What will you be doing?

We are looking to recruit a committed individual to support the delivery and development of our criminal  justice practice work, with a focus on women’s justice. This is an exciting opportunity where the successful applicant will be actively contributing to the design and delivery of our expanding women in justice area of focus within the Centre.

The role will primarily support our work to expand and enhance community justice for women. This means working in partnership with statutory partners such as police, probation, the judiciary and court staff, as well as 3rd sector organisations including women’s centres to support evidence-led practice.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting our women’s problem-solving court network. This will involve (i) identifying and convening practitioners and others who are interested in women’s problem-solving approaches; (ii) facilitating and delivering training and practice sharing workshops; and (iii) developing briefings and toolkits that support the spread of good practice.

Problem-solving courts are specialist courts that focus on addressing the underlying issues and problems that drive offending behaviour. They specialise in a specific set of issues or around a specific target group, such as women with multiple unmet needs. They operate with multi-agency teams to provide tailored interventions and supervision, combining this with judicial monitoring, where individuals regularly appear before the same judge to review their progress.

The Practice Officer will also support us to expand our reach in Out Of Court Resolutions (OOCRs) and pre-court diversion, working directly with police and other agencies to develop or improve their gender-responsive diversion schemes.

The role will also include:

• Supporting the delivery of our practice support in areas such as early intervention and diversion, and specialist problem-solving approaches for women;

• Identifying and supporting areas for practice development;

• Developing practical tools to support practitioners;

• Presenting at external events;

• Contributing to the design and facilitation of practice sharing events and workshops;

• Engaging with practitioners, stakeholders and service users to shape delivery and represent the Centre;

• Working with the Centre’s teams to ensure practice work feeds into our research, policy and communication activities.

Skills, Experience and Knowledge

The role requires the following skills, knowledge and experience:

Experience

The Practice Officer will have experience of:

• Frontline work with women in the justice system OR experience of managing projects and working with others to change frontline practice (essential);

• Working with clients / service users, and the practitioners who work with them, in a safe, legal and supportive manner (essential);

• Delivering training / facilitating workshops (essential);

• Influencing and supporting internal and external partners to deliver on shared plans (desirable);

• Involving clients / service users in the design of projects (desirable).

Skills and abilities

The Practice Officer needs to be able to:

• The complex issues impacting women in the justice system such as trauma, substance use, domestic abuse, neglect and mental health issues;

  Prior knowledge and experience of criminal problem-solving courts is not essential, but the Practice Officer will be required to develop a strong technical understanding of the model once in post.

The post holder needs to have:

• Eligibility to work in the UK legally.

Whilst we do not require the post holder to be office based, you must be willing and able to travel regularly within the UK.

The Role

As a Deputy Head of Service for Performance and Quality, you will:

• Proactively analyse data from diverse sources, transforming it into powerful and useful insights for the service

• Produce management information, impact analysis, service modelling and customer-focused performance tools

About You

You will need:

• Experience using either Python or R to bring data together from diverse sources and prepare for analysis using cleaning and preparation techniques

• Extensive practical experience of using innovative platforms for data visualization including R Shiny, Power BI and/or Tableau

• A degree or equivalent professional experience in subjects such as Statistics, Data/ Computer Science, Economics, Public Policy, or the Sciences would be desirable

Role Summary

Coram’s Fields is a unique charity in the heart of Bloomsbury, London. The Operations Officer role is an integral part of the central team with responsibility for procedures, systems that support the effective, efficient, and compliant running of our seven-acre site, services, park events and oversight of income streams. Main Duties and Responsibilities:

General operations, processes and systems 

• You will be responsible for the oversight and continuous improvement of organisational procedures including IT, GDPR, Health and Safety, Fire Evacuation, incident management.
• You will be responsible for briefing staff across the charity in the use of these procedures and working with the Office and HR Manager to arrange training for staff where necessary. 
• You will be responsible for improving existing office systems and identifying opportunities to develop new systems and processes to enable people to work more collaboratively, efficiently, and effectively. 
• You will be responsible for ensuring that organisational procedures are documented and accessible on the internal SharePoint.

Events and project management 

• You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing a diverse and inclusive programme of park events, making the park an interesting and vibrant place to visit, encouraging the community to gather and socialise, and generating income to support the work of the charity.
• You will have responsibility for working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure each event is well-planned, managed safely and compliantly with all regulations and laws, and executed successfully within budget.

• You will be responsible for identifying new (temporary and permanent) opportunities and third party partnerships to bring new experiences, enjoyment and enrichment to local young people while also generating income for the charity. 
• You will work closely with our Café Manager to grow the profile and income generated by our cafe through improved park signage and park visitor experience initiatives, and integration of the café into the hall and sports hire customer journeys.

The Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT) is recruiting to two full time paid internship positions: one focused on Communications (to start as soon as possible) and the other on supporting local churches to build relationships with their MPs (to start in September 2025).

You would be working as part of a small ecumenical team on a diverse range of tasks and initiatives including communications, policy, campaigning and supporter engagement, contributing to the public advocacy and political engagement work of the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches.

About JPIT 

JPIT is a partnership between the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church, and the Church of Scotland is an associate partner. Its purpose is to help the Churches to work together for peace and justice through listening, learning, praying, speaking and acting on public policy issues. It is a team which brings together around ten staff working across the denominations. In recent years it has focused on issues around poverty, the economy, refugees and migration, the environment, peace and conflict, and politics.

The Internships

A day in the life

• Translate clients’ strategic visions into media objectives and KPIs to accomplish a wide range of client objectives including direct response (lead gen and fundraising), awareness, persuasion, and advocacy.

The Programme Officer (PO) will be part of a five-person team, working under the direction of the Senior Programme Manager to advance the Foundation’s advocacy and creative work across and around our three thematic areas. The Programme Officer will play a leading role in integrating creativity into the Foundation’s advocacy work while making an important contribution to our flagship creative programmes. This role will design and deliver events, such as the Commonwealth People’s Forum and the Critical Conversations series, and support other advocacy initiatives.

The Programme Officer will also support our intergovernmental liaison and external outreach, maintaining effective relationships with the Commonwealth Secretariat and other key partners. They will also help shape and deliver the Programme’s creative output, including the Commonwealth Short Story Prize, while actively embedding creativity across our advocacy work.

Key responsibilities of the Programme Officer include:

Work across our frontline services shows us what matters to women, and where things can and should be better in the care they receive from others. Based on these insights, we commission academic and peer-led research and direct the attention of local and national policy-makers, commissioners and service providers to what needs to change, and how. Everyone at Birth Companions plays a role in this. Communication and collaboration between our frontline practitioners, policy and engagement staff and the women in our Lived Experience Team means we are able to identify and monitor issues and themes and draw on learning in order to feed them into conversations with senior stakeholders across maternity, criminal justice, social services and immigration. In this way we ensure our policy and influencing work is rooted in the day-to-day experiences of women and what will make most difference to them and their babies. 

The Coordinator: Community Perinatal Services will coordinate and deliver a high quality, trauma-informed service offering specialist emotional and practical support to pregnant women and new mothers for up to 12 months post-birth, who are experiencing multiple disadvantage and living in the community, predominantly in the northeast London area.

The role includes the co-ordination and support of volunteers, who deliver the majority of our birth support service.
