It’s an exciting time to join War Child as they have just launched their new Alliance initiative. The War Child Alliance brings together the five War Child fundraising members (in the Netherlands, UK, Germany and Sweden, plus Children in Conflict in the US), with 14 programme members, based in and around conflict-affected areas across the world and coordinated by a new international body: the War Child Alliance Foundation. Through the Alliance they are integrating programme activities under one umbrella – allowing War Child to combine strengths and pool resources – all with the aim to multiply impact for conflict-affected children.
As part of the Trusts and Institutional funding team of four you’ll work alongside the Head of Trusts and Institutional, Trusts Manager and Trusts Executive, and be line managed by the new Trusts and Institutional Funding Lead.
Your key objective is to provide operational, administrative and analytical support to the team to grow income and enable War Child to deliver quality programmes. You’ll ensure compliance with quality and donor requirements, contribute to effective risk management, provide support for the different donor accounts and ensure processes and systems are in place, implemented and efficient.
The role requires proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
About the role
- Develop donor profiles by conducting research on potential donors, including their funding focus, giving history, and connections to War Child.
- Plan and prepare meetings with donors by collaborating with senior colleagues and stakeholders to determine strategic objectives and key messages.
- Monitor and share potential funding opportunities with the relevant Donor Account Managers within the Trusts and Institutional Funding team.
- Support the implementation of internal grant management processes.

What the role looks like
The Financial Education Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting and onboarding schools to embed our free financial education resources into primary school classrooms. You will have an excellent understanding of the challenges and pressures that exist within a primary school environment. You will be able to generate enthusiasm for financial education, as well as develop strong relationships with schools and other project collaborators. You will achieve this by proactively researching, networking, and making connections with schools in London and the Southeast region. You will speak to stakeholders, including teachers and school leadership, to promote our programme. Once they have registered, you will then train the teachers and school staff on how to incorporate our resources flexibly into their classrooms. The Financial Education Delivery Coordinator will need to work flexibly with each school to best meet their needs, according to our policies and guidelines. Reporting the progress of the various programmes is a key part of the role and the ability to collate data, identify risks, and meet deadlines is crucial.
As a part of the broader Programmes and Innovation department, this role is a creative opportunity to develop new ideas and ways of delivering financial literacy to primary schools. This is an exciting time to join Myeloma UK as we launch our new five year strategy.
Our portfolio of grant funded research programmes and projects play an important role in achieving our strategic objectives. These programmes aim to discover and share new knowledge, support the development of clinical trials and answer questions of unmet need in myeloma.
The postholder will ensure the development and effective management of the grants portfolio in line with Myeloma UK procedures, ensuring compliance with AMRC guidelines and charity finance requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced responsive repairs professional who understands the multiple disciplines required to deliver this fast-paced area of the business, to join our small, but supportive, Housing & Neighbourhoods Team working on all aspects of repairs and maintenance. It is an interesting and varied role for an engaging, solution-focused person, with a passion for providing these types of services across ISHA portfolio and help keep our residents homes well maintained, and someone who wants to add value within an organisation.
You will bring your knowledge and experience by providing advice and support to various stake holders, staff and residents by keeping ISHA service and maintenance records up to date and be able to demonstrate a robust repairs and maintenance service is being maintained. You should be a resilient, professionally curious person, who is enthusiastic about a career in the Social Housing.
You will work closely with the Head of Assets and Repairs in a generalist capacity, to support with continuous improvement across all service areas, while helping to support and achieve our organisational objectives.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Coaching and advising Building Surveyors, Disrepair Coordinator and currently four repairs’ advisors.
- Ensuring that robust monitoring, reporting, and forecasting systems are in place.
- Contributing to the budget plan and compiling budget/KPI reports monthly, managing budgets for responsive repairs ensuring effective use of funds.
- You will be responsible for the delivery of our repairs and maintenance service to our residents’ homes ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved and KPIs are being met by our supply chain.
- To contract manage the repairs and maintenance contractors and all other contracts associated with the delivery of these services delivering excellent customer service and value for money.
- Ensuring that robust monitoring, reporting, and forecasting systems are in place and data is kept updated.

Working closely with our key internal and external stakeholders, you will continue to lead the way in the development of our repairs and maintenance services and you would have worked ideally in Housing before.

About the role and the London Adult Service:
The London Adult Service is a transformational service which aims to provide end-to-end support and casework to victims and witnesses of crime in London. The service is funded by the Mayor's Office for Police and Crime (MOPAC) and is a key part of the London criminal justice landscape. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting our external interface with our stakeholders. The role will be home-based, but attendance at our London office may sometimes be required for meetings.
As a Digital Engagement and Partnerships Manager you'll:
- Promote the London adult digital services to encourage referrals into the service.

Additionally, you will record actions and minutes from team meetings when required and ensure that all correspondence and actions are accurately logged in our CRM database.

Hope Place is a new supported accommodation service located in Slough comprising 10 self contained rooms with a staff office on site. The service accommodates and support people who experience moderate to high complex mental illness, many of whom will also have a range of additional and complex needs, for example drug and alcohol misuse issues and personality disorders.
Hope Place provides care and support for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Bank Holidays. The service is covered at night by designated Waking Night staff. Support Workers will be required to work on a rota basis, covering early and late shifts, including at weekends and Bank Holidays.
