Data and Evidence Lead is key to helping the policy unit achieve this. You will analyse a range of public data sets and research findings to track progress on governments’ ambitions to reduce the number of babies dying, assess the impact of key initiatives, and identify any gaps.
We are looking for someone who has considerable experience of data analysis, including the selection and application of research and evaluation methods. You will be a great communicator with the ability to translate insights into clear messages for different audiences (e.g. policymakers, stakeholders, supporters and the public).
Experience of leading and managing projects of different sizes and complexity is essential for this role, as is a clear understanding of the relationship between research, evidence, policy and practice.
Additionally, you will need to have a good understanding of the current policy environment as it relates to reducing baby loss, as well as enthusiasm for continued learning and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

Policy Analyst – Private Sector
Contract: Permanent, Full-time

About the Role:
As a critical thought leader, communicator, and connector, the Policy Analyst - Private Sector will be a critical resource for WaterAid to advance the private sector’s contribution to WASH, working closely with other colleagues across the organisation, and developing informed WaterAid positions and advocacy on the key areas through which WaterAid can work to influence the behaviours and actions of these critical actors in the achievement of water security and WASH services.
In this role, you will support the development of a coherent and evidence-based narrative on the private sector’s contribution to improving water security and WASH outcomes with an emphasis on their role in the delivery of WASH services and impacts on water resources.
You’ll also:
- Understand and document the the best models of WASH service delivery where the private sector has played a key role.
- Support the development of frameworks for integrating WASH into the most salient corporate sustainability mechanisms (both social and environmental), building on existing work completed at WaterAid and facilitating their adoption.
- Lead the work of documenting and developing case studies of positive private sector actions across the federation working closely with colleagues working on private sector projects or approaches.
- Develop a strong project management system for tracking progress and support delivery of all centrally managed WaterAid private sector initiatives, working closely with leads.
- Work with colleagues to conduct analyses of policies that enable the uptake and implementation of the most impactful private sector actions, across service providers to impactors and financiers, for WASH.
- Lead work with Communications and Media teams to disseminate research through media and social media channels and internal communications working with colleagues in program support and knowledge team.
- Coordinate, support and accompany technical and policy leads to represent WaterAid at key meetings, and act as lead when they are not available.
- Coordinate and directly build a strong network of key players – both within the WASH sector and in broader private sector and development communities – to increase influence and position WaterAid as a leading organisation in terms of leveraging core strengths of the private sector for WASH outcomes.
- Travel as necessary to regions and Country Programmes, as well as to relevant international events and conferences.
Requirements
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Very strong project management skills with the ability to work and communicate effectively with and across key internal stakeholders across different geographies, in establishing the necessary evidence, policy positions and research gaps.
- Knowledge and experience working with private sector actors (with an emphasis on service providers) and understanding how they can provide solutions for improved WASH outcomes, including the key enabling factors necessary.
- Knowledge, interest, and experience in working in and developing frameworks related to corporate sustainability (both environmental and social) that impact on WASH outcomes,
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English with proven experience of authoring high-impact policy briefs
Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

About the role
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants their work to contribute to the effective operational running of the organisation. You will provide a vital link across Collaborate and so you’ll need to be a good communicator and collaborator. You will liaise with our project and internal teams to ensure the accuracy and consistency of our information, to support good management and decision-making. Your work will help us to ensure that we are managing our project budgets appropriately, particularly in relation to expenses and sub-contractor (Associate) costs.
We’re looking for a highly numerate and well-organised person, someone who enjoys working with data, with impeccable attention to detail and who is eager to support our finance and operations functions.

Job responsibilities
You will be supported by and work closely with the Business Development & Operations Manager and will liaise with our bookkeeper.
Your day-to-day role includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Finances

Ensuring our financial records are complete and accurate.

Processing and approving the team’s monthly expenses.

Liaising with project teams to ensure project expenses budgets are managed effectively.

Processing and ensuring our Associates’ invoices are approved and paid each month.
