What will I be doing?
- Manage the annual IOP Awards - Medals and Prizes awards cycle, which celebrate outstanding physicists in the UK and Ireland.

- Play a critical role in delivering our physics impact projects to shape the debate on matters of importance to the physics community in academia and business.
Projects you work on may include:

- Support our impact projects, including encouraging participation from IOP members and Groups and setting up surveys, workshops and meetings to gather evidence from the community. Past projects include Green Economy, Quantum and Semiconductors.
- Manage and engage with key stakeholders in academia, including IOP Fellows and Members, award winners and universities, bringing new members into the fold.

Key Responsibilities:
- Managing Directors diaries, prioritising meetings, maintain action logs, track key deadlines, and support effective work planning. making effective decisions without director's input.
- Manage and respond to correspondence on behalf of the Directors, ensuring timely and appropriate communication.
- Co-ordinate and provide full administrative support for Board, Trustees and Committee meetings, including agenda preparation, taking minutes/action points as agreed, monitoring and following up on agreed actions prior to the next scheduled meeting.
- To lead on the collation, analysis, drafting and formatting of regular reports, dashboards and management information related to directorate and strategic performance.
- Ensuring that Heads of Department and other contributors are aware of, and meet, all deadlines.
- Manage supplier contracts, ensuring cost-effective procurement of services, processing of invoices.
- Working in unison with other Executive Assistants ensuring support across the team of Directors at times of holiday and any other absence.
- Ensuring that Directors are prepared and best able to represent the Association when attending external meetings and other events, managing all travel and other logistical arrangements.
About You:
- Proven experience in high-level administration, at Director and/or Board level.

5 billion people do not have access to safe, affordable surgical and anaesthesia care when needed. Can you help us address this neglected area of global health care?
Surgery and anaesthesia have a fundamental and growing impact on global health outcomes. Surgical intervention could address at least 30% of the global burden of disease, and yet the poorest 33% of people receive just 3.5% of all surgery. Post-operative mortality rates 1,000 times higher than in some high-income countries can be found in parts of the world where surgery and anaesthesia have been neglected, and in some countries as many as 90% of anaesthetic departments do not have the equipment to provide a safe anaesthetic for a child.

Purpose of Role
In your role of Communications Officer, you will contribute to the delivery of WFSA’s objectives by helping to implement advocacy and communications strategies.
You will report to the Head of Advocacy & Communications and liaise regularly with the rest of the small staff team in the Secretariat. Ataxia is the umbrella term for a group of neurological conditions and Ataxia UK is the UK’s leading ataxia support and research charity. About the Role

The team
The communications team works alongside the fundraising team, and is responsible for delivering marketing, communications and PR that promotes both our charitable and commercial (venue hire) work.
This is a new team that will bring fresh perspectives and new energy to how we do things, how we drive the organisation forwards to ensure that we are increasing our profile and awareness of our work, and what we have to offer in the journey to making society in East London and beyond a fairer place.
Scope of role
As Communications, Marketing, and PR Manager, you will play a key role in raising Toynbee Hall’s profile, ensuring that our charitable work and commercial venue hire operations receive the recognition they deserve. This is a newly created role, designed to lead external communications, oversee PR and brand strategy, and develop impactful marketing campaigns that engage our audiences.
You will also line manage the Digital Engagement Officer, who will focus on digital communications, social media, and internal engagement. Together, you will drive our brand forward and ensure our work is heard by key stakeholders, supporters, and the wider public.

Job Purpose
The Specialist Policy Officer plays a vital role within Clinks’ National Influencing & Networks team, delivering high-quality policy work that supports systemic change in the criminal justice system. The postholder will contribute to shaping evidence-based policy and influencing decision-makers, working closely with colleagues across Clinks and external stakeholders. Duties and key responsibilities
1. Policy Intelligence and Research
· Lead horizon scanning of central, local and devolved government policy developments (with the Senior Engagement & Development Officer – Wales) to assess implications for the voluntary sector.
· Conduct member-focused research to inform Clinks’ consultation responses and policy publications, including blogs, briefings, and outputs from the Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group (RR3).
· Lead the design, delivery, and publication of Clinks’ annual State of the Sector research.
2. Policy Development and Influence
· Draft clear, evidence-based policy materials for engagement with political stakeholders, including Ministers and officials.
· Develop mechanisms and opportunities for voluntary sector organisations to engage in policy development with statutory agencies.
· Provide policy support and analysis for Clinks’ Chief Executive and Director of National Influencing & Networks in high-level meetings.
3. Internal Collaboration and Support
· Work closely with Clinks' Area Engagement & Partnerships team to ensure member experiences and regional insights inform national policy work.
· Support colleagues across Clinks to understand policy contexts and improve their influencing work—including restricted specialist projects.
· Share policy updates and emerging trends during internal staff meetings.
4. External Representation and Stakeholder Engagement
· Represent Clinks at external meetings and events, including with senior political stakeholders and at Clinks-facilitated regional forums.
· Contribute to the development and operation of policy-focused groups, networks, and advisory structures.
· Work with the communications and admin team to maintain Clinks’ stakeholder database and ensure the distribution of policy content.
5. Content and Communications
· Collaborate with the Specialist Communications Officer to produce accessible and engaging social media and website content related to policy.
· Contribute written materials that engage audiences, influence decision-makers, and promote understanding of key issues.

What will you be doing?
- Leading the Challenging Lives programme strategy - Identifying and managing partnership opportunities to drive charitable impact and trading revenue as well as championing and broadening the impact of YHAs Breaks programme, and developing partnerships and programmes with synergistic organisation.
- You'll build effective relationships, identifying and managing relationships with key charity partners as well as conducting periodical reviews of processes and best practise, setting mutually agreed targets.
- Delivering YHA’s Breaks programme, building relationships with beneficiary organisations, co-designing programmes with them to meet the needs of young people. You will also attend and present the Breaks programme at supporter engagement events as and when required.

- Ensuring engagement and buying from key internal stakeholders through robust internal communication processes.
- You'll lead the programme process, coordinating the capture of impact and providing evidence of the Breaks programme to the fundraising team to enable them to report funders. You'll also manage the Breaks programme application process and coordinate the decision panel, keep the Breaks P&L up to date with spend allocation in accordance with the funders wish and or restrictions, managing the customer journey for all Breaks customers and provide accurate content to ensure that the website and all publications are kept up to date and engaging.
What Skills and Experience do you need?
We are looking for candidates with the following qualities:
- Experience of developing partnerships and commercial relationships, ideally at a national level
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build strong internal relationships with key internal stakeholders and experience of influencing at Senior and Executive management level
- Broad knowledge and understanding of YHA’s customer base, education & youth programmes / and wider charity sector
- Excellent organisational skills involving planning, prioritising and proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously, bringing each to completion on time
- Experience of developing and monitoring budgets and KPIs.
- Experience of report writing for varied stakeholders requiring differing levels of detail and summary
