We are looking for two enthusiastic, efficient, and coordinated professionals to join the Exams Operations team as an Exams Administrator at the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR).
Exams are a core tenet of producing high quality doctors and this role manages the practical delivery of exams, supporting candidates and examiners and ensuring operational excellence. The Exams Administrator has day-to-day delivery responsibility for the First FRCR exams and the Final FRCR Part A in both Clinical Radiology and Clinical Oncology. ese assessments feature both written and image-based components, delivered across different digital platforms and run over multiple sittings in both UK and global venues. The assessments are - for many – candidates first experience of the FRCR exams and of the wider organisation. The postholders work will support the RCR’s intended strategic increase in candidate numbers, notably from global candidates who have a choice of international radiology and oncology qualifications.
To be successful in this role you’ll be an excellent communicator able to work collaboratively with colleagues and chairs of relevant exam boards. You’ll be committed to delivering an exceptional professional and proactive service, using your critical thinking skills to problem solve and relieve pain points.You will be joining a dedicated team who enjoy the challenge of ‘making a difference’ by supporting doctors through their RCR examinations.
What you will do:
- Promote and publicise exams, filling all available exam capacity to support candidate access and maximise the use of exam content.
- Work with the Venue and Invigilation Officer on long-term capacity requirements, and support with the introduction of new venues.
- Oversee live delivery of exams delivered contemporaneously, providing remote expert support to local personnel and candidates, ensuring the smooth running of exams across multiple venues and countries.
- Process candidate bookings via the exam booking system, producing accurate exam materials such as timetables, visa correspondence and candidate lists for each sitting.
- Be the main point of contact for UK and global potential candidates ensuring an excellent customer service offer reflecting useful and timely information regarding exam criteria and eligibility.
- Support candidates and their trainers with specific exam issues and queries - relieving pain points, resolving issues with sensitivity and tact and escalating where appropriate
- Support examiners to effectively undertake their duties, notably regarding quality assurance, marking and results-generation.
What you will need:
- Experience of working in an exam, assessment or educational setting
- Experience of interpreting, applying and communicating regulations and policy.
- Experience using and maintaining a database or equivalent to store and retrieve information so that information is kept up to date and readily available
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and build and sustain effective working relationships with a diverse range of groups.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as appropriate to the audience.

The Education Officer post offers an exciting opportunity for someone to play a key and visible senior role within the postgraduate education support staff team in the Education and Training Division. Anna Freud works in academic partnership with UCL, a world-renowned, Russell Group university, as the awarding body for its postgraduate programmes. The UCL-Anna Freud collaboration leads on the delivery of a successful portfolio of academic research and clinical programmes.
The Education Officer carries managerial responsibility for the day-to-day administration of all programmes/modalities within their remit. They will also oversee the work of a wider team of Programme Officers dedicated to the delivery of UCL programmes in the Postgraduate Studies team. The post-holder will be responsible for a range of tasks including programme organisation, delivery of assessment, examinations and awards, managing the work of a team, timetabling, supporting the student experience and their general wellbeing, committee servicing and undertaking other relevant duties as and when required. They will also be expected to meet the demands of supporting innovative, teaching and learning programmes that include the use of Digital Education to support accessible learning through a mix of in-person and online teaching.
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience of providing high quality programme administration, including leading on the delivery of key elements of the student lifecycle and ensuring a high-quality service to prospective and current students, as well as programme staff. The post-holder should be experienced in the use of HEI systems like SITS, Moodle (or other similar Virtual Learning Environments) and online platforms to support the delivery of teaching and learning (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.). They should also be familiar with processes and procedures commonly used to support programme delivery. This coupled with a strong understanding of lengthy and complex academic regulations,
Location
Hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours, at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH). The post-holder will be expected to prioritise in-person attendance at team meetings and events, as well as being available to support any in-person teaching days as required.

About the role:
With our long-serving CEO and leadership team stepping down in 2024/25, the executive function has been updated into a co-CEO model of a Creative Director and Joint CEO and an Executive Director and Joint CEO (new role) to provide joint development and leadership for the organisation and affiliated projects. Together they will be responsible for articulating and achieving the creative vision and business objectives, to maintain and grow a versatile and vibrant performing arts centre and cultural community hub. They will contribute to fundraising and developmental work to achieve sustainability for the organisation. They will also oversee programmes of activity which represent the ethos and maximise artistic innovation, social and creative engagement.
Your main duties will include:
- Provide strategic leadership for the organisation and strategic advice to the Board, ensuring the development of Strategic and Business Plans, budgets and KPIs (jointly with Creative Director).
- Responsible and accountable for the overall management of the organisation through effective implementation of agreed vision, objectives, plans and targets.
- Ensure financial leadership, including annual budget setting, effective management of resources and monitoring of accounts.
- Joint lead on strategic fundraising, contributing to key fundraising applications and funder relationship management.
- With the Creative Director (and Board) maintain a wide and longer-term perspective of the external environment and developments relevant to our work; be proactive in identifying future opportunities and challenges.
- Ensure high standards of governance (with the Board), including charitable objectives and compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory responsibilities.
About you:
We are now looking for a confident leader to work alongside a team of experienced senior managers, you will need to bring with you the following skills and experience:
- Significant experience as a senior manager and leader in a major arts organisation or equivalent transferable skills; with a strong sense of how the organisation can enrich and transform the arts ecology, while meeting key stakeholders’ needs.
- Demonstrable record or potential for commercial awareness, financial acumen and business management skills to run a complex charity as a social enterprise with a vision of considered growth, innovation and risk.
- A desire to work in a creative organisation and a commitment to, and knowledge of, culturally diverse arts environments; confidence addressing equity and inclusion and realising and promoting the values of diversity in every aspect of the work.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders in the voluntary, public and private sectors; a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability and enjoyment of working within and leading an organisational culture equipped to generate cultural, management and institutional change internally and within the sector.
- Experience of management in a venue licensed for public entertainment, including demonstrable understanding of health and safety and facilities with the ability to oversee and lead on statutory compliance and best practice.
- Well-honed practical skills relating to running a similar sized organisation: highly skilled in and understanding of administration, HR, legal aspects, financial planning, monitoring and budget management.
