Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with the National Leadership Team representative for national events, you will manage the events team to deliver excellent service and event support for all New Wine events. This exciting role involves overseeing all aspects of event production, from content development to logistics and delegate management. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the strategic vision and goals of the events are realised, delivering an outstanding experience for global audiences. 

The Events Team exists to support New Wine delegates, volunteers, and staff with the initial planning, coordination, and delivery of all New Wine events held throughout the year. This includes two annual national events, the New Wine Festival and the New Wine Leadership Conference, as well as a number of smaller events such as the Reset Women’s Conference, Worship Nights, and Network Days. 

Areas of Responsibility:

Event Team Leadership: 

• Line manage, train, and develop the events team, which consists of 5 individuals (one vacant), 3 of whom are direct reports. 

• Motivate the team, communicating effectively and building relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders and partners. 

• Set appropriate goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), managing them effectively to drive activity and performance. 

• Join the core team in regular meetings, updating and chairing event specific discussions.  

• Coordinating with other departments to rethink processes and strategy. 
   

Event Planning: 

• Manage and oversee the New Wine events calendar to ensure that events are planned in a coordinated manner.

• Liaise with specific event leadership teams to determine the vision, goals, and requirements for each New Wine event. 

• Set up and chair event planning meetings for national events, monitoring that planning is on schedule and within budget. 

• Support Event Managers in the planning and delivery of smaller events. 

• Manage external consultants and professionals who support with delivery of events including Production Project Manager and Technical Production Manager. 
   

Event Delivery: 

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. 

• Oversee the production, delegate and team experience on-site at any New Wine event. This includes managing the Production Project manager, front desk service team and back-office functions such as ticketing, accommodation, village allocation, telephone and email response, and volunteer team leader oversight and engagement.

People’s Economy aims to build the agency and power of people facing injustice and working for social change so that they have the expertise, capabilities and resources to develop their own analysis of how the economic system is a root cause of the injustice they face, develop strategies to change it and then take action with others. Our vision is for a world with economies that meet the needs and priorities of people currently experiencing economic injustice.

The Head of Training will lead People’s Economy’s overall approach to training providing strong oversight and ownership over: turning economic analysis content and our community economic education framework into engaging and accessible training; individual workshop and learning journey design; our pedagogical approach to learning; and our unique facilitation approach. Leading People’s Economy’s approach to training

• With support from the Programme Director, lead the development of People’s Economy’s approach to training and workshops to create an approach and set of standards to be applied across the organisation.
• Stay abreast of developments in training best practice across similar organisations and use this knowledge to further develop People’s Economy’s training approach.
• Develop resources (e.g. types of training exercises) that can be used across People’s Economy’s training work
• Support colleagues and freelancers to implement People’s Economy’s training approach, including through delivering ‘train the trainer’ training and creating learning resources
• Work with the Programme Director to create processes to oversee the quality and delivery of all of People’s Economy’s training
• Lead on monitoring and evaluation of, and learning from, People’s Economy’s training work ensuring that it informs the subsequent development of training
• With support from the Programme Director create and implement plans to build and maintain our training infrastructure and increase our training capacity.

Training for Changemakers

• With support from the Programme Director, design and develop our training offer.
• Lead the implementation of training, including: ○ Work with the Head of Community to develop processes to recruit and onboard changemakers to training opportunities ○ Design training workshops, working in accordance with People’s Economy’s community education framework and principles ○ Oversee the delivery of training workshops facilitated by other staff and freelancers

Develop paid training work

• With support from the Programme Director, take a strategic approach to identifying and developing opportunities to undertake paid training work that can both meet People’s Economy’s goals and generate unrestricted income for the organisation
• Hold key relationships, as agreed with the Programme Director, with organisations and individuals who are current and potential clients for paid training work

Supporting other work strands

• Feed in from a training perspective to the development of People’s Economy’s changemaker community of practice led by the Head of Community
• Feed in from a training perspective to the development and implementation of the organisational communications strategy

Managing projects and people

• Work with the Head of People and Operations to recruit and manage a pool of freelancer Associate Trainers to help deliver People’s Economy’s training work, and lead the training of freelancers to do this work
• Manage freelancers contributing to People’s Economy’s training work and any staff roles which (in future) report to Head of Training
• Manage (or contribute to) non-programme projects that contribute to achieving People’s Economy’s goals, as agreed with the Programme Director

About the role

It’s been an exciting year for the CoppaFeel! Marketing team; we’ve had a brand refresh, onboarded new agencies, launched award winning campaigns and grown a partnership with Love Island. We are looking for an exceptional Head of Content who will be responsible for the management, production and strategic placement of all organic content across CoppaFeel!’s channels. You will help shape CoppaFeel!’s approach to content so that it appeals, resonates with and converts 18 - 24 year olds across digital and social channels.

You will work alongside other Heads of Dept, bringing your expertise and knowledge to leadership discussions to help shape the future of the organisation.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.

You will report to the Marketing Director and line manage the Social Manager and Digital Marketing Manager, and you will have exposure to the Senior Management Team.

The role

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work as a valued part of the CoppaFeel! leadership team to deliver the organisational strategy, shape the culture and influence cross departmental ways of working
• Develop a holistic, strategic content approach to digital and social channels (including creators and gaming) that will enhance the annual marketing strategy and drive awareness of CoppaFeel! and our mission amongst 18 - 24 year olds.
• Responsible for creating innovative content that’s insight driven and market leading.
• Put production plans and processes in place that allow us to have year round ‘always on’ organic content (web, email, social).
• Lead and inspire creativity across the organisation with a view to becoming social first in everything we do.
• Work with Digital Marketing Manager to audit CoppaFeel!’s website and third party agencies to research, plan and execute Search Engine Optimisation strategies.
• Establish standards, systems, best practices, and workflow processes for managing the content lifecycle, including requesting, producing, distributing, channel selection, measuring, and retiring content.
• Collaborate with our operations team as we adopt a new CRM database.
• Ensure all content is consistent with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
• Line manage the Social Media Manager and Digital Marketing Manager.

• Proven ability to secure multi-year funding commitments.

• Familiarity with open-source technology and its impact on social good.

• Strong strategic vision with the ability to adapt and respond to changing circumstances.

• Experience with multi-channel fundraising, including corporate partnerships, grants, and individual giving.

Important details

Jangala’s office is based in London and operates a remote-first working policy. Travel to our London office will be required for mind-mapping and collaborative work at least once a week.

The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Marketing & Digital Engagement to lead our efforts in inspiring, engaging, and empowering communities, volunteers, and supporters across the UK. This is a critical new role, focused on implementing and operationalising our new strategy, enhancing our reach, and building the foundations for our future growth. The role offers the opportunity to lead the development of Trees for Cities’ first national digital engagement strategy, ensuring we build strong connections with communities and supporters through creative campaigns and digital platforms.

Architecture charity, AzuKo is working to end housing poverty in Bangladesh and the UK. We’re looking for an individual who has experience in a multidisciplinary hands-on leadership role, within the charity sector.

• Role: Head of Operations (maternity cover)
• Location: Remote, UK
• Time: Part-time (2 days per week) for 6 months, with possibility of extension to 1 year

ROLE OVERVIEW
The right candidate will have a strong focus on charity administration and development, financial stability, thinking creatively about opportunities for income, and be a passionate advocate for housing justice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure AzuKo’s operations and programme delivery are implemented efficiently and effectively.
• Be responsible for overall financial health and administration of AzuKo.
• Ensure AzuKo fulfils its legal, statutory, and regulatory responsibilities.
• Monitor progress towards strategic goals, plans and budgets.
• Inspire and lead an effective remote team, with a common sense of purpose, division of responsibility, transparency, and accountability.
• Work with the Development Officer to drive fundraising (trusts and foundations, and individual giving), innovating approaches towards existing and new supporters, with regular reviews of fundraising pipeline.
• Maintain accurate and transparent records, and filing systems.
• Consult with the Chair and Treasurer, providing regular updates on finance/fundraising, and progress against annual plan.
• Foster good communication internally within AzuKo, and externally.
• Contribute to AzuKo storytelling.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential

• Demonstrable track record of operating at leadership level (CEO, or similar) within a small-medium size charity.
• Comprehensive understanding of UK charity administration, finance and regulatory responsibilities (e.g. Charity Commission).
• Experience of working strategically to source, secure and steward sustainable funding (grant income and individual giving) working within tight financial constraints.
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and processes, safety, and quality management.
• Comfortable with digital/remote working e.g. use of One Drive, Slack, Zoom.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel) and accounting software Xero.
• Excellent written and communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas in simple language.
• Passionate about the charity sector, and AzuKo’s cause.

Desirable

• Knowledge of housing issues/poverty, international development and/or women’s rights.
• Experience of securing and managing large multi-year grants for international development.
• Experience of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

You will work closely with our CEO and Treasurer to take responsibility for the overall financial sustainability of the organisation. This means focusing on accurate and timely accounting of our charity’s finances, the delivery of actual results in line with budget, timely identification of financial risks and proper financial procedures. Moreover, you will have the opportunity of working with our CEO and Senior Leadership Team to develop an overall strategy for the organisation with a corresponding financial plan.
