About the Role:As the Head of Communications, you will lead the development of an ambitious communications strategy. The purpose of this role is to build a high-performing communications team to drive significantly increased communications performance across various streams. The Head of will champion Communication across the organisation, ensuring alignment with MAP's mission and values. They will actively contribute as a member of the Senior Management Team, fostering collaboration and strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead the organisation’s communications planning to ensure alignment and maximise impact on influencing and income objectives. Monitor and manage communications-related risk for MAP.
- Collaborate with the Director of Advocacy and Communications, Strategic Communications and Media Manager, and Digital Communications Manager to ensure that the necessary communications processes and systems are established.
- Line manage a high-performing team that is ambitious and passionate about MAP’s vision and mission, and has in place necessary systems, processes, ways of working and motivating direction to drive impact in our communications and delivery against KPIs.
- Ensure MAP’s communications are ethical and aligned with the organisation’s values. Ensure the perspectives and voices of Palestinians and affected communities are at the forefront and their feedback on our communications heard and acted on
- Collaborate and engage with cross-organisational projects, taking the lead as required, and ensure consistent and coherent brand and voice across MAP’s varied communications outputs.
- Provide line management to direct reports, setting individual performance objectives, ensuring delivery, and motivating the team to be innovative, creative, strategic and professional in its thinking and delivery.
- Manage the team’s budget
Communications Strategy
- Develop and lead an ambitious and impactful cross-organisational communications strategy – including earned media, digital and PR.
- Collaborate with the Director of Advocacy and Communications, set and monitor progress against Key Performance Indicators for achieving the strategy, and report quarterly on results to global stakeholders.
- Plan and identify key moments of opportunity for MAP’s communications according to internal and external landscapes and timetables.
- Develop a crisis communications strategy and ensure that MAP has the resources and capacities needed to manage external and internal crises.
- Work with fundraising colleagues to develop a new focus on marketing and brand development and coordinate impactful cross-team campaigns
Review and delivery
- Provide senior review to communications outputs for MAP in line with an agreed sign-off policy, and MAP’s messaging and ethical communications principles.
- Act as a spokesperson for the organisation in the media as appropriate, and ensure that all MAP spokespersons are properly briefed, managed and supported
- ·Identify communication risks and develop strategies to protect MAP's reputation, staff, programs, and the people it serves in the media.
- Oversee key messaging for proactive and reactive communications to support advocacy and fundraising, ensuring coherence across media and digital channels during emergencies.
- Oversee the development of creative cut-through tactics and products across traditional and digital media and PR, from revealing MAP research and analysis to emergency media briefings.
- Oversee the development of communications guidelines and processes to ensure the alignment of communications outputs with MAP’s values and the active participation of Palestinians and affected communities in our communications strategy and output
- Report to MAP’s SMT and Board on press activity, trends and upcoming opportunities.
- Oversee the communications budget and reporting

Job Requirements

The role
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead the delivery of River Holme Connections’ (RHC) strategy and operations. They will be responsible for all the operational activities and financial management. They will work closely with the Chair and Trustees to ensure the smooth and efficient management of RHC, to lead an innovative, respected and financially sustainable organisation. The CEO will also be the principal external ‘face’ of RHC and is expected to play a leading role in strengthening relationships with partners, supporters and other organisations.

Responsibilities
Leadership of MAP’s UK and international advocacy and campaigning
• Lead MAP’s advocacy and campaigns, ensuring professional and impactful political influencing with key targets including Government, Civil Service, Parliament, and international institutions.
• Collaborate with the Deputy Director and colleagues in Palestine and Lebanon to align MAP’s advocacy with programs, partners, and civil society networks, fostering participatory models to amplify community voices.

• Collaborate with the Director and Deputy Director to develop and deliver a robust UK advocacy and political influencing strategy, aiming to secure impactful foreign and aid policy actions from the UK government and stakeholders to uphold Palestinians' rights to health, dignity, and justice.
• Develop and oversee a targeted international advocacy strategy, identifying opportunities and tactics to influence policies and actions of the US, European countries, and UN forums, supporting MAP’s advocacy priorities.
• Oversee the development of creative and impactful campaigns to engage the UK and international public, civil society partners and influencers with MAP’s advocacy priorities – and work with the fundraising team to integrate advocacy and fundraising campaigns.
• Develop power mapping of key policymakers, thought influencers and relevant institutions, and develop stakeholder engagement plans in line with strategic objectives.
• Set quantifiable and timely targets to deliver on this strategy and implement through effective project management.

Policy and research leadership

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced social and digital media professional to join the leading international horse charity World Horse Welfare.
The Social and Digital Media Officer plans, creates and publishes the charity’s social media and digital communications, ensuring accurate content and the right brand look, feel and messaging. Working to the Head of Communications and with the wider team, you will organise and proactively seek out stories and other content from across the charity to engage audiences through our digital media channels, including social platforms, the website and email. A key part of this role is testing and refining approaches to increase reach, engagement, website traffic and donations and to rigorously monitor and evaluate results to inform further activity.
We are looking for someone who has experience in the management of social media channels, a passion for social and digital media with a creative approach to engaging online audiences. The role:
We believe Street Child has a huge opportunity to achieve even more growth in the Corporate Partnerships sector by diversifying our coverage and relationships into new industries and growth markets. The New Business Manager role will play a key role in leading our New Business activity outside of our existing portfolio. Reporting to our recently appointed Senior Manager for Partnership and New Business, your role will involve:
1. Core New Business activity: Researching and development of prospect lists for priority industries to implement New Business campaigns capable of securing multi-year high value partnerships. Responsibility for building Street Child’s network of corporate relationships and growing pipeline of corporate partnership opportunities.
2. Partnership and proposition development: Working closely with our colleagues in the Corporate Partnerships and Global Programme Funding teams to develop engaging and impactful partnership plans and project propositions, focusing on priority countries and programmes to support Street Child’s strategy and mission.
3. Corporate engagement with events: Utilising the portfolio of events Street Child has across the year to engage and steward corporate relationships, including Street Child owned events and external events including the World Economic Forum and UN General Assembly.
4. Supporting on cross-organisational fundraising activations: Leading on new corporate engagement activities, including new fundraising and sponsorship activations, to support cross-organisational initiatives including our Spring Gala, annual Back to School Campaign and other key milestones throughout the year.
Key activities in this role:
- Development of New Business engagement plans – identifying, researching, engaging and cultivating new corporate prospects and relationships;
- Implementing ambitious New Business campaigns to target priority industries, including the oversight of prospecting and marketing mapping activity;
- Management of new business pipeline and prospect lists, including use and maintenance of corporate prospects data on CRM;
- Close collaboration with Partnership Development and Account Management teams to promote best practice corporate donor stewardship and partnership delivery;
- Active networking and attending various international events to maximise New Business opportunities;
- Consistent, proactive New Business activity via Street Child networks and cold approaches;
- Searching for suitable open corporate partnership opportunities/calls to apply to and working with colleagues to submit high quality applications;

In this role, you will provide tailored, high-quality housing-related support to clients with complex needs, including those who may be homeless, isolated, or facing challenges such as substance misuse, mental health issues, or isolation. You will manage a caseload of clients, delivering personalised support plans designed to maximise independence and facilitate successful transitions into independent living.

Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support people who have significant mental health issues and those from diverse ethnic backgrounds who may face barriers in accessing physical health checks. The role will provide longer term support in some cases, so people can address some of the barriers which might be in the way for them to consider their physical health positively. The roles will provide a service across Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow. The role will be delivered within Primary Care and therefore you will be expected to build relationships within those settings and with community VCSE organisations to ensure that the service supports people within their own communities.

Key Responsibilities
- Get to know and build relationships with staff within Primary Care to enable a supportive and productive referral route into and out of the service
- Work within communities and Primary Care to find out what services are available for people to access
- Build relationships with staff in Primary Care, VSCE organisations, local communities that don't access services and local community mental health teams
- Build relationships with those who are accessing the service and work in a person-centered way to find out their needs. Particularly working to engage people from diverse ethnic backgrounds
- Build an accessible route into the service for people which will lead to an increase in physical health checks and longer-term support if needed
- Be inclusive and make reasonable adjustments where necessary i.e interpreters, Easy Read literature, disability accessible buildings for meetings etc.
- Conduct basic physical health checks following robust training from health professionals
- Support people in connecting to other services both VCSE and Primary Care
- Alert Primary Care staff and the local authority/mental health teams if there are any concerns that have not already been identified
- Signpost and refer clients to other services during and after the intervention
