We seek a graduate with excellent communication skills for our Recruitment team. You must be able to manage data, multitask, and adapt to dynamic environments. Enhance Frontline’s social worker training selection process with autonomy and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The Recruitment team is responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring for 500 places for Approach Social Work (previously known as the Frontline programme) in local authorities across England.
We think the internship at Frontline is unlike other internships. You’ll be given plenty of opportunity to develop key skills for your future career, while also holding a core role within the team. You will be joining us at our busiest time and so will have day to day coordinator responsibilities throughout the year. Some key responsibilities include:

- Manage the logistics involved in planning and delivering over 40 assessment centre days (e.g. responding to candidate queries, monitoring candidate sign up, scheduling assessors)
- Act as first point of contact for candidates experiencing technical difficulties with IT systems used as part of selection process.

Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups. We have supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.

- creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;
- sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups; and

Our highly committed Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the North East England & Yorkshire Regional Office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers.
You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the North East England or Yorkshire region, which includes North, South, East and West Yorkshire, Teesside, County Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. There will be occasional travel around these areas and you may be required to travel at short notice for face to face meetings.
The post is part time, three days per week, working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.
About the team
The team works remotely and prides itself in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the eight SSAFA branches in these regions, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. Background:
National FASD is dedicated to supporting people with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), their families and communities. It promotes education for professionals and public awareness about the risks of alcohol consumption during pregnancy. National FASD is a source for information on FASD to the general public, press and to medical, social care and educational professionals.
Role purpose:
The organisation is going through a period of growth and needs a proactive, experienced financial/admin coordinator to help us ensure our financial oversight administration runs smoothly and efficiently as we grow the organisation. This person will work closely with our Chief Executive.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working with bookkeeper and accountants overseeing accounts, budgeting, financial reporting and management accounts
- Preparing regular financial updates and other documentation for trustees' meetings
- Exploring ways to develop internal financial systems to sustain long-term growth
- Ensuring organisation meets reporting deadlines with HMRC, Charity Commission, Companies House
- Liaising with vendors
- Helping prepare funding bids, proposals and reports
- Working with volunteers to ensure merch sales are met and stock replenished
- Helping to identify ways to improve our organisational efficiency and efficacy
- Participating in planning and evaluation of programmes and projects
- Helping as needed with logistics and registration for events
Location:
We are willing to consider flexible arrangements, for example a split between working in the office and at home, or remote working with regular meet ups scheduled. We place a priority on engaging people with lived experience with FASD and are open to creative suggestions to make that possible to the extent we can. The national office is based in Ware, Hertfordshire, with on-site parking and within a short walking distance of the train station.
Note:
We hope this position might be extended at the end of the 12-month contract, if funding is available.
Person specification
The ideal candidate will be dynamic and creative, energised by the idea of contributing to a charity with an important mission. Candidates should be at ease with computers and budgeting, and be ready to work with a team of consultants, colleagues and like-minded organisations to ensure National FASD is implementing best practices financially and administratively with sensitivity for our key stakeholders and under the guidance of our trustees.
Qualifications:
- Preferably at least 3 years’ experience working in a related field, either in paid work or through volunteering
- DBS check is required
Knowledge:
- Experience with FASD (or another neurodevelopmental condition) either through professional experience or lived experience is preferred
- Familiarity with the charitable/third sector
Skills, abilities, competencies:
- Ability to work independently and juggle several projects
- Must have experience using a range of computer programmes such as Quickbooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or an ability to easily learn new computer software
Essential Experience:
- Experience tracking charity budgets and accounts, including tracking restricted and unrestricted funding
- Experience with administrative responsibilities
- Experience with how a small charity runs
Preferred experience:
- Experience with vendor and stakeholder relations
- Experience tracking and managing product sales
- Marketing experience a bonus
Personal attributes:
- Creative and dynamic approach to solving challenges and planning
- Willingness to work in an informal, relaxed atmosphere
- Attention to detail and deadlines
- Willingness to take professional development courses
- Absolute commitment to a no-shame/no blame ethos when discussing issues related to alcohol in pregnancy

About the Customer Experience Manager Role:
As Customer Experience Manager, you will be the Centre champion of our ‘Think FRESH!’ customer journey framework (Fun Relevant Effective Simple Helpful) and oversee and improve all aspects of our onsite customer journey. You will drive retention & support income generation through the delivery of fun, innovative events, and the implementation of service standards that exceed customer expectations.
What we are looking for in our Customer Experience Manager:
- Prior experience operating as a manager in a customer experience focussed environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of audiences, both internal and external
- Comfortable managing your own workload, time, and logistics.
- Experience and knowledge of residential hospitality, group travel, food & beverage operations or a related hospitality industry. Excellent customer service skills and awareness of customer expectations to ensure the customer is at the centre of decision-making.
Key responsibilities as our Customer Experience Manager:
- In partnership with the General Manager and the wider Scout Adventures leadership team, lead the way to support the customer experience journey at Gilwell Park, ensuring that every visitor has a memorable experience and is engaged in the rich story of Gilwell.
- Line manage and lead key members of our booking, administration and events team, ensuring they have the tools and support that they need to complete their job effectively.
- Review and implement customer service standards to ensure consistent standards of service delivery are met for improved customer relations.
