About the role
Our volunteers and tutors are fundamental to TAP’s work and the sessions provided by our volunteers and tutors are key to the impact we have on our students’ outcomes. The volunteering and group tuition function is responsible for all stages of the volunteer and tuition process including recruiting volunteers and group tutors, training and onboarding them and ensuring they have an enjoyable experience. Volunteers and tutors work online with students in one-hour long sessions, supporting them with either academic studies or providing skills-based coaching.
This role is instrumental in recruiting volunteers and group tutors and is key in managing relationships with external organisations and providers of volunteers and group tutors.
For this role you will need meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisation, communication and presentation skills. The ability to work successfully with external organisations and work collaboratively with internal teams to achieve collective goals is essential.

Role responsibilities
The Volunteer and Tutor Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Recruiting volunteers and tutors to target
- Managing relationships with key contacts at corporate partners, volunteering platforms and universities
- Working with Head of Volunteer and Tutor Recruitment to develop the recruitment strategy
- Providing data and maintaining accurate records on CRM systems and spreadsheets

Person specification
We are looking for the right individual who will be a great fit for the role and the team. We recognise that someone with the right skills for this role could currently be working in a position that does not involve volunteer or group tutor recruitment. Full training will be provided to help the right candidate transfer their skills and thrive in this role.
As this role involves regularly leading volunteer recruitment events and sessions it will involve regular travel to partner organisations, of which the majority are based in London. There is flexibility for hybrid working, however the position will require regular attendance in London at The Access Project’s and our partners offices.

The role
The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will be part of the Monitoring & Evaluation team, reporting to the Senior Data Analyst.
You will play a key role in advising on and delivering the monitoring and evaluation requirements of the Academy for their portfolio of funding under the International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF). This includes developing streamlined data collection tools that minimise the burden on award holders and Academy staff whilst meeting stringent reporting requirements.
Other responsibilities include the analysis of data and statistics and their visual representation in reports and presentations for internal and external audiences, including funders, as well as identifying how reporting requirements or strategies developed for ISPF might support other British Academy teams and wider Monitoring and Evaluation requirements.

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences – is seeking a Research Funding Officer (Grants) to join our Research Funding Team.
The role
The role of the Research Funding Officer is to deliver specific activities within the portfolio of funding schemes managed by members of the Research Funding Team with specific responsibility for the BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grants, the Stein-Arnold Exploration Fund, and the Neil Ker Memorial Fund. The Officer will be responsible for pre- and post-award management; planning and budgeting; advising applicants, award holders and assessors; monitoring and reporting on award outcomes; producing statistics and summary reports; and contributing to the ongoing improvement of the Academy’s grant management system.
You will work closely with another Research Funding Officer to deliver and administer the BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grants, leading on the opening, closing, and award-making aspects of alternate rounds, as this scheme runs twice a year, as well as working closely with the Academy’s Fellows, university research offices, applicants, grant holders, researchers and other stakeholders. About The Hygiene Bank
Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted. The reality of low income is that it restricts people’s options, leaving us caught between being able to heat our homes, pay the rent, eat, or be clean. It is washing hair, bodies, faces and clothes in the same cheap washing-up liquid used for the dishes. It is not being able to replace a toothbrush when needed or sharing a toothbrush because one each just isn't an option. It is having to choose between shaving foam and razors or the transport fare to a job interview.
Hygiene Poverty is the hidden crisis facing the UK. Earlier this year, The Hygiene Bank published a research report into the incidence and impact of hygiene poverty. It found that over 4.2m adults in the UK are affected by hygiene poverty, that is an additional 1.1m people into hygiene poverty since 2022 - the equivalent of the population of Birmingham.
With hygiene poverty on the rise, it is also undermining the nation’s health: 50% of those affected by hygiene poverty say that it is causing them anxiety or depression. 92% of people affected report that it limits their social interactions with friends and family. 54% of those affected have not gone to the dentist in the last 12 months. But most importantly, it’s putting people in impossible situations. A staggering 69% of adults experiencing hygiene poverty are having to make the difficult decision between paying for essential needs like food and bills or purchasing basic toiletries. 65% of parents affected by hygiene poverty have had to choose between buying hygiene products for themselves or their children.

About the role
This role will be part of a multi-disciplinary Communications Team working together to raise awareness of the work of The Hygiene Bank. The successful candidate will develop and deliver effective marketing and communications content, with a special focus on digital channels, to promote The Hygiene Bank’s work, partnerships, and year-round fundraising activity – including National Hygiene Week and brand collaborations – and demonstrate the positive impact donations have had on communities across the UK. You will work with them to create packages of creative story content that may include photos, video, or written content.
You will support the Stories team in Christmas planning and delivering the storytelling during Crisis at Christmas. You will lead on editing, reviewing, and signing off content with Christmas guests in a safe and ethical way.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be a creative storyteller who is able to collaborate and build relationships with a wide variety of people.
You’ll be a great writer and editor who loves to tell interesting stories. You may have experience interviewing people, and you’ll enjoy building relationships and rapport with others. You may have experience in photography too.
You will be passionate about supporting people to get their voice heard, and about ending homelessness. Your knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and your attention to detail will ensure processes are followed to share stories safely and ethically.

Parkinson’s UK works with health and social care professionals to transform Parkinson’s services across the UK.
We do this through the Parkinson’s Excellence Network (PEN), a network of around 6,000 health and care professionals with a shared vision: to build an expert Parkinson’s workforce and improve health and care services for people with Parkinson’s.
We bring together and support health and care professionals to share best practice, network and collaborate, share resources and education, and drive improvements to services for people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.
Since its establishment in 2015, the Excellence Network has provided networking and collaboration opportunities for professionals across the different regions of the UK. In England, the Excellence Network is moving to a new regional model aligned to the 7 NHS England regions. The regional model in the devolved nations will remain the same: 3 regions in Scotland, 2 in Wales and 1 in Northern Ireland.
To help us deliver this new regional model, we are looking for a healthcare professional to take on the role of Regional Clinical Lead on a consultancy basis.

You’ll:

- Attend the annual in-person PEN National and Regional Clinical Leads meeting.
- Support the PEN national calendar of events through attendance or promotion. This includes Excellence Hub meetings and other activities centred around our national priorities.
- Work closely with the PEN National Clinical Leadership Team (CLT) to discuss and review national and regional priorities. Attend a virtual meeting with CLT 2 times per year.
What expertise you’ll bring
You’ll:
- Be a UK-based clinical healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with extensive interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged to apply.
- Have a good understanding of the landscape of health and social care delivery, education and workforce development to support the strategic aims and objectives of Parkinson’s UK.
What you can expect from Parkinson’s UK
You’ll:
- Be formally welcomed and introduced to the Excellence Network and your role as a regional clinical lead.
- Be provided with an introduction pack, which outlines all the activities of the PEN at a national, regional and local level, so that you can gain an understanding of where your role fits in.
- Meet regularly with the Professional Engagement team to discuss and plan activity in your region, working to a co-developed engagement plan for your PEN region. We will be flexible, taking into account your individual needs.
- Meet with the Professional Engagement Lead or Associate Director of Policy & Health Strategy after 6 months in the role for a review meeting and then annually thereafter (or more frequently if required).
- Be provided with a set of resources and information to support you in your role eg. a ready made presentation on the PEN, data from the services within your patch, including relevant data from the UK Parkinson’s Audit.
- Be invited to an annual event for the National and Regional Clinical Leads, to provide updates, training and opportunities for discussion.

- Time commitment will be 0.5 days per week (1 programmed activity) to be worked flexibly across the month.
- Monthly rate will be based on skills and experience.
- Term of consultancy services will be set tenure of 3 years from date of appointment, with an option to extend once for a further 3 years.
We will also ask you/your employer to send across a monthly invoice to the Professional Engagement Manager at Parkinson’s UK and include a short paragraph outlining what you’ve done in the role each month. We can provide an example of this.
