The Role

About you
To thrive in this role, you will have relevant experience of supporting adults, families and children/young people. You will be able to take a flexible and creative approach to problem solving. Due to the remote working nature of the role, you will have excellent communication skills to identify and assess the service user’s needs and work alongside them to develop their personal support plan.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong proficiency in Microsoft Teams and a broad computer literacy that includes the ability to work across multiple applications simultaneously. Role outline and purpose
This role is accountable for developing and shaping the data and insight capability across our Helpline Services, Income Maximisation and Journey Improvement strands of the Financial Inclusion programme, working across all 4 nations and using this evidence to help ensure that people in crisis can access timely and high-quality advice.
The role utilises subject matter knowledge to provide specialist data and insight analysis on demand, investment and performance on national and local services and partnerships, providing clear and actionable insights to drive informed decision making to help deliver improved experience and outcomes for people in crisis. The post works closely with the food bank network, partners and key teams across the organisation to implement the financial inclusion strategy, whilst also leading on with data and insight requirements of Operations, Fundraising, Strategy & Impact, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, Participation and Policy & Research colleagues to achieve our vision of a UK without the need for food banks.
Role responsibilities
· Develop and be accountable for the collation and aggregation of evidence for the financial inclusion programme at a national and local level, including reach and impact, implementing and oversight of the ongoing management of reporting processes, and using appropriate data systems.

Winston's Wish is seeking a Part-time Bereavement Counsellor to cover maternity leave for a period of approximately 9 months from February 2025. The role is remote, with occasional travel to team meetings at locations around the UK (no more than 4 per year).
Role Purpose
- To provide psychosocial assessments and therapeutic interventions to children and young people and/or their significant adults (as appropriate) who are experiencing acute and/or complex levels of psychological distress as a result of a bereavement.

About the role
An experienced advocate with a sound understanding of the UK political system and legislative process, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will be responsible for leading on Animal Equality’s life-saving legal advocacy campaigns on behalf of farmed animals.
Working as part of a highly effective team, within a fast-paced environment, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will develop and implement advocacy strategies that influence public policy with a goal to advance Animal Equality UK’s mission: to end the exploitation of farmed animals.
An excellent communicator, with an ability to convey complex information in a digestible way, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will be a professional with a proven track record of policy programme delivery. The role involves engaging with policymakers, building relationships with coalition partners, overseeing public affairs initiatives, and influencing Government policy to create meaningful changes for farmed animals.
General responsibilities:
- Contribute to the organisation’s policy programmes: Garner reliable intel, conduct in-depth research, and carry out robust data analysis to inform Animal Equality UK’s ongoing policy and advocacy efforts for animals. Develop authentic, ambitious, and inspiring short-term and long-term policy goals that have the greatest impact for farmed animals. Maintain and develop the organisation’s policy statements, as required.
