Job Purpose

This is an exciting time to be joining Barnsley CVS and the development of its volunteer offer, working closely with the Barnsley Refugee Advice Project to ensure best practice.

The main purpose of the role is to facilitate better integration of refugee’s, migrants, and asylum seekers into community life in Barnsley using the vehicle of volunteering as a means of supporting this.

You will be responsible for building a strong and trusted relationship with the refugee and asylum seeking community; ensuring potential volunteers are well supported to easily access volunteer roles in Barnsley and playing a significant role in community cohesion. You are likely to provide support through 1-1 support, small group sessions or carefully worded website adverts and information.  Alongside this, you will work closely with voluntary and community sector groups to help them develop appropriate opportunites, ensure good practice and create a network of trusted organisations.

You will need a passion for volunteering and inclusion, patience to work with vulnerable communities and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people in both a written and spoken context.

Main duties

Individual support

· Providing direct support to individuals from Barnsley refugee, migrant and asylum-seeking community to find community-based volunteering roles

· To support the potential volunteer through the application process

· To support the potential volunteer through the recruitment and selection process

· To provide support to the volunteer during the settling in period

Support to organisations

· To work with organisations to ensure that volunteer policies and procedures are inclusive

· Work with organisations to provide high quality support to volunteers from the Barnsley refugee, migrant and asylum-seeking community

· Provide support and guidance in relation to obtaining DBS and equivalent checks where necessary

· Provide information, advice, training and assistance to organisations on the implementation, management and monitoring of volunteering activities

Collaboration

· The post-holder will be expected to work in collaboration with the Barnsley Refugee and Advice Partnership

· To attend the migrant drop-in and work in collaboration with the partners of the migrant network

· To work in collaboration with other Volunteer Coordinators both internally and externally through attendance at the Volunteer Coordinators / Managers meetings hosted by Barnsley CVS

· To attend workshops, group meetings, market places to help network and promote the volunteer services of Barnsley CVS

· To create reports reflecting the progress and learnings of the project to both report to the local authority and to assist in development

Family Support Worker (SHS School Practitioner)

Hours: 5 days per week term time only - 35 hours per week

Salary: £22,274 - £24,796 per annum (This is the actual salary)

Now the charity is planning to grow and expand with our 5-year plan (‘DA2029’) to replicate the Disability Africa Model to reach more disabled children across Africa.

By 2029 we will: 
• Start work with at least 4 new partners in Africa (as well as expected growth at our existing projects). 
• Deliver 160,000 attendances by at least 1,500 disabled children in 7 African countries. 
• Grow and reach as many disabled children as possible - we know we can’t do it all by ourselves - so we will engage other international NGOs to adopt our model of inclusion.

The Role

The Inclusion Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting children and young people affected by the Grenfell tragedy. • Deliver one-to-one and group-based interventions, including after-school programs and small group teaching sessions tailored to specific learning needs.

The Role

The Senior Inclusion Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who have been affected by the Grenfell tragedy. You will work directly with families, schools, alternative provisions, and local services to identify and address individual needs, ensuring that inclusive education practices are implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small team, including an Inclusion Specialist and Family Practitioner.
• Oversee complex SEN cases, guiding families through assessments, referrals, and support plans.
• Provide trauma-informed guidance, advising on how trauma impacts learning and behaviour.
• Work with schools and local authorities to design inclusive education strategies and improve SEN provision.
• Conduct baseline assessments and develop individual support plans for children and young people.

Family Inclusion Worker

Location:  London, N17 0AR (This is an outreach position, you will be based at the service on Bromley road, but required to work between the services in the area)

Salary: £26,250 - £34,650 per annum

The Role

To provide targeted and specialist interventions based on the whole family approach to children, young people, parents, carers & families who have been affected by drug or alcohol use. This role will be based between young people and adult services, to support the whole family. 

To deliver a range of high quality direct and indirect services to support the needs of children, young people, parents, carers and families in relation to complex substance use and recovery, through assessments, group work facilitation, recovery planning, case management and one to one intervention. 

Work closely with colleagues across the Haringey Treatment system to ensure identification of parents, children, young people and families for Family Inclusion Work. This includes publicising the service to colleagues, attending team meetings, undertaking joint assessments and joint support work where appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideally candidates will have experience in supporting families, using a whole family’s approach, strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of substance misuse.

We are looking for a Trussell Trust Financial Inclusion Caseworker to join our friendly team of paid staff and our team of volunteers.

We are looking for, an ideally experienced, Advice Case Worker to join our team in Abingdon, working part time for 18.5 hours per week.  

As a Trussell Trust Financial Inclusion Caseworker you will deliver advice through multiple channels including telephone, video and face to face. You may be asked to deliver advice appointments at local food banks or other locations in your district area. You will be giving advice about benefits, debts and related issues.

Work with other specialists both within the service and externally to ensure that the client receives the most appropriate specialist support for different issues where appropriate.

Citizens Advice Oxfordshire is an independent local charity operating within the Citizens Advice Network.

Salary: £25,592 - £27,166 annual salary pro rata, based on qualification & experience

About the Role

This role is perfect for an experienced DEIB Manager who thrives on leading structured, high-impact initiatives. Key Responsibilities

. Project manage DEIB initiatives from planning to execution, ensuring key milestones are met.

. Oversee the DEIB work plan, tracking progress, identifying risks, and recommending solutions.

. Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams, employee network groups, and senior leaders, providing operational support and ensuring clear communication.

. Prepare and present project reports, status updates, and insights to leadership and stakeholders.

. Manage event planning and coordination for key DEIB initiatives, ensuring smooth execution.

. Collaborate with internal teams to integrate DEIB best practices into company-wide programs and strategies.

. Ensure all DEIB projects comply with equality legislation and align with company policies.

About You

We are looking for an organised, strategic, and solutions-focused DEIB Manager with strong Project Management experience and with a track record of successfully leading initiatives across teams.

Essential Skills & Experience:

. Proven experience in project management, ideally in HR, DEIB, or organisational development.

· Good knowledge of Equality Legislation

· Good understanding of inclusion, diversity, and equality within a working environment

· Proven extensive experience in stakeholder management (internal and external)

· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

· Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and how they apply in the workplace.

Desirable:

· Formal Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, PMP).

· Degree level qualification and/or equivalent experience in business administration,

project management or events planning and delivery.

· Understanding of staff Networks and their role in supporting the wider diversity

agenda

· Demonstrable experience of dealing with matters of a highly sensitive and

confidential nature

As Deputy Fundraising Director, Public Fundraising, you will: 

• Be responsible for a public fundraising income portfolio of c. £20m p.a. across recruitment, retention and development income streams, with shared accountability for a fundraising income budget of £35m
• Lead the development and implementation of a strategy and plans for public fundraising, aligned with Greenpeace UK’s new 3-year organisational and fundraising strategies and objectives
• Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and support to a team of 29, with 4 direct reports
• Lead the team in the planning, implementation and evaluation of a multichannel public fundraising programme designed to recruit, develop and retain supporters to maximise their lifetime value through tailored supporter journeys and outstanding supporter experience
• Oversee the development of detailed financial forecasts, scenarios and budgets for the public fundraising portfolio to underpin fundraising strategies and investment opportunities
• Play an active role in fostering a positive, inclusive and collaborative department culture, role modelling working to shared objectives, celebrating success and learning from setbacks and failures

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Experience of fundraising/marketing to individuals at scale, with a proven track record of recruiting and retaining new supporters, members or customers in the tens of thousands and generating 7-8 figure revenue/income across multiple income streams
• A track record of planning, forecasting and budgeting, including developing investment cases and modelling income, return on investment and lifetime value over short, mid and long term horizons to drive decision-making and investment choices
• Demonstrable experience of leading, managing, motivating and inspiring high performing multi-disciplinary teams including managing managers, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture
• Experience of developing, implementing, and adapting fundraising strategies that meet long-term financial objectives
• Proven ability to use data, analytics, and insights to drive decision- making, optimise fundraising performance, and improve supporter recruitment, retention and engagement
• A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism, with a willingness to continually learn and foster a positive and inclusive culture

The role of Programme Support Officer will provide administrative and coordination support to new What Works Programmes, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects and initiatives.

The role will also oversee the administration of two expert evaluation advisory groups and the evaluation panel that supports the Evidence & Evaluation team to commission and run high quality projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with programme and project design, planning, monitoring of progress, liaison with other teams in Youth Futures, including communications, and resolving problems

• Providing administration support to two expert evaluation advisory groups (including setting up contracts, managing communication with the group, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and managing payments to advisory group members)

• Meeting note taking and minuting and preparation of relevant documentation as required

• Administration support of panels (including setting up contracts, managing communication with the panel, scheduling meetings, allocating tasks, and managing payments to panel members). These panels may cover ethics, peer review, and provision of evaluation projects.

Mindful Mums is an award-winning perinatal mental health and wellbeing peer support project that builds resilience and confidence in women and birthing people in the first year of motherhood.

As a Mindful Mums Project Worker, you will help co-deliver our five-week Perinatal Wellbeing programme with our peer support volunteers. Within these groups, you will provide a safe, non-judgemental space for women and birthing people to share their experiences, meet others and discuss the challenges that come during the first year of parenthood. You will be involved in all frontline aspects of the project, including training volunteers who have lived through their own perinatal mental health problems. You will also help to review, monitor and evaluate the project, and disseminate learning.

You will have knowledge of perinatal mental health, be an effective communicator with experience of delivering groups or workshops, and preferably experience of working within community-based or voluntary services. Your exceptional organisation skills will support the successful delivery of the project and ensure that it is evaluated effectively.

Points to note:

• This role will involve travel across the boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich
• Groups take place during term time during school hours, Monday - Friday
• You must be available to deliver a full five-week programme
• Groups are held within Children’s Centres and community venues across the London Boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich.

• Pregnancy Wellbeing (antenatal)
• Mindful Mums Wellbeing (postnatal)
• Diversity Matters (for those from the ethnically diverse backgrounds)
• Young Mums (for parents aged 16-22)
