We are seeking a part-time Head of Finance to join our Operational Leadership Team (OLT) for three days a week.

You will have a compassionate heart and be deeply motivated by your evangelical Christian faith, with a passion to serve your persecuted family in Christ.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Direct Marketing and Fundraising Officer to join our Public Fundraising team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our fundraising activities, particularly during appeals, where your coordination skills will be crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

Appeal Coordination:

• Assist the Direct Marketing Manager - Acquisition in keeping member agency fundraising directors and key suppliers up to date in the run-up to and during appeals.
• Update the fundraising and marketing team budget tracker, ensuring accurate financial tracking throughout the appeal process.
• Support the setup and management of Appeal Toolkits and Appeal Hubs, providing essential assets to staff, member agencies, and suppliers.
• Assist with the coordination and delivery of creative projects across all direct marketing channels, ensuring timely and effective execution.
• Work with the team to gather and report appeal results, providing updates to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Executive Team, and CEO’s office.

 Ongoing Responsibilities:

• Organize and manage review meetings with suppliers’ post-appeal, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
• Monitor and update core and appeal budgets, processing invoices and ensuring financial accuracy.
• Support the Director of Fundraising and Marketing in organizing and managing the Fundraising Director’s Group meetings, including diary coordination, preparing presentations, and taking minutes.
• Provide general administrative support to the Fundraising and Marketing team, including setting up monthly team meetings, organizing agendas, and coordinating away days.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience in project coordination and administrative support, ideally within a fundraising or marketing environment.

Breast Cancer Now are excited to recruit the new role of fundraising compliance officer to support its growing fundraising ambitions. As our fundraising compliance officer, you will play an essential role in ensuring our fundraising and marketing activities meet the highest standards in an ever-changing regulatory landscape, to mitigate potential risks for the charity and to maintain the trust of our supporters.

About you

The successful candidate will possess a blend of technical knowledge, analytical skills, interpersonal abilities and a keen eye for detail to ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies.

The ideal candidate will have some prior understanding of charity fundraising and the needs of working in an assurance role, but training can be provided.  Prior knowledge some data protection legislation and fundraising regulations would also be beneficial, such as the data protection act, fundraising code of practice, CAP code, gambling commission code, and HMRC gift aid rules. You will also be self-motivated and have an eagerness to learn and develop in line with the ever-changing regulatory landscape and the charities needs and goals.  

Ideal attributes of a candidate include an analytical mind, with the ability to review information, ask questions and make informed decisions to support the charity to meet its objectives, whilst also mitigating unnecessary risk.

You will be an approachable, confident and clear communicator, that can adapt your communication stye to a verity of audiences in order to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner, that is both educational and builds productive relationships with colleagues.

Excellent organisation and IT skills are also essential tools of a potential candidate, as the role will require effective task prioritisation to manage an active schedule, record management of compliance registers and folders, plus the analysis and production of detailed guidance procedures and reports.

About the role

The Digital Fundraising Manager is a key member of the Philanthropy team, responsible for planning, implementing, and optimising digital fundraising campaigns in the UK and US. This role will drive revenue growth through online channels, including email campaigns, social media, website fundraising, and other digital initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital fundraising tactics, a creative mindset, and the ability to analyse data to make informed decisions.

You’ll report to our Head of Fundraising - setting your strategy, reporting on whether plans and income are on track, and discussing how you’re dealing with any financial shortfalls, with a mindset focused on significantly expanding our unrestricted income streams.

In 2024/25 the Fundraising Team is aiming to raise circa £1.9m – a critical element of Restless Development’s overall income of around £10m, the rest of which primarily comes from institutional funders and trusts/ foundations and is restricted to particular programmatic work.

Key responsibilities

• Digital Fundraising Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital fundraising strategy aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives. Identify key digital fundraising opportunities and implement strategies to optimise online giving.
• Email Marketing: Create and manage email campaigns, including crafting compelling content, designing engaging emails, segmenting lists, and conducting A/B testing to increase donor engagement and conversions.

Job Summary

The SLF team looks after all supporters choosing to fundraise for Anthony Nolan through Challenge Events, Community Fundraising and those taking part in our products. This role leads the product stream and manages a team of 4 to create, test and deliver new fundraising products, and stewards all the supporters taking them on. The role also manages two of the SLF assistants who work to welcome all supporters to Anthony Nolan, and assist on the delivery of the Challenge Events and Community programmes.

ROLE OVERVIEW
The right candidate will have a strong focus on charity administration and development, financial stability, thinking creatively about opportunities for income, and be a passionate advocate for housing justice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure AzuKo’s operations and programme delivery are implemented efficiently and effectively.
• Be responsible for overall financial health and administration of AzuKo.
• Ensure AzuKo fulfils its legal, statutory, and regulatory responsibilities.
• Monitor progress towards strategic goals, plans and budgets.
• Inspire and lead an effective remote team, with a common sense of purpose, division of responsibility, transparency, and accountability.
• Work with the Development Officer to drive fundraising (trusts and foundations, and individual giving), innovating approaches towards existing and new supporters, with regular reviews of fundraising pipeline.
• Maintain accurate and transparent records, and filing systems.
• Consult with the Chair and Treasurer, providing regular updates on finance/fundraising, and progress against annual plan.
• Foster good communication internally within AzuKo, and externally.
• Contribute to AzuKo storytelling.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential

• Demonstrable track record of operating at leadership level (CEO, or similar) within a small-medium size charity.
• Comprehensive understanding of UK charity administration, finance and regulatory responsibilities (e.g. Charity Commission).
• Experience of working strategically to source, secure and steward sustainable funding (grant income and individual giving) working within tight financial constraints.
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and processes, safety, and quality management.
• Comfortable with digital/remote working e.g. use of One Drive, Slack, Zoom.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel) and accounting software Xero.
• Excellent written and communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas in simple language.
• Passionate about the charity sector, and AzuKo’s cause.

Desirable

• Knowledge of housing issues/poverty, international development and/or women’s rights.
• Experience of securing and managing large multi-year grants for international development.
• Experience of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

Child Bereavement UK helps children and young people (up to the age of 25) and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.

The Role
