We are searching for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead our highly skilled, cross-disciplined, and diverse Software Engineering capability (c.25-30 staff including Front-End, Back-End, and Integration) which supports the charity's product development whilst establishing an agile, secure, and smooth-running digital workplace. The purpose of your role will be to deliver our software engineering strategy while providing technical leadership that develops the teams' skills and careers and encourages innovation by setting up small multi-skilled product teams empowered to make decisions and prioritise their work.

What will I be doing?
Leading Cancer Research UK's Software Engineering capability (c.25 to 30 staff) by:
Evolving and delivering the Software Engineering Strategy.

What skills will I need?
Experienced engineering leader who has recruited, developed, and engaged software engineering teams in large, complex organisations.
Excellent knowledge of the fast-moving technology landscape with a particular focus on cloud engineering and knowledge of:
Current best practices (e.g. BDD, CI/CD).
Architectural approaches and their future direction (e.g. modern front-end development/single-page applications, serverless services, infrastructure-as-code).
Full-stack JavaScript (React/Node JS) utilising AWS serverless services (e.g. Amplify, Lambda, Aurora).
A comprehensive understanding of the software delivery lifecycle and different approaches (including DevOps and Agile).
Has matured software engineering practices by retaining ambition and agility while establishing robust approaches fit for business-critical applications.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate highly technical subjects for non-technical audiences.
A technical expert and a motivational leader with mature stakeholder management skills.

The Corporate Partnership Officer - Morrisons will deliver effective and high-quality support to the Morrisons account management team, assisting with all areas of fundraising and event coordination. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial and supporter records, conducting research, and ensuring smooth operational processes within this major partnership. This role will be key in helping the partnership team raise circa £5 million annually for Marie Curie.

- Manage and coordinate mailings, certificates, newsletters, and fundraising packs for the Morrisons Partnership team.

The team have a strong track record in developing group creative therapeutic interventions, including the recent ‘Family Harmony’ intervention. We are seeking an experienced Systemic Psychotherapist to lead our adoption and special guardianship therapeutic support including multi-disciplinary assessments, and family interventions. The successful candidate will be an experienced systemic psychotherapist with a background in CAMHS and/or a social care service. They will be expected to take overall responsibility for family therapy interventions and to support the development of innovative projects as required.

About The Felix Project
The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.
The Felix Project is a dynamic, ambitious charity working to make London a city where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.
We rescue high quality, fresh and nutritious food that cannot be sold from nearly 500 suppliers including supermarkets, wholesalers, farms, restaurants and delis. We sort and deliver this food to charities, schools and community projects supporting London’s most vulnerable people.
This year we expect to rescue 13,000 tonnes of food to redistribute to more than 1,000 London frontline charities and primary schools in every borough of London. That’s enough food to make more than 30 million meals.
The Felix Project is growing fast in response to huge demand. Set up in 2016, we now have around 160 staff working alongside 8,500 volunteers. We have four main operating depots spread across London - in Deptford, Enfield, Park Royal and Poplar. We’re committed to ensuring our different teams work hand-in-hand, so our main hot-desking spaces are built into these depots.
Alongside our large-scale, depot-based operations we have green ‘point-to-point' food redistribution projects in central London and Canary Wharf. In Poplar, we operate a commercial Kitchen which uses surplus food to cater for up to 5,000 individual meals per day.
Purpose of the Job
The Recruitment and HR Operations Manager will report direct to the Head of People and lead the end-to-end recruitment and HR operations for our organisation. This role combines the strategic elements of recruitment with operational HR responsibilities, including payroll oversight, HR systems management, and occasionally employee relations support. This role will be line managing the People Officer and People Administrator, who will provide support on the below functions.
Duties and Accountabilities
Recruitment
- Ensure that end-to-end recruitment is completed for roles across all levels of the organisation; including creating recruitment campaigns and plans
- Overseeing job board accounts
- Develop and execute innovative talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Partner with department managers to understand their hiring needs and provide guidance throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies as needed to support hiring goals.
HR Operations
- Oversee HR operations to ensure efficient and compliant HR processes, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee record maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and internal policies.
- Drive improvements in HR processes and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.
Payroll Management
- Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll distribution.
- Coordinate with the Finance Department and the People Officer to resolve payroll-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legal requirements and organisational policies.
HR Systems and Database Oversight
- Oversee databases, ensuring data integrity and security
- Ensure external website, intranet, and SharePoint HR pages are updated and contain most up-to-date information.
Other
- Provide support for ER cases as needed, collaborating with the HR Advisor to ensure fair and consistent application of policies.
- Support the Learning and Development Advisor in development and administration function of training of our staff
- Support HR leadership in fostering a positive workplace culture
- Any other duties as directly by the senior leadership team.

Project Assistant
Leicester Cathedral is looking to appoint a Project Assistant, as part of the Leicester Cathedral Revealed (LCR) project.
Following the ‘soft launch’ of the Cathedral in November 2023, we are working towards the full re-opening – including the new Heritage & Learning Centre – and a new inspiring phase of activity to include a full and stimulating programme of events for all audiences, whilst maintaining the Cathedral’s core purpose of worship, welcome, and witness.

- Managing projects, campaigns and research into wellbeing issues and practices
- Developing global relationships internally and externally to enhance and deliver the wellbeing strategy
- Developing internal digital content for wellbeing
- Line managing the Wellbeing Administrator

Contract type: This is a part time role working 24.5 hours per week and is a fixed term, 12 month maternity contract (open to compressed hours). The full time salary is £37,685 per annum and the part time salary is £26,380 per annum.
