About The Role
The Volunteering Development Officer (VDO) plays a pivotal role in sculpting our volunteering support within the Home-Start network. This role will be instrumental in enabling brilliant volunteering practice in our network of Home-Starts, specifically by working to enhance volunteer engagement and recruitment. The VDO will support excellent communication and collaboration with local experts, sector professionals, and volunteer leaders across various organisations. The VDO's responsibilities include providing hands-on support and insights for volunteer recruitment and volunteering best practice, as well as crafting evidence-based guidelines, policies, and tools that align with our strategic objectives for volunteering.
The VDO will manage volunteer inquiries at Home-Start UK, ensuring a seamless connection with prospective volunteers. As the main operator of our volunteer matching system, the VDO also plays a key role in internal dialogues about training, development, and volunteer support practices.
Occupying a vital position within the Practice Development Team as part of the Network Impact Directorate, the VDO supports a coherent approach to development, quality, and engagement initiatives. The role is crucial in building solid relationships and trust throughout the Home-Start network, ultimately amplifying our impact on a growing number of families.

Premier League Stadium Fund Technical Manager (Midlands and East of England)
£37,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on relevant experience and skills) plus generous benefits
The role will be home-based, but geographically will be required to cover clubs and leagues based in the Midlands and the East of England.
Regular travel to clubs’ stadiums will be required, as well as occasional travel to our office at Wembley Stadium in London.

About the Premier League Stadium Fund
The Premier League Stadium Fund is fully funded by the Premier League and is delivered and administered by the Football Foundation. It provides financial support to clubs throughout the football pyramid. As well as continuing to fund ground-grading requirements, the Premier League Stadium Fund includes a Club Development Fund to help clubs grow and enhance sustainability.
The Premier League Stadium Fund awards capital grants to clubs to support improvement of their stadium facilities for players, supporters and officials. The role
Working as part of a team of Technical Managers, you will support our Stadium Accreditation Programme and will lead on the technical/construction aspects of Premier League Stadium Fund grant projects.
Stadium Accreditation
You will support the Stadium Accreditation Programme by helping establish new ways of working following the initial assessment of approximately 1,000 stadiums across England and Wales. You will have responsibility for a set of leagues and clubs across the Midlands and the East of England and you will work with them to ensure their compliance while also delivering against the objectives outlined within the new Premier League Stadium Fund Facilities Strategy.
Grant Management
You will also be responsible for the scrutiny of the technical and construction aspects of Premier League Stadium Fund grant applications and ensuring the successful completion of new and improved stadium facilities. As part of this process, you will provide professional advice and guidance to applicants to assist with the development of capital projects, within the National League System (NLS) and Women’s Football Pyramid (WFP).
You will work with clubs to ensure that solutions can be found to address the findings of the Stadium Accreditation Programme, and will then carry out a technical assessment of any grant applications made by those clubs. Following the allocation of any funding, you will help to oversee the construction process to ensure that the build is completed to programme.
What are we looking for?
You’ll need a construction-related degree or professional qualification (for example RICS, CIOB, RIBA or equivalent), or the equivalent experience in a construction management or technical role. You’ll have expertise in construction processes, and experience of delivering facilities from inception to completion. Experience in sports facility construction is desirable but not essential.
You must also have great people skills and the ability to inspire and engage people at all levels, from clients and suppliers to volunteers, whilst also being confident in dealing with conflict and challenging situations. You’ll have strong organisational skills and a keen attention to detail with the ability to analyse complex situations and make tough decisions. You’ll be flexible and open to new ways of doing things, including new technologies, so that the Premier League Stadium Fund and the Stadium Accreditation programme continue to improve.

The EGC and the EGSC are delivered together as a 4-day event with some elements online. The event will take place in Vienna, Austria in July 2025 in partnership with the host organisation, the Vienna Scouts. This is the main platform for decision makers in our 42 European Member Organisations to gather for networking and consultation on the direction of travel. The International Commissioners (IC) Forum will take place from 5-8th December in Malta and is the platform for stakeholder engagement prior to the conferences.
Key Responsibilities:

Covering the operational, strategic and delivery of work we are looking for a Project Development Co-ordinator to operate across the South-East, within Kent or with the ability to travel across Kent. Travel within and occasionally outside the regions will be a necessity.
This post provides an exciting and rewarding opportunity to supervise, deliver and lead on our stakeholder and community engagement across a region to support the delivery of NEA’s work programme. The role will help deliver projects that can change lives, particularly during the energy crisis. Delivering on a range or projects, which demonstrate good practice in delivery of affordable warmth for low income and vulnerable householders, you will understand and drive the development of partnerships working with local authorities, housing providers, and various other partners.
You will oversee the delivery of project outputs and outcomes, delivering energy and fuel debt advice directly to householders and be responsible for the preparation of reports to funders including collation of evidence of outcomes achieved; maintaining relationships with a network of stakeholders across a region.
You will also work with the Project Development Manager to identify and develop new programmes of work, including preparation of funding applications, presentation of funding proposals to relevant funding bodies and to ensure effective liaison of NEA’s work programme with other activities within NEA.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
You will have demonstrable experience of developing and/or managing projects in the fields of energy efficiency, community development and regeneration, housing, social policy or consumer issues.
It is important that you have an awareness of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.
You will need good organisational skills, as well as excellent written and communication skills, as you will maintain appropriate records and data, and produce regular written reports on project progress.
You will be an excellent communicator, with experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders - with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives;
Knowledge of energy efficiency, particularly within the domestic sector and community buildings, is desirable.

Your role
This role will be required to manage a team of face-to-face fundraisers who will sign up regular supporters within a defined geographical area (two main hubs are in Newcastle and Scarborough) and raise vital long-term funding for the charity. This will include opportunities to work alongside other specialist teams including our volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards, playing an integral part in reaching both local and team income targets and contributing towards the wider objectives of the RNLI.
As a Face-to-Face Fundraising Manager, you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:
- Recruit, train and performance manage a team of motivated Face to Face Fundraisers
- Manage and develop a portfolio of fundraising locations in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Cleveland and Yorkshire areas
- Measure performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) i.e. targets and budget
- Create and execute detailed delivery plans, mitigating for risks and opportunities
- Maintain and develop internal and external stakeholder relationships
About you
Working at the frontline of our fundraising activities, you’ll have excellent communication skills, people management capabilities, proven track record of working to targets and a passion to manage a team who engage with the beach-going public and event visitors to get their commitment for regular support for the cause.
You’ll be an effective team player with a pragmatic and solution-focused approach to problem solving and a calm approach to a busy workload. You’ll be positive, confident, determined, resilient, with very strong communication skills and naturally outgoing.
You’ll be a self-starter who can lead an energetic and innovative team to success. Able to adhere to codes of conduct, policies and be Fundraising Regulator compliant in all that you do and deliver. You’ll be flexible and prepared to work out of office hours with considerable travel throughout the year, peaking through the summer months. Substantial annual leave during the summer would not be practical for this role.
To be considered as the Face-to-Face Manager (North East), you will need:
- Ideally, proven experience and success in face-to-face fundraising. This will either have been gained working for a charity or a fundraising agency or regional sales experience
- Excellent people management skills and evidence of managing and motivating a team of paid staff or volunteers to achieve goals/targets
- Excellent communication skills and teamworking ethos
- Self-motivation and ability to create and prioritise own workload
- This post requires a valid driving licence

- Being available to delivering training on behalf of Birthrights at least twice a year (most training takes place in the working week and a full day of training would last around seven hours and a half-day around 4 hours) with the expectation that most of our trainers deliver an average of four sessions a year. You will need to be prepared to offer training both face-to-face and online.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality training, consistent with the Birthrights’ training offer, keeping in-line with Birthrights’ values and Tone of Voice at all times.
- Co-delivering training with a fellow Associate Trainer from a legal or healthcare background, working together to help bring case studies and legal frameworks to life.
- Submitting an invoice for any training fees and expenses within a month of the training event.

SSAFA’s Network & Community team, operating across the UK, are proud to announce this role as part of their strategic development plans.
This is a new fundraising opportunity to help provide support for serving personnel, veterans and their families ensuring that no-one battles alone.
Supported by the Head of Network & Community Fundraising, this role is fundamental in developing, supporting and championing new and existing fundraising from health providers and local authorities. Sightsavers’ work in the field of education is driven by the principle of inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. We are looking for a Global Technical Lead – Inclusive Education to provide technical leadership and expertise in inclusive education to guide the development and delivery of specific initiatives and programmes.
As the Global Technical Lead for Inclusive Education, you will support Sightsavers to promote inclusive education for children, youth, and adults with disabilities in education systems in West Africa, East, Central and Southern Africa (ECSA), and South Asia. Working across multiple countries, you will ensure that disability inclusion is at the centre of conceptualisation, design and implementation of Sightsavers’ projects.
Strong communication skills in English and French are essential for this role, as is the availability to travel 12-16 weeks a year, nationally and internationally.
Principal accountabilities will include:
- To provide technical leadership and expertise in inclusive education at the programmatic level
- To strengthen the global programme portfolio in inclusive education through leading strategic and technical inputs in proposal development for funding opportunities.
- To pioneer new strategic initiatives and innovative approaches in inclusive education to improve and enhance the quality of Sightsavers’ work, especially in cross-cutting priority areas like climate action, gender equity and the use of data and evidence.

This is an ideal opportunity to build on your existing expertise in leading and developing programmes in inclusive education in lower income countries. We are looking for a skilled communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships across different departments and work collaboratively as a member of our cross-functional teams. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Postgraduate qualification (minimum Master’s) or equivalent experience in a relevant field, e.g. education, special needs education; disability, international development
- Business to fluent French language skills
- A proven record of leading, developing and implementing programmes in inclusive education in lower income countries.
- Experience of working with national governments and international institutions such as Global Partnership for Education, UN agencies, bilateral agencies as well as non-state actors to contribute to education system transformation.
- Knowledge of current developments, issues and best practice in inclusive education to effectively address the barriers to education for children with disabilities
- Able to travel for up to 12-16 weeks a year (regional and international).
