About this role:

This role is a new position beginning in April 2026, as part of the new Croydon Mental Health Partnership pilot programme (MHP) led by Croydon Voluntary Action. The MHP is part of the Building Brighter Futures (BBF) initiative funded by the Maudsley Charity. Reaching Higher is one of the BBF consortium members.

Main purpose of this role:

The Co-ordinator will provide early, relational, trauma-informed interventions for young people (15–19) presenting with mild–moderate emotional wellbeing, mental health, and social needs.

This role will deliver timely engagement (contact within 72 hours), needs-based assessments, short-term support, and warm handovers into the most appropriate pathway across the BBF consortium, avoiding duplication and repeated storytelling. The role is central to the front-door and allocations model, ensuring young people receive the right support, at the right time, from the right organisation.

This new role is perfect for someone who is looking to grow their skills in partnership working, including building partnerships between statutory services and the voluntary sector, while making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. You will play a hands-on role in both the development and delivery of an exciting new mental health initiative, in line with Reaching Higher’s contextual safeguarding strategy.

Overview

Our youth clubs and casework are transformative for young refugees, allowing young people who have fled danger, had traumatic journeys and who are often here alone, to find community and connection, have a space to be a young person and access support in addressing a whole range of practical challenges they face. We also draw on our evidence from working every day with young refugees and asylum seekers to call for change to the laws and policies which are harming young people. 

About the Role

Our youthwork plays an important role in reducing social isolation and loneliness, improving mental health and wellbeing, and creating a sense of belonging.

This includes a wide range of youth and sporting activities across several weekly youth groups, our young women’s groups, trips during the school holidays and annual residentials. Our youth participation approach means that our activities are directly informed by what young people want.

This is an opportunity for a dynamic and creative youth worker to contribute and strengthen our youth development programmes. You will be responsible for planning and delivering youth activities, ensuring that the sessions run smoothly and safely. You will also be responsible for making sure volunteers are supported, giving advice and guidance where necessary.

The Role

Working closely with the Chief Executive, Leadership Team and Board of Trustees, this role will drive meaningful, sustainable transformation across the organisation. This is a highly visible, impact and fundraising driven role. The holder will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of this purpose-driven charity at a key time in its journey.

This role will have priority access to the Leadership Team and staff, as required. It will benefit from the Trustee Board's experience and hands-on support via the Chief Executive, will attend planning and SLT meetings, and participate in staff and Trustee meetings whenever needed.

As Transformation Lead, this person will ensure that the charity's strategic vision translates into a clear action plan with measurable impact. The role will align people, processes, systems and culture to strengthen fundraising  performance, enabling the charity to deliver vital continued financial support to the maritime welfare sector.

Proven experience of success in a sales or fundraising driven background is vital, as is the ability to implement organisational change initiatives, bringing clarity to complexity and pace to delivery. Working closely with senior leaders and Trustees, the holder will provide data-driven insight, robust challenges and practical solutions. This role's influence will extend across all functions, embedding a culture of accountability, innovation and growth.

The Person

The successful candidate will be a strategic, values-driven leader with the credibility and confidence to operate at the senior level. This person will lead by example and will be experienced in mobilising others around cultural change and navigating complex transformation processes. This person will have led on a successful programme of organisational and cultural transformation, ideally in a sales, grant-making or charity fundraising setting.

About the role:

This Best Companies Top 50 mid-sized company and Top 10 Charity is looking to appoint an Operations Manager who will be responsible for the efficient operations and security of Rainbow Trust’s offices, operations contracts, vehicle fleet management and core IT infrastructure.

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations, you will organise and manage the activities and contracts that facilitate the smooth running of the organisation, including the management of our facilities contracts and leases for our head office in Surrey and our nine regional offices, and managing our IT systems contracts to ensure the reliability and security of our IT infrastructure.

Managing the central administration budget, as well as our leased fleet of 80 vehicles with the support of the Fleet Administrator, you will develop efficient office procedures, project manage relocations and lead on the negotiation and management of all relevant third-party contracts.

About the Role:

As a Deputy Head of Service for Performance & Quality you will:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, The Accounts Payable Executive will be Responsible for the end-to-end processing of the account payable function and supplier management. As well as supporting the processing of staff expenses and credit cards to meet payroll deadlines and assist with payroll changes on an ad-hoc basis. Maintaining e-mail inboxes efficiently and friendly communication with staff and suppliers is key to this role.

We are a ‘small but mighty’ charity with one big ambition: to stop leukaemia devastating lives. Over the next 10 years we want to help save and improve the lives of more people with leukaemia through finding and funding life-changing research and campaigning for change.

Despite progress in recent decades, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer every 16 minutes and survival rates are among some of the worst of any cancer.  And the physical and psychological impact can be lifelong. 

Our current 5-year strategy outlines our plan to increase our investment into ground-breaking world class research and policy development focused on improving access to kinder, more effective diagnosis, treatment and care for leukaemia and other blood cancers. To do this, we have embarked on a period of significant growth, investing strategically to grow our income, profile, influence, and engagement and impact.

We are seeking an experienced, driven and passionate Head of Philanthropy to lead on delivering income from our High Value (HV) audiences and income streams. We are looking for someone with energy and ambition, who can demonstrate strategic leadership to maximise fundraising opportunities across Major Giving, Trusts and Foundations, Special Events and Corporate Partnerships. The post holder will be a key part of the Fundraising Leadership Team, helping to grow our supporter networks, optimise supporter experience and contributing to the development of the overall fundraising growth strategy, at this crucial stage as we complete the current cycle and move into our new 5-year strategy period in 2027.

You will be part of an ambitious fundraising team driving growth across the portfolio, so we can fund more leukaemia research and save more lives from this devastating disease. You will report to the Director of Fundraising, working alongside the Head of Public Fundraising, and collaborating across the wider organisation to ensure fundraising aligns with our organisational priorities and values (Bold, Collaborative, Curious) and feels insight-driven, strategic and competitive in a crowded marketplace.

Leukaemia UK and You 

In 2025 we invested in growing our fundraising team so that we could fund more life-changing research, to increase our understanding of leukemia as a disease, and accelerate the development of kinder, more effective treatments. This included investment to grow the Philanthropy fundraising team, develop new fundraising products, increase our supporter networks, and build a stronger pipeline. As a result, we have seen significant year-on-year growth for a charity of our size and are keen to maintain this trajectory with the opportunities in front of us.

We are in the final year of our current 5-year organisational strategy cycle and in the process of developing our new 5-year fundraising strategy, so you will be instrumental in bridging the gap, delivering against agreed income targets for 2026 and driving forward new plans into 2027. 

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, the post holder will at times be required to work both strategically and operationally, autonomously and collaboratively, as a critical member of the Fundraising Leadership Team.  You will be results-driven with an appetite to innovate and drive continuous improvement, leading to increased conversions, deepened relationships, and long-term high value support to upscale our research programme.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience of being a Head of Philanthropy, demonstrating strategic leadership with a remit that includes oversight of a broad High Value fundraising portfolio, across multiple income streams.
• Experience of applying the principles of Philanthropy fundraising to develop and nurture a growing pipeline of 5- and 6-figure gift opportunities for supporters able to give at the highest levels.
• Experience of managing engaging Major Giving and Trusts & Foundations fundraising programmes to generate a warm pipeline of 5- and 6-figure gifts.
• Experience of overseeing a Special Events programme, comprising both fundraising and cultivation events.
• Experience of overseeing a Corporate partnerships portfolio and representing the charity at a senior level.
• Demonstrable experience of managing a high-performing team, focussing on creating a culture where people thrive as individuals.
• Strong experience of building effective relationships with internal and external partners, senior stakeholders and suppliers, leading on the key relationships for the charity. 
• Strong written and oral communication skills with a real talent for connecting and influencing people at all levels.
• Strong project-management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, creative development, and supplier relationships for fundraising events and campaigns.
• Proven experience of driving effective High Value stewardship programmes to maximise supporter experience.
• Great listening skills and the ability to interpret the needs of individuals, teams, and organisations.
• Ability to think through complex issues and produce evidenced-based judgements.
• Experience of setting and managing annual budgets, monitoring, and reconciling results and financial performance in income and expenditure. Providing associated narratives and monthly reforecasts.
• Working to a wide range of financial and non-financial KPIs set in annual activity plans. 
• Ability to work well cross-organisationally, recognising different teams’ priorities and workloads.
• Entrepreneurial and results-led, with the ability to lead programmes of fundraising activity, with strategic, well thought through resourcing to deliver growth.

Knowledge

• Excellent specialist knowledge of the principals and methods underpinning successful Philanthropy fundraising and stakeholder management across Major Giving, Trusts and Corporate partnerships.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current fundraising trends.
• High level knowledge of Salesforce CRM and how best to steward supporters.
• High level knowledge and understanding of charity law in relation to legacy fundraising, GDPR, PECR, data protection and other relevant fundraising regulation.

Role specifics

• Hours: 0.8 FTE are 30 hours per week – days and times to be agreed
• 12 months fixed term contract – maternity cover
• Location: We are very flexible! Whilst our hybrid working policy is a minimum of two days per month in our London office, for this role we would typically expect the role holder to be in the office once a week.   
• Salary range £55,000 - £65,000 (FTE)

We are looking for an experienced educator to join our small yet committed and supportive peace education team to focus on developing the quality and quantity of Peer Mediation across Britain.  

In this role, you will:

• deliver high quality Peer Mediation Train the Trainer courses for adults
• support the development of Peer Mediation practice in secondary and specialist school settings
• develop opportunities for children and young people to gain accreditation for their work as Peer Mediators
• support the development and sharing of high-quality Peer Mediation resources
• play an active role in other aspects of the peace education team’s work, creating new content and resources for educators, and networking to promote peace education.

Contract: Fixed-term contract for one year with the possibility of extension, subject to funding.

Hours: Part-time, up to 28 hours per week, worked across four days.

Location: Based at our offices in Leeds (LS2) or London (NW1), or at home if you do not live within reasonable commuting distance of these locations. Office based staff can work at home some of the time by agreement. Significant travel to different parts of Britain will be a key part of the role.

As Legacy and In-Memory Manager you will be responsible for leading your team to drive transformational change, through the delivery of our legacy and in-memory growth strategy. 

You will set objectives and oversee team activity to deliver the entire legacy journey with the aim of achieving significant long-term growth in revenue income to support our ambitious plans to bring Maggie’s cancer care to everyone who needs us. 

You will be responsible for working collaboratively with teams from across Maggie’s to engage them in the importance of legacy and in-memory giving. 

You will manage external agencies and suppliers to deliver excellent work, on time and to budget.  You will also manage end-to-end, multi-channel campaigns including the delivery of these through colleagues and agencies.

About the Role

We're recruiting a Positive Engagement Worker to join the team in Croydon in a 27 bed residential property which specialises in forensic mental health, complex needs and dual diagnosis. The team offers psychologically informed housing and resettlement support that comes with additional help for individuals’ specific needs. Our forensic mental health step down services consist of four individual sites which cater for high and medium support for both, men and women. 

In this role, you will be at the centre of researching, sourcing, and providing various opportunities for our residents. This can include partnering with external employers for employment opportunities, liaising with colleges for courses and upskilling opportunities, or community based projects which residents can get involved in. The role is dynamic and you can put your own ideas forward to bring new ideas to the team to help support our residents have access to wider resources. You will work closely with the rest of the care and support teams to enhance the opportunities available to our residents. 

Some Key Responsibilities Include:

• Plan and deliver various activities which includes within the service and outside in the local community to help gain a sense of community and belonging. This can include days out to museums, community events and other areas of interest by our residents
• Plan in service events to bring residents together which could include group cooking sessions, games days, sporting events, and religious festivals.

• Carrying out housing management support including welfare benefits support

We’re looking for an experienced and creative Head of Individual Giving to lead and grow our individual giving programme.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you’ll shape and deliver our individual giving strategy, overseeing the recruitment, retention and development of individual supporters. You’ll lead on our major appeals, including an annual national campaign to Catholic parishes across the UK.
