Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. Our expectation for this role is that you will come to London 1 or 2 days each week for meetings, including a quarterly ‘all staff’ event. We encourage all colleagues to visit member hospices to help inform our work and you may be able to work from there.

Contractually this role is London-based.

Job Information

As Data Programme Manager, you’ll use your project and programme management skills to successfully deliver projects which improve Hospice UK’s data capabilities. You don’t need to have technical data skills, but you’ll need to be able to guide technical colleagues and third-party IT and data providers.

Your main project will produce a new Member Data Portal, enabling over 200 member hospices to submit data and view insights and analysis that informs their service offer, whilst also providing a national view of hospice care that Hospice UK will use to support member hospices with national campaigning and fundraising.

Alongside this, you will lead data projects that improve our internal performance management. This will involve working with colleagues to gather requirements and develop reporting that supports effective decision making, developing new policies and procedures, and providing training.

Excellent stakeholder management skills will be key to your success. Working with representatives from our member hospices will be vital to the success of the Member Data Portal project. Internally, you’ll collaborate with colleagues at all levels, including the ICT and Data team who will provide technical expertise, and senior managers who will be customers for many of the projects. You’ll also work with external suppliers of technical products and services, including carrying out procurements where needed.

You’ll have great project management skills, which means you’ll be organised, structured and a pragmatic problem solver. Ideally, you’ll have experience of delivering technology, digital or data projects.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Community Outreach Manager to manage and expand our outreach efforts. The Community Outreach Manager will be responsible for leading a team to deliver Betknowmore UK's Community Outreach services, engaging with local communities, and supporting individuals impacted by gambling harms. 

This is a key leadership role that involves overseeing the service’s strategy, operations, and delivery, ensuring that services are accessible, effective, and meet the needs of diverse communities.

• Ensure that all outreach services meet organisational standards, as well as external regulatory requirements

5. Stakeholder Engagement and Networking:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including community organizations, local authorities, and support services.
• Represent Betknowmore UK at community events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with other service lines within the organization to ensure a holistic approach to supporting individuals with gambling-related harm.

About Sebby’s Corner

Sebby's Corner is based in Barnet, EN5 and our aim is to ensure that no child goes without the basic essentials they need to thrive. We supply items such as clothing, nappies, formula and baby equipment to local families living in poverty. Families in need get referred to us by social workers, health visitors, family support workers, midwives and other professionals from our 800-strong referral partner network.

We also offer school uniform support in the summer and a Birthday Club that ensures children have the chance to celebrate with gifts, balloons and a cake. At Christmas, we host a festive shop where families can choose presents for their children, giving children the chance to have a Christmas just like their peers.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities

Service Delivery

• Guiding families during their New Parent Baby Essentials Experience appointment, helping them choose the items they need for their baby. Ensure clients feel supported and empowered when choosing items.
• Coordinate logistics, appointments, stock, and setup for our two seasonal services within a set timeline and budget - Christmas Support and School Uniform Support.
• Manage booking system across our services
• Ensure families and referral partners have a welcoming and respectful experience at the hub.
• Support complex referrals and work alongside the Referrals Coordinator to meet urgent or sensitive needs.
• Supporting our Referrals Co-ordinator with the Essentials Support service during busy periods to ensure families and referral partners who are collecting receive a positive and dignified experience and receive the items they requested.

Impact & Evaluation

• Gather and respond to feedback from families and volunteers to improve future service delivery.
• Provide reporting and statistics for impact reporting.

Referral Partner Engagement

• Act as a main point of contact for referral partners and schools.
• Onboarding new referral partners by providing clear information about service criteria, availability, and referral processes.
• Deliver briefings, training sessions, and guidance materials to improve referral quality and understanding.

Signposting & Partnerships

• Help families access additional support by providing signposting to trusted local services.
• Maintain a regularly updated resource list on the website and collaborate with partners to expand support options.
• Promote and lead on our Service Delivery partnerships such as educational workshops with Parent Learning Platform and antenatal classes with All About Babies and encourage family engagement.

Safeguarding

• Serve as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and first point of contact for all safeguarding concerns. Make onward safeguarding referrals via MASH where necessary.

What we can offer

Salary and pension
The salary range for this role is £30,000 - £34,000 FTE per annum (gross), dependent on experience and pro-rated if you work part-time. If eligible to join the pension scheme, we will match your contributions by 5%.

Annual leave
You will be entitled to 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time roles). We usually close between Christmas and New Year without this time coming off your annual leave allowance.

About This Role

Over the next three years, Smart Works Leeds want to expand and embed the service we offer within the Bradford district. Reaching unemployed women in Bradford is integral to our mission of increasing the number of women we support in 2025 and beyond.

Thanks to a successful grant application from Yorkshire Building Society Foundation, we now have the funding to expand the team and enhance our strategy. We are looking for a Bradford Outreach Lead to join us and support this exciting growth.

The Outreach Lead will work collaboratively with the Outreach Manager and will involve engaging new referral partners ensuring that they aware of the support available. Referral partners may be charities, job centres, community organisations or work programme providers. By attending meetings, events and employment fairs the Outreach Lead will share the service Smart Works offers and ensure the women who will benefit from the appointments are referred. The role will also involve delivering workshops to unemployed women across Bradford in various settings and managing a cohort of volunteers to help support these.

Purpose of the role:  

Volunteers are the backbone of our operation at FSSW, we recruit over 350 volunteers from a myriad of backgrounds, who make up around 90% of our team. The volunteers help with every aspect of the operation from driving our vans, picking orders to administrative duties.  They gift their time to FSSW for many reasons including wanting to be part of the solution to food waste, ensuring perfectly good in-date surplus reaches people in need, giving back to their local community or some are looking for professional and/or personal development.

We have built a volunteer programme which supports a wide demographic of people. This role will primarily lead on: 

Rota and Data Management 

• Work with the Warehouse Managers and the wider FSSW team to ensure the roles advertised reflect the needs of the operation 

• Work with the Volunteer Recruitment Manager to ensure the rota is filled and monitor patterns, themes or fluctuations.

• Attend any required meetings with the operations team around volunteer roles, rota, and retention.

• Ensure the CRM system (Salesforce) is kept up to date

• Maintain volunteer information and confidentiality, ensuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding policies 

Recruitment and Retention Support 

• Support the Volunteer recruitment manager in aspects of the recruitment process including responding to enquiries, inductions and developing the volunteer retention and recruitment plan.

• Work with the wider FSSW team to support and develop volunteering opportunities for corporate supporters and food partners 

• Work with the Head of Department, volunteering team & employability teams to feed into volunteer and employability programmes

Communications

• Respond to/answer any enquiries/communications via telephone, email, in person or via inhouse IT/systems

What will you be doing?

• Leading the Challenging Lives programme strategy - Identifying and managing partnership opportunities to drive charitable impact and trading revenue as well as championing and broadening the impact of YHAs Breaks programme, and developing partnerships and programmes with synergistic organisation.
• You'll build effective relationships, identifying and managing relationships with key charity partners as well as conducting periodical reviews of processes and best practise, setting mutually agreed targets.
• Delivering YHA’s Breaks programme, building relationships with beneficiary organisations, co-designing programmes with them to meet the needs of young people. You will also attend and present the Breaks programme at supporter engagement events as and when required.
• Ensuring all programmes and activities are suitable and impactful for beneficiaries and that due diligence is applied.
• You will build and identify relationships with organisations and businesses to further YHA’s charitable trading interests for example home education network groups, uniformed groups and non-education youth groups.
• Coordinating and facilitating summer camps programmes with the Army, Navy, RAF, and agree activities and ensure special requirements are adhered to and communicated with internal teams providing a full debrief post-delivery.
• Ensuring engagement and buying from key internal stakeholders through robust internal communication processes.
• You'll lead the programme process, coordinating the capture of impact and providing evidence of the Breaks programme to the fundraising team to enable them to report funders. You'll also manage the Breaks programme application process and coordinate the decision panel, keep the Breaks P&L up to date with spend allocation in accordance with the funders wish and or restrictions, managing the customer journey for all Breaks customers and provide accurate content to ensure that the website and all publications are kept up to date and engaging.

What Skills and Experience do you need?

We are looking for candidates with the following qualities:

• Experience of developing partnerships and commercial relationships, ideally at a national level
• Excellent communication skills with ability to build strong internal relationships with key internal stakeholders and experience of influencing at Senior and Executive management level
• Broad knowledge and understanding of YHA’s customer base, education & youth programmes / and wider charity sector
• Excellent organisational skills involving planning, prioritising and proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously, bringing each to completion on time
• Experience of developing and monitoring budgets and KPIs.

 The Advocacy Academy is an activist youth movement. We serve as the political home for grassroots youth organising and the catalyst for collective action. The lives of the young people we work alongside have been directly shaped by living in an unjust world, and we exist to turn their anger into action.

Young people are often the catalysts for major social change, from the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee at the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, to the Soweto Uprising mobilising young people to resist the apartheid regime's education policies, to the Sunrise Movement redrawing the electoral map across America, and more recently encampments and protests across the world protesting the genocide in Palestine. How successfully they achieve real and lasting change depends on whether they are organised and whether they have the right strategy and tactics to be effective.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and organised Junior Events Officer to take ownership of a portfolio of mass participation events, including major running and challenge events such as the Chicago Marathon, Berlin Marathon, and other international and UK-based challenges.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the events team and will be responsible for the full lifecycle of their events, from planning and participant recruitment to stewardship and post-event evaluation.

Key Responsibilities  

• Organise a portfolio of events, ensuring high-quality execution and supporter engagement.
• Recruit and steward participants, providing excellent supporter care to ensure a positive experience and maximise fundraising potential.
• Coordinate logistics and planning, including liaising with event organisers, suppliers and venues.
• Support the recruitment and engagement of event participants, volunteers, and suppliers.
• Creating digital and physical marketing materials on Canva.
• Use event management systems to track participants, maintain accurate records, and ensure effective communication.

• Provide administrative support for event-related tasks, including the general event inbox, supporting handling incoming phone calls, and providing a professional and welcoming first point of contact for supporters.

Overall Purpose

Assist in the preparation, production, and distribution of regular newsletters, including maintaining the mailing list database.

Assist in posting content on social media platforms.

Executive Board Assistance

Work with the CEO to prepare and manage quarterly Board meetings for Foundation, and as required, other partners (including JCT)

Prepare for meetings, including compiling and distributing board papers, managing meeting dates and availability, and ensuring logistical arrangements.

Take accurate minutes and provide general administrative support for Board level members, always ensuring strict confidentiality.

Regularly update and maintain Board requirements, including EDI data, references, annual Conflict of Interest declarations, DBS checks, and other governance related documentation including Foundation Training log and Policy changes.

Provide administrative support to the Chair of Trustees as required, ensuring they have the necessary documentation, scheduling support, and other assistance to fulfil their role effectively.

Events and PR

Assist with organising events to showcase the Foundation’s work, including functions for donors, potential donors, community and voluntary groups.

Representing BLCF

Work as an effective Ambassador for the Foundation always, including at events and external networking.

Engage with the UK Community Foundation peer network to ensure the best practice is shared from across the sector

Experience

Demonstrable experience of using online file managements systems (e.g. SharePoint) to manage data and information relating to an organisations core systems, policies and processes. 

Experience in working at Board or senior levels with supporting administration and issues in a confidential manner.

Experience of working under pressure while effectively collaborating across teams to achieve objectives.

Experience in administrative work, including managing tasks efficiently and supporting operational processes.

Some understanding of the wider voluntary and charity sector. (D)  

Skills & Abilities

Excellent computer and administration skills, with experience using Word, Canva (or comparable design tools), Excel, PowerPoint, and databases such as Salesforce.

Demonstrably highly organised, capable of juggling projects and tasks, delivering structured plans, and adapting quickly to changing circumstances.

A self-starter, able to act on own initiative, organise, plan, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

Demonstrable and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a small team and provide cross-functional support.

Ability to maintain strict confidentially and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Good time keeping skills and effective time management skills, ensuring deadlines and commitments are met.

Ability to collate and access information to produce clear and concise reports. (D)

Demonstrable skills in minute taking at a Board, senior or Executive level.
