Head Of Events And Community Fundraising Jobs in Home Based
Turn2us is a national charity tackling poverty and the structural causes of financial insecurity. We work with people who have current or recent experience of financial hardship and partners to provide people in financial crisis with the means and agency to get back on their feet, build resilience, move forward with their lives and thrive.
As an equal opportunities employer, we are committed to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging and the value people from different backgrounds bring to a team. If, like us, you believe everyone has the right to have enough to live on, and you are ambitious about eradicating poverty, join us and build your career with a charity dedicated to ensuring dignity and equity for all.
Our vision is that everyone in the UK has financial security so they can thrive.
Our purpose is to offer support to those of us facing financial shocks and together challenge the systems and perceptions that cause financial insecurity.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of People and Culture will work in a spirit of mutual accountability with fellow directors, taking strategic leadership of Turn2us’s People and Culture Directorate. You’ll have responsibility for strengthening our culture and supporting all our people managers to attract, develop and retain colleagues who are committed to our values and guiding principles.
You will take proactive leadership of our Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) work across the organisation so that we can become more inclusive and diverse, as well as oversee our approach to co-production, making sure that we centre the voices and insights of people with experience of financial insecurity in the design of all our work. Importantly, you will also provide rigorous oversight of our approach to safeguarding and our broader approaches to governance, risk, and compliance across the group – which includes our wholly owned care home business, Elizabeth Finn Homes.
This is a challenging but immensely rewarding role that will work across all parts of our organisation, helping to shape how we work internally and externally, and make a genuine lasting difference to people facing financial insecurities.
About You
We are looking for an authentic and inspiring leader who brings significant experience of developing and implementing people and culture strategies, and of aligning those strategies to the organisation’s vision and values. You will share our unwavering commitment to EDIB, and bring a track record of driving meaningful change within an organisation so that it can become more inclusive and diverse.
You will bring high levels of compassion, empathy and emotional intelligence, able to build trust at all levels while being comfortable with constructive debate. You will have a curious mindset, continuously seeking out new learning opportunities for yourself and our organisation, and an enthusiasm for building new networks.
While experience of working within a charity would be beneficial, we are also keen to hear from candidates who bring transferable experience from other sectors. We know that Turn2us will benefit from leaders with new perspectives and ways of thinking, so we’re actively encouraging broad interest from impactful leaders who bring transferable skills. More importantly is a clear alignment with our organisational values and a passion for supporting people facing financial hardship.
We are always eager to receive approaches from people with lived experience of financial insecurity. If you can demonstrate a clear commitment to our values and ethos, and a deep personal commitment to our vision, we’d love to hear from you.

As a team you’ll work to build a data platform that helps the organisation achieve its goals. That means giving colleagues timely and valuable insights, and building systems and models to help automate and optimise our marketing and campaigning work.

What we're looking for
-
Experience in using Salesforce CRM as an administrator
-
Experience in developing reporting, incorporating multiple criteria based on ever changing requirements
-
Experience analysing data
-
Experience using data management tools and techniques including Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulae, data manipulation and presentation)

What we do
- Good Law Project (GLP) is a not-for-profit campaigning organisation which holds power to account and fights for a fairer, greener future. We believe in people-powered justice.
-
We had a primary role in overturning the prorogation of Parliament in 2019. We successfully challenged the Government’s operation of a fast track ‘VIP lane’ for awarding lucrative PPE contracts to those with political connections and our campaigning played a key role in the Met Police opening an investigation into Boris Johnson over the Partygate scandal. In July 2023, we forced the Government to accept that its flagship Net Zero strategy is unlawful and to develop a better plan.
-
Our close-knit team of staff work across three core areas: campaigning, legal and operations. We are nimble and reactive to external events which means Good Law Project suits people who thrive in a fast-paced, at times quite pressured environment. You must share our passion for upholding democracy, protecting the environment and ensuring no one is left behind. Our culture is one of openness and innovation which encourages all staff to pitch ideas and influence the organisation’s direction. We are brave, honest and decisive – those are Good Law Project’s values. We recognise the value of our employees, individually and collectively, and are committed to investing in their welfare and development.

We’re looking for a Team Support Officer and PA to provide PA support to our Director of Programmes and provide administrative support to the Programmes team’s delivery of work. Maudsley Charity – Team Support Officer and PA
Location: Denmark Hill, London (and home working)
Salary: £33,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits
Contract: Permanent
Our small, ambitious team works in a collaborative and supportive way. A big focus of the role is prioritisation and planning, so you’ll support the Director of Programmes, Head of Impact & Effectiveness and wider team to prioritise, forward plan, manage diaries and prepare for meetings. This is a great role for someone wanting to develop their administrative experience and exposure to board and executive level working. You will have responsibility for supporting a Trustee level grant making committee. You’ll get exposure to the strategic overview of the Charity and insight into managing teams, grant-making and charity operations. You’ll quickly see the impact you can make within the team to improve our effectiveness and ways of working; and what we’re working to achieve as a charity.
Maudsley Charity works primarily with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London, as well as a range of voluntary and community organisations to fund ideas, big and small, that drive service improvement and support people who experience mental illness.
The Charity operates primarily within the four boroughs served by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark), but the work we fund has the potential for wider impact at both national and international levels, through the sharing of the outcomes with the wider mental health community. The Charity is committed to ongoing development and learning about how to make an impact. Find out more about our change model that underpins our way of working.
We are based in our vibrant offices in the Ortus Centre, Denmark Hill; a great place to work and hold events. We offer a friendly working culture, with the following benefits for our staff (just to name a few):

- 25 days annual leave, with a further one day after 3 years’ service and a further one day after 5 years’ service. Plus, additional non-working office closure days over the Christmas period.
- Pension scheme with up to 6% employer contribution, subject to a minimum 3% employee contribution.
Maudsley Charity is an equal opportunities employer and makes no discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and sex. We are committed to offering interviews to candidates who meet the role requirements and have lived experience of mental illness.

What is Jamie’s Farm?
Jamie’s Farm is a charity that supports young people by combining therapeutic work, farming, and purposeful activities to help them thrive. Through residential visits to our working farms, we provide a nurturing environment where young people can reflect, build confidence, and develop the resilience they need to overcome personal challenges.
More about the role:
As Therapeutic Coordinator, you will oversee the therapeutic aspects of up to four visits from schools and similar organisations to our farm per month, providing one-on-one support to young people facing significant challenges. Your expertise will guide both individual sessions and group discussions, fostering a safe space for personal growth. Collaborating with visiting staff, you will ensure each young person receives the care they need, both during and after their time on the farm.
Beyond therapeutic sessions, you will create detailed progress reports and contribute to the immersive farm experience, leading walks, evening activities, and mealtime conversations. This hands-on approach will help strengthen relationships with young people, allowing them to feel supported and empowered throughout their journey with us.
