The Role
This is an exciting role within a critical area of FILE, building our evidence base on impact and using it to support learning with a range of stakeholders. The Impact & Learning team at FILE is responsible for generating evidence and learning, enabling FILE and its partners to be as impactful as possible.
As a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist, you will be part of a small and integrated team providing support across a broad portfolio of work.
This involves collating and analysing data, creating and facilitating learning processes within FILE and with our funded partners, and ensuring evidence and insights are fed back into our strategies and those of our partners.
This team works closely with all functions across the wider organisation.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform tasks related to the collection and analysis of data as well as learning from evidence regarding FILE’s activities. This position will primarily focus on supporting four key areas:
- Monitoring: enabling and supporting the collection of robust and consistent data from partners to support their progress towards impact
- Data management: partner data collation and verification from different data sources
- Donor and Board reporting: preparation and presentation of data and evidence for our donors and board to demonstrate our progress towards impact
- Learning: enable learning at all levels of the organisation through designing and delivering learning processes with FILE staff and partners
To achieve this, you will:
- Support our portfolio and grants team in monitoring and reviewing grant documentation in line with FILE’s results framework including providing grant assessments.
- Review and verify partner reports, providing summaries for internal portfolio, executive teams and FILE’s auditing.
- Monitor progress of individual grants and portfolios including data extraction in line with FILE’s Results Framework and Case Database
- Maintain and refine as required, data collection and management tools including partner reporting templates in collaboration with our grant management team.
- Summarise relevant data for inclusion in our 6 monthly donor reports and quarterly updates for our Board and Senior Leadership Team.
- Support our Impact and Learning Manager to coordinate strategic inputs from portfolio teams relating to progress and results for inclusion in donor reports.
- Support our Impact and Learning Manager with the development and facilitation of webinars and learning sessions for FILE’s key audiences.
- Prepare and share relevant data in a compelling format bi-annual learning processes with FILE portfolio teams.
- Support our Impact and Learning Manager with the creation of new templates and methods for showcasing impact and results across a wide range of audiences.
About you

- Understanding of and interest in climate mitigation & adaptation, biodiversity or other environmental issues
- Proven experience of applying monitoring, evaluation and learning or research approaches within an organisation
- Experience and interest in building equitable relationships and partnerships and a confident collaborator, able to work with people across the organisation and with external partners
- Facilitation skills – in person and online, including designing sessions and processes which focus on learning outcomes for participants
- Experience of collecting qualitative and quantitative data using different tools and templates including desktop research and semi-structured interview
- Data visualisation skills using different platforms and tools to clearly and compellingly communicate data
- Good quantitative data management and analysis skills including use of MS databases (Excel, Access) or other similar tools
- Competent in translating technical information into reports or knowledge products for different audiences
- Well-developed project management skills
- Philanthropic experience an advantage but not a requirement

The Foundation for International Law for the Environment (FILE) was set up in 2018 to be the major philanthropic re-granter scaling up legal action globally to tackle the climate and the biodiversity crises.

Role Summary
Speakers For Schools is looking for a senior and experienced Evaluation Manager to lead and oversee an impact evaluation project.. This role requires a dedicated professional to manage the day-to-day operations of an independent evaluation conducted by an external agency.
The Evaluation Manager will ensure the project is executed smoothly, meets its objectives, and delivers high-quality, actionable insights. This position is ideal for someone with strong project management skills, a solid background in evaluation methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
The Evaluation Manager works closely with the Director of Policy, Research and Impact and the Director of Programme and Delivery to ensure the successful implementation of the project. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact for the evaluation delivery, and it involves a great level of internal and external stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
Strategic Purpose:
· Lead the evaluation project, ensuring it adheres to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
· Serve as the primary point of contact between the external evaluation agency, internal stakeholders and the funder.
· Monitor the progress of the evaluation, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring that milestones are met.
· Make informed, timely, and effective decisions to drive the project forward. The candidate should be able to analyse complex situations, consider various perspectives, and choose the best course of action to resolve issues and make progress.
Engagement:
· Coordination and facilitation of effective communication and collaboration among all parties involved, including staff, partners, and the evaluation agency.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders, including the Programmes and Delivery Directorate, Technology and Data team and Communications
· Collaborate with the Data Compliance team to ensure adherence to data integrity and security standards
· Prepare and present regular updates to senior management and the funding body, highlighting key findings and progress.
Delivery:
· Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure data quality, completeness, and integrity.
· Work closely with the evaluators to address any discrepancies or issues identified during data collection or analysis.
· Develop a how-to-guide for future impact evaluations for the charity and design a knowledge transfer tool during the course of the project
· Develop and implement processes for data validation and verification to improve accuracy and reliability.
· Adherence to data compliance, standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure our data integrity and consistency.
· Ensure safeguarding best practices are embedded in all organisational activities.

Skills / Experience / Knowledge:
Essential
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in evaluation, impact or a related field.

Every year thousands of students volunteer to build communities around activities and social issues that are meaningful to them. These volunteer student leaders have a huge impact on the student experience of thousands more of their peers, as well as hundreds of people in the University’s local community. The Student Development Team aims to create opportunities for students to build and participate in communities that are inclusive, sustainable, ambitious, and impactful, and the Senior Volunteer Coordinator will play a key role in achieving this vision for our student leadership programmes.
In collaboration with a second Senior Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll be leading on a series of volunteering programmes that we’re really proud of. Since September 2023, student volunteers have raised over £150,000 for charitable causes, given over 2,800 hours of their time to volunteer directly in the local community, and broadcast an award-winning radio station, among other achievements. As the Senior Volunteer Coordinator you will coordinate the onboarding, skills development, and tailored support for volunteer student leaders who, in turn, coordinate their own volunteer teams. This means you’ll play a vital role in shaping our student leadership culture, as the way you manage your volunteers will influence the way they manage theirs.

Women V Cancer is a unique partnership between Dream Challenges, Breast Cancer Now and Ovarian Cancer Action. Together, we have raised more than £20 million in fundraising across a portfolio of one day mass participation cycling events and overseas multi-day cycling challenges.
The partnership has big aspirations for growth and is looking for someone to join as a Fundraising and Partnerships Officer with key responsibilities in relationship management across the partners, reporting and analysis, events marketing, and participant stewardship.
The right candidate will be a self-driven and experienced fundraiser, whose knowledge of marketing strategies in fundraising and events, alongside an impactful supporter journey, can enable the development and growth of this long-standing partnership. You will have experience of the charity sector, event delivery, and social media marketing.
Key Areas
Marketing and stewardship
- Increase participant numbers on events through comprehensive and diverse marketing campaigns.
- Assist in digital advertising of events including creations of social media campaigns and PPC.
- Assisting in maintenance and digital creation on the branded WVC microsite.
- Develop the partnerships first user-generated video content campaigns, and influencer campaigners, alongside the group Digital Marketing Manager.
- Assist with automated journeys from lead generation marketing.
- Assist with social media channels and assist in creating social media marketing.
- Create and send email marketing campaigns.
- Deliver stewardship journeys of registered participants on events.
- Increase the average fundraising raised per participant.

Relationship management
- Build strong relationships with all three parties and represent key stakeholder interests both internally and externally.
- Understand each individual partner’s ways of working, their individual tone of voice and organisational visions and ensure these are implemented across the partnership.
- Coordinate project groups, communications and meetings, working with various teams within all parties to plan and schedule activities.
Reporting and analysis
- Work with the Marketing team and representatives from each of the charities to undertake campaign reporting, as well as post-event analysis including, but not limited to, audience insight and feedback, engagement and attendance rates, and fundraising per participant.
- Establishing a clear payment schedule for both sides for marketing contributions and donations.
- Track performance including registration numbers and income – reporting back to all parties.
- Undertake analysis work to improve understanding of current audience demographics and their interests, reviewing this regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Undertake regular competitor analysis work to scope trends and gaps in the marketplace – looking at how we benchmark ourselves against our competitors.
- Support on the strategic planning devised by all partners, providing insight learnt from the portfolio and audience analysis to help shape this.
General
- Keep up to date with sector knowledge to ensure best practice.
- Identify new trends and scope out new product development.
- Support all elements of event delivery (including volunteer recruitment, training weekends), attending UK and overseas events when required.
- Help identify and build relationships with relevant celebrities or influencers to contribute to the Women V Cancer marketing strategy
- Work alongside charity partners to develop supporter journeys for a series of UK and Overseas events which will increase conversion, average gift and retention.
- Identifying high value fundraisers and create a specific supporter journey for these individuals.
Personal Specification
Essential:

Events Officer
We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Officer to join the team in this flexible working role.
We are looking for someone proactive, tenacious, and empathetic, as you will be working for a charity that represents 100% of the NHS charity sector in the UK, helping the NHS tackle today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities.
Position: Events Officer
Location: Warwick/hybrid (2 days per week in Warwick office)
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week) less two hours paid wellbeing time, 9-11am on Friday mornings
Closing Date: Midnight on Wednesday 24th July
The Role
The Events Officer plays a key role, working closely with the Member Events and Partnerships Manager, membership team and members.
The Events and Training Officer is crucial in delivery of the member offer and strategy, with responsibility for the ongoing support and delivery of building capacity and capability through:
- Impactful member events both online and in-person
- Capturing and responding to member insights
- Member Communications
This is a diverse membership consisting of charities based in hospitals, mental health, community, and ambulance services and across all four nations of the UK. Members are all at different stages of their journey and have in common their drive to grow and deliver greater impact for their patients, staff, and communities. This role will help deliver events across the membership and support opportunities to help develop the whole sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support delivery of yearly in-person and remote events programme including flagship Annual Conference
- Create, manage and promote the booking processes for member events
- Design, manage and deliver regular member Webinar Wednesday programme
- Facilitate peer learning and support through Regional & Special Interest Groups
- Gather insights and feedback, design surveys to identify member need, data analysis and reporting
- Deputise for Member Events and Partnerships Manager at events, as required
- Manage member questions and queries
About You
You will have experience of events administration and cordination, ideally within a membership organisation, with a proven track record of working as part of a team to deliver joint objectives.
You should be an excellent communicator and sensitive to stakeholder relations, passionate about delivering impactful work, with a proven ability to be highly organised and manage your own workload.
You will need:
- Experience of events administration and of using a CRM system
- Demonstrable experience of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and an ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record for collaborative working and building sustainable relationships at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to assimilate information clearly and prepare appropriate, clear and concise content
- Ideally, knowledge or experience of working for a membership organisation or in the charity sector
