Leading a high performing team of People Business Partners, key responsibilities will include:

- Strategic partnership and leadership support: Act as a senior adviser to the Executive Director, Directors and senior leadership teams, whilst ensuring business partnering is consistent, commercially aware and outcome focused
- Workforce planning and organisational design: Own the methodology and standards for workforce planning and organisational design across RBL, overseeing organisational design activity, ensuring structures are effective, affordable and aligned to strategic goals
- Change and transformation: Partner with leaders to design and deliver people elements of organisational change, collaborating with the Director of People Experience to ensure change is people-led and inclusive
- Culture, inclusion and wellbeing: Work closely with the EDI Manager to embed inclusive practice across leadership, development and decision making
- Performance and capability: Oversee consistent application of performance management frameworks, coaching leaders in managing performance, talent and engagement
- Leadership and team management: Lead, coach and develop the People Business Partnering team, ensuring they work as a cohesive, trusted and influential function
- Cross-directorate collaboration: Work in partnership with Heads of People Operations, Talent, and EDI to ensure seamless delivery across all people services

We are looking for a CIPD qualified People leader. You will bring proven experience leading a senior HR/People or business partnering function in a similar complex, multi site organisation, with a strong understanding of employment law, HR practice and people metrics.

Our Personal Safety Project (PSP) is a free service which aims to help older people who have fallen or are at risk of falling at home. The service is available to anyone aged 50 and over who lives in the borough of Croydon.

Our trained assessors carry out a comprehensive risk assessment to identify potential causes of falls and hazards in the home and can arrange for stair rails, grab handles and other necessary aids and adaptations to be supplied and/or fitted, free of charge. The project can provide ongoing telephone support for up to six weeks to monitor the risk of further falls post engagement.

Role Summary

The (Senior) Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of communications to help us win our campaigns. We are looking for a proactive and hands-on team player, who will build relationships with journalists, securing media hits in top mainstream media, ensuring that communications are a strong part of our strategies to win campaigns.  While the position involves broader communications tasks, its core focus is strategic media work — driving impactful coverage, shaping narratives, and ensuring our investigative campaigns gain global visibility. 

Key Responsibilities (Media-Focused)

• Lead proactive and reactive media outreach for multiple high-profile campaigns.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with international, national, and trade journalists, build and maintain our in-house media list.

We are a small team, so this is a hands-on role with the focus on press work, but it also requires managing our key communications channels and our website. The Communications Manager will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the team, as well as manage a social media free-lancer and other communications creatives, such as video-editors.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an experienced communications professional with at least 7 years’ experience in journalism or in leading successful communications for a non-profit organisation, PR agency, or similar. Ideally, you are a creative, hands-on individual with great inter-personal skills, able to form collaborative working relationships with a variety of different stakeholders, ranging from journalists to creative agencies and our NGO partners.

What we are looking for – Skills & Experience

The successful candidate must have:

• Demonstrable experience personally leading media outreach for major investigations or campaigns, with a proven record of securing top-tier international and national coverage (e.g. Financial Times, Guardian, Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, major broadcasters).
• A strong, active network of journalist contacts, and the confidence and instinct to pick up the phone, pitch stories, brief reporters, and manage embargoed launches under tight deadlines.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English, with the ability to craft sharp press materials; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
• Experience coordinating and executing major report launches, working closely with campaigners and partners to shape narratives that cut through, develop media strategies, prepare messaging, and proactively pitch stories to journalists.
• An exceptional eye for detail and an ability to distil complex research into clear, compelling, and accessible media and social-media content.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines, manage fast-moving campaigns, and perform under pressure.
• A creative, strategic mindset, able to think outside the box, introduce innovative communications tactics, and adapt messaging to a rapidly changing external environment.
• Digital fluency, with experience leading online engagement or mobilisation campaigns and an understanding of how digital channels support broader media and campaign goals.
• Willingness and ability to generate regular content to win campaigns, including social media posts, op-eds, blogs, newsletters, and other campaign materials; familiarity with tools such as WordPress, Mailchimp, and Canva.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a collaborative working style, a growth mindset, and a positive, solution-focused, and proactive approach to communications and relationship-building, both internally and externally.

Interim Head of Finance | 6 Month + | £300 - £325 per day (outside IR35) | Hybrid | London

For a small London-based charity, we are recruiting an Interim Head of Finance for 6 + months, starting ASAP. Reporting to C-suite, the main accountabilities will focus on providing insightful monthly management accounts and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees / Board, and to ensure the correct allocation of expenditure to a high number of grant funds. This role will oversee the Finance Assistant and the day-to-day finance transactions, including expenses, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Main Duties:

• Produce regular management accounts and financial reporting
• Support the Leadership Team, Finance Committee and Board with long-term financial planning
• Lead and review budgeting, re-forecasting and cash-flow management
• Review and re-negotiate all contracts, including office premises, IT, grants, and services
• Oversee the Finance Assistants day-to-day work including transactions and payroll processing

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your responsibilities will include:

Joining our Communications and Engagement Team, you’ll be part of a passionate team that raises around £1 million annually from individual donations and membership contributions – income that drives Liberty’s public campaigning, legal work and investigative journalism.

This is an exciting moment to join us as we embed a new individual giving strategy and explore new and existing channels to strengthen our fundraising. You’ll support the recruitment of new supporters (particularly through digital channels), develop data‑driven supporter journeys, and ensure our members and donors feel informed, valued and connected to Liberty’s impact. You will also lead on producing supporter materials, work closely with colleagues across the organisation, and act as the main point of contact for our supporters.

If you’re a collaborative fundraiser with excellent communication skills, confident using fundraising databases and systems, and passionate about human rights, we would love you to help shape the next chapter of Liberty’s individual giving programme.

The Royal College of General Practitioners is the largest membership organisation solely for GPs in the United Kingdom. The role will be responsible for multiple directorates across both charitable and commercial activities, providing financial and business analysis to assist the college to move to a continuous improvement mind-set. Other responsibilities include the delivery of management reports, budgets, financial reconciliations, accounting month end activities, and providing work that supports the achievement of the College’s strategic objectives, together with any other ad hoc work required by the AD of Finance or Head of Finance Business Partnering.

The candidate will require experience of working in a complex organisation and financial experience providing business analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partner with the budget managers in delivering forecasts and annual budgets, jointly ensuring that they are complete, deliverable, and remain within the overall financial framework targets.
• Perform financial reconciliations of income areas together with performing month-end activities for areas of business responsibility.
• Review and improve business processes across the organisation

• Define and manage key stakeholder relationships to deliver improved financial performance, including technical financial support 
• Candidates must be CCAB qualified.
