Here at Rainbows Children’s Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care and end-of-life support to over 750 Babies, Children, and Young People living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as approximately 3,000 people, including families, siblings, and carers, across the East Midlands. We are seeking a Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to join our passionate and dedicated fundraising team. Your role will be pivotal in securing vital funds for the hospice by developing and maintaining meaningful, positive relationships with grant-making organisations and individual supporters. You will research and apply to appropriate trusts and foundations while leading the identification of new grant opportunities.

Hours of work: This role is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with the very occasional evening or weekend for Events.

Location of work: Hybrid, home-based or hospice-based (an initial hospice-based period is required for onboarding and familiarisation with the team and our mission).

About the role

Some of the key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

· Clearly communicating the charity’s funding needs to potential funders through high-quality funding applications, face-to-face meetings, and other communications.

· Building strong, long-term relationships with funders through regular updates, written feedback, and networking opportunities.

· Conducting in-depth research to identify funding needs, particularly for core income, and collaborating with Rainbows care team leaders on funding requirements.

· Producing high-quality reports for funders to demonstrate the impact of their contributions and nurture ongoing support.

The Joshua Tree is recruiting for a newly created Family Support Team Leader who will be responsible for managing a team of Family Support Workers, coordinating a full range of emotional, health and wellbeing and outdoors support to benefit families affected by childhood cancer across North Wales.

The post holder is expected to lead by example, formulate high quality delivery plans and build strong working relationships with staff, visitors, volunteers, partners and users of the service. A key element of the role will be ensuring our work is impactful and supporting those who need us.

As a Carers Hospital Support Co-Ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and supporting carers who’s relative, friend or neighbour is in hospital or receiving treatment at either the Royal London Hospital or the Homerton Hospital. You will be responsible for coordinating vital services, offering guidance, and creating a supportive environment to help carers cope with the challenges they may face whilst their cared-for is in hospital. 

Responsibilities: 

• Identification and Support: Proactively identify carers of patients admitted to, either the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel or the Homerton Hospital in Hackney, and provide them with tailored support, ensuring their well-being is prioritised. 

• Information and Guidance: Offer information about available hospital resources, support services, and community networks to assist carers effectively. 

• Communication Liaison: Facilitate communication between clinical staff and carers, ensuring they are kept informed about the patient's condition, treatment plan, and discharge process. 

• Emotional Support: Provide compassionate emotional support to carers, listening to their concerns and offering a caring presence during difficult times. 

• Training and Education: Organise workshops and peer support groups to equip carers with essential skills for their caregiving role. 

• Advocacy: Advocate for carers' needs and rights within the hospital setting, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.

 Duties and key responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy 

• Build and inspire a high-performing, results-oriented team focused on delivering sustainable income to maintain and build on recent growth.

Education/training

About The Role

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is responding to the largest emergency in our 40-year history. Over the last year support for our cause has seen significant growth in income as tens of thousands of supporters have joined MAP. Our challenge now is to retain this interest and ensure we sustain income as we respond to the ongoing emergency and the longer-term health of Palestinians over the coming years. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and researching new major donors, trusts, and corporate prospects, ensuring that all data is accurately managed and compliant with GDPR and data protection laws. You will produce detailed, qualified donor profiles and briefing documents to support prospect meetings and events. Additionally, you will track and report on pools of prospective donors aligned with MAP's strategic priorities, helping to deliver qualified prospects at various giving levels to meet global fundraising targets. You’ll work collaboratively across the organisation to map networks of Trustees, Patrons, and other key ambassadors, while using fundraising analytics to manage the prospect pipeline and present findings to a range of audiences. At Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, we’re going big on charity retail. We already have nine shops located in Westbury-on-Trym, Yate, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cinderford, Bath, Thornbury and most recently Keynsham but plan to open up to four new shops a year over the next five years, giving our charity a physical presence in the heart of communities we have served since 2007.

The shops will sell a variety of goods, as well as being a hub for our charity activity locally. About Trauma Treatment International

Trauma Treatment International (TTI) is a registered charity in the UK. Our focus and expertise is in providing evidence-based psychological treatment and support to victims of collective violence around the world. As well as providing treatment for victims directly, we also support organisations that are trauma-exposed through their work to uphold human rights, in order to mitigate the impact of trauma in the workforce.

This is a highly rewarding role and an exciting opportunity to join our small and experienced clinical team, to directly support individuals working to tackle collective violence and adults affected by torture, trafficking, slavery, persecution and war. Key Primary tasks of the role:

● Work closely with the Clinical Lead and TTI’s clinical team and specialist clinical associates to create, gather and analyse data and write up the findings for service evaluations, presentations, project proposals and training purposes

● Use these findings to create accessible resources and materials to support professionals in the human rights field

● Offer facilitation of group activities supporting people who have survived collective violence

● Co-facilitate initial assessments and co-creating psychological formulations, treatment plans and safety plans (where risk is identified) alongside the Clinical Lead/ Treatment Services Manager

● Support trauma-informed organisational assessments, undertaking interviews, co-facilitating group discussions and assisting in writing up reports in partnership with the Clinical Lead/ Treatment Services Manager and other HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologists working as Associates for TT-I.

● Shadowing of clinical interventions of interest, as and where this is possible to facilitate

● Support the clinical team to deliver a range of interventions and projects as required and as per TTI’s Annual Work Plan.

Key Requirements of the role:

In carrying out their duties and working within the team, you will need to:

● demonstrate a commitment to evidence based psychological care, and be motivated to undertake basic psychological assessments under the supervision of a HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist

● engage with clients (who have survived experiences of collective violence) sensitively and professionally to gather data, analyse this data and translate it both for academic audiences and for pragmatic use by people working in the field

● work independently according to a plan agreed with the Clinical Lead and within the overall framework of TT-I’s policies and procedures

● present complex and sensitive material in a trauma-informed way to a range of audiences, where there may be communication barriers to consider and overcome

Essential qualifications and experience includes:

● BSc in Psychology

● Post graduate qualification (e.g. Masters level) in relevant areas of professional psychology

The Training Officer (Accreditation) is critical to the work of the College, as you will provide services to both trainees and Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR)/portfolio applicants, supporting them in completing their training programmes and specialist registration.  

As Training Officer (Accreditation), you will develop a thorough understanding of the RCEM Curriculum and CESR processes, ensuring that all trainees and applicants receive high-quality support and advice in line with continuous developments and changes to College standards and GMC regulation. This is an important role for the College as you will contribute to the efficient regulation and support of specialist training in Emergency Medicine.

Responsible for facilitating and processing Certification for the Completion of Training (CCT), Specialist Registration and CESR applications, including formal notifications to the GMC and coordination of CESR panel reviews, you will provide documentation for GMC CCT Quality Assurance audits and maintain detailed records relating to the CESR process.

Reporting to the Training Manager, you will lead on the recruitment, induction, training and monitoring of CESR evaluators, developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants, trainee doctors, Health Education regions, deaneries and lay members.

Degree qualified or with equivalent experience, you should have an extensive background in administering training programmes and complex processes, and have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software packages. You should also be capable of collating and analysing complex data and be able to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for change.

With excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, you will be at ease drafting correspondence, reports, spreadsheets and other documents, ensuring accuracy and clear presentation.

An understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality along with knowledge of the CESR process is essential. Experience of event management and of servicing committees, including preparing agendas and taking minutes, would be advantageous.

The College is responsible for setting standards of training and administering examinations in Emergency Medicine for the award of Fellowship and Membership of the College as well as recommending trainees for CCT in Emergency Medicine. The PKD Charity seeks a motivated and experienced grants fundraiser to drive our income growth from trusts, foundations, corporate partners, and other grant-making bodies. With guidance from the CEO, you will play a key role in securing funding to expand the charity’s programs and increase our reach. 

Our mission is to improve the lives of those affected by polycystic kidney disease (PKD) through research, education, advocacy and support. PKD is one of the most common life-threatening genetic diseases, affecting about 70,000 adults and children in the UK. It causes kidney failure, affects other organs, reduces life expectancy and there is currently no cure. We are dedicated to finding new treatments and helping everyone with PKD have the best life they can.

This remote role can be worked from anywhere in the UK, ideally over 2 days Monday-Friday. The salary for the role is £29,000-£31,000 (pro rata £11,600- £12,400). 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Identify Funding Opportunities: Research trusts, foundations, and other funding bodies whose criteria align with PKD Charity’s work. Build a robust pipeline of potential funders. 

Craft Compelling Applications: Prepare, write, and submit high-quality, persuasive funding applications. Tailor proposals to meet each funder’s specific guidelines and highlight the charity’s unique impact. 

Data-Driven Case Development: Gather and analyse relevant information to create compelling cases for support, backed by data that showcases the impact of our programs. 

Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective funders, ensuring consistent communication, appreciation, and donor care to foster long-term engagement. 

Expand Funding Pool: Utilise sector knowledge to identify and approach new funders, increasing the charity’s income streams and securing diverse funding sources. 

Progress Tracking and Reporting: Provide regular updates to the CEO on application progress, successful funding, and potential new opportunities. Develop and manage systems to monitor deadlines, submissions, income received, and application status. 

Donor Communication: Ensure funders are kept informed about the charity’s work, including submitting progress reports and impact updates that highlight the value of their contributions. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other colleagues, especially service delivery and finance, to ensure that information sharing and reporting are aligned and effective. 

ABOUT YOU: 

Proven Experience: You have a strong background in fundraising, particularly in trust and foundation grants, and are comfortable working independently in a remote setting. 

Organised and Detail-Oriented: You excel at managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and paying close attention to detail. 

Collaborative Team Player: You are flexible and ready to contribute to various aspects of the charity's work, embracing a team spirit. 

Effective Communicator: You possess excellent writing skills for creating compelling grant applications and are skilled at nurturing funder relationships through clear and professional communication. 

Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRM systems and website management is a plus, as is a proactive approach to automating processes where possible.
