About the Role

As Data & Digital Operations Manager at Smart Works, you will play a pivotal role in managing the charity’s digital infrastructure and working as part of a team to ensure that the organisation is able to measure its impact, and that digital operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will oversee IT systems, digital platforms, and cybersecurity measures, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation, and playing a crucial role in Smart Works’ next steps in digitising our service. 

The role requires someone who is confident using data and digital platforms, who can apply them with a hands-on approach. The ideal candidate will balance day-to-day digital infrastructure administration with the management of relationships with external IT providers, and digital tools such as databases and online referral forms. You will also take ownership of Smart Works' internal staff platform, implementing upgrades and training staff where necessary. 

You will take a leading role in managing the digital infrastructure associated with the client service, including overseeing contracts with external providers, and making amendments to Dynamics CRM. You will be responsible for actioning local centre queries and change requests to maintain consistent, high-quality digital operations.

In addition, you will work closely with the Head of Data & Impact on ad hoc data and analysis requests across functions, helping to inform strategic decision-making across all Smart Works centres, as well as to ensure the organisation remains fully compliant with GDPR regulations, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining robust data protection practices.

• On-the-day supervision to our paid and voluntary staff across various workstreams.
• Conducting case review of debt issues (supported by our Quality of Advice and Case Review team) to ensure a gold standard in the quality of our advice.
• Playing a leadership role in nurturing partnerships, such as with council officers and specialist debt charities, to support our debt advice work and create pathways for client solutions.
• Shaping our directory of services for debt advice by supporting our leadership team to identify key areas of debt advice, desired client outcomes, and the steps required to resolve those client issues.
• Design and deliver training on debt issues to both paid and voluntary staff, as well as to community stakeholders.
• Supervise and monitor volunteers carrying out a small amount of casework where the client’s issue is of sufficient complexity to warrant engaging your expertise.
• Guaranteeing compliance with Financial Conduct Authority rules and regulations.
• Leading on research and campaign issues relating to debt and identifying where we can make a difference locally through our advocacy and case studies.

Evidence & Impact Research Assistant

East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) is a regional charity providing life-saving care across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and beyond. With two state of the art helicopters and a fleet of critical care cars, our crew of critical care paramedics and specialist doctors bring their advanced skills, equipment and medicine to the scene of the incident in the fastest time possible.

This exciting new role will support the Research, Audit, Innovation & Development (RAID) team to conduct research studies and audit projects aimed at optimising service quality and achieving the best possible outcomes for patients.

Working collaboratively with clinicians and researchers, you will support RAID projects at EAAA. Responsibilities will include data entry, extraction and accuracy checking, administrative support, and contribution to report writing.

You will have previous experience of working with data, maintaining accurate records, and working in a team and to deadlines. This varied position offers significant learning opportunities in pre-hospital emergency medical research and is ideal for someone who is organised, motivated, and detail oriented.

The role will primarily be based at Helimed House in Norwich however some travel to EAAA’s base in Cambridge will be required.

About the Role  

You will be joining at an exciting time for Ataxia UK as we celebrate our 60th anniversary year.

This brand-new role is an important part of our new strategy to sustainably grow our unrestricted income. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications and the wider team, the Senior Philanthropy Manager will lead the work to build a pipeline of major donors and family trusts and foundations.

You will be responsible for developing an excellent stewardship programme which nurtures income-generating relationships with Ataxia UK’s major donors. You will initially work with a fixed-term Philanthropy Consultant to lead the development of a researched and actionable pipeline of prospective new donors, and you will then work to successfully engage this pipeline. Ataxia UK operates a hybrid- working policy, with part time staff working 3 or 4 days a week expected to work from our offices in Highgate a minimum of 1 day a week. The role will require some occasional travel within the UK and, more rarely, internationally.

About you

The right candidate will be a natural relationship builder with a proven track record of securing high value, long term partnerships with major donors; personally securing 5 and 6-figure gifts.

You will use excellent communication skills to write compelling and tailored cases for support. As a key member of the Fundraising & Communications department, you will bring creativity, insight and experience to the team, and you will be a confident ambassador and representative internally and externally.

As an experienced major donor fundraiser, you will be comfortable and confident engaging with High-Net-Worth Individuals and their offices, celebrities, politicians and c-suite professionals. We are looking for a Head of Commercial Operations to join our busy team. Reporting to the Director of Public Engagement, you will lead and manage the teams responsible for key commercial activity such as retail, catering, venue hire and associated events, and operational functions such as bookings, security, customer service and delivering great visitor experiences.

This role is all about ensuring the business is visitor and commercially focused. You will have demonstrable experience of managing and developing commercial operations in a customer or visitor-focussed environment, inspiring your teams to work to and exceed high standards and targets.

You will be a confident self-starter with strong people management skills, and a passion for business development. Excellent IT skills are a must, and you will be astute at measuring, analysing and reporting on performance across all your areas of responsibility, always looking for ways to improve and innovate, to drive success.

This position is full time, working 37.5 hours each week, usually Monday to Friday 9.00 until 17.00. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, as required.

You will be based on site at Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes.

In return, you will receive a salary in the region of £50,000 per annum depending on experience, along with a company pension scheme, BUPA wellbeing cash plan and 38 days holiday per annum, including statutory holidays.

You will lead on the delivery of a marketing and communications strategy that will engage and champion our brand to all our key audiences, internally and externally, in a consistent manner via a number of mediums and platforms.

You will bring creativity, energy, and passion to this role, with responsibility for delivering high-quality marketing assets that will bring our vital work to life in an inspiring way to help grow awareness and increase vital income.

The successful candidate will need to have experience across various areas: PR and brand management, report writing and developing case studies.

The role is based at our state-of-the-art children’s hospice just outside Maidenhead.
