• Income Strategy & Leadership:

The Talent Set is delighted to be partnering Pets as Therapy (PAT) to recruit a Head of Fundraising, who will play a pivotal role in delivering the new fundraising strategy and increasing income to £1.7 million.

PAT is a UK-wide charity that inspires and enables volunteers to share the joy of their pets. Every day over 4,000 people in hospitals, care homes or schools get to meet a PAT Dog or Cat. That brief visit brings the comfort and joy that only a pet can give.  Over the past few years, income has increased from circa £600k to circa £1.5 million. This new role of Head of Fundraising, reporting to the CEO, will lead PAT’s fundraising and marketing work. Alongside implementing the fundraising strategy for PAT, you will personally lead the individual giving program. The post holder will also be a member of the PAT SMT (Senior Management Team).

Head of Fundraising - Major Gifts

Hours: 37.5 per week. Flexibility will be considered working a minimum of 30 hours per week (0.8 full time equivalent). Salary and holiday will be adjusted accordingly.

Location: Hybrid / Wonderseekers HQ, Eastleigh with regular attendance at Winchester Science Centre, Winchester. For the right person we’re willing to consider flexible working whereby the postholder could work up to two days per week from home. The Role

To deliver on our new strategy and exciting capital and activity Masterplan, Wonderseekers is growing its Fundraising Team. The Head of Major Gifts is a pivotal new role within this team: working closely with the Director of Fundraising and managing a small team of experienced Trusts & Foundations (T&F) fundraisers, to achieve an initial target of circa £3.5 million within the next two years.

Accomplished at assimilating and interpreting complex information to craft compelling, high-level funding proposals, the post holder will lead and coordinate project fundraising campaigns to achieve the individual project targets, ensuring the highest quality of funding approach and donor stewardship across the Major Gifts Team.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Head of Development will provide overall leadership for Videre’s fundraising activities. They will develop and implement the fundraising strategy,  ensuring income goals are achieved in the short, medium and long-term through direct relationship building, input to programme design, concept note drafting and deployment of the CEO and Senior Directors. They will be part of the organisational Management Team, working closely with colleagues to deliver on the organisational strategy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic planning and management

• Lead on the delivery of the 2025-2027 fundraising strategy, adjusting as required, ensuring that Videre has the resources to deliver on its mission and strategic goals.
• Lead on maintaining our backbone infrastructure of prospect research, concept note coordination and drafting and deployment of senior staff (including yourself) into the right spaces with the right messages and background information.
• Track progress against the fundraising strategy, with regular reporting to senior management and the Board of Trustees against strategic indicators and outcomes, and pro-actively address any potential shortfalls.
• Maintain detailed and accurate income projections and forecasts, liaising with the Head of Finance & Compliance to closely monitor organisational cash flow.  
• Line manage the Trust & Foundation Officer (expected to hire in late 2025), providing close support on operational tasks, time management and prioritisation, and pro-actively supporting professional development.
• Monitor external donor trends and adapt plans accordingly to ensure Videre remains well placed to secure funding over the long-term.
• Contribute to long-term organisational planning and positioning, and proactively identify aligned funding environments and opportunities.
• Fully participate and contribute to the Management Team, raising fundraising matters where appropriate and helping ensure the organisation achieves its strategic mission.

Donor cultivation, approaches, and retention

• With the CEO, develop and maintain strong working relationships across Videre’s donor portfolio, ensuring timely and responsive communications with all existing and potential funders, including institutional donors, private foundations, trusts, individuals, and other partner organisations.
• Lead the development of cultivation strategies for existing and potential donors and manage their implementation.
• Develop materials, including proposals, grant applications, and supporting documentation tailored to the donor audience, ensuring accuracy, fit, and timely submission.
• Collaborate closely with Head of Finance & Compliance to prepare proposal and grant application budgets.
• Conduct prospect research and monitor new funding opportunities, analyse donor trends and maintain relevant knowledge on donor priorities, rules and requirements.
• Analyse the reasons for success or failure of funding proposals, extracting and applying learning to improve the success rate of future funding applications.
• Ensure adherence to Videre’s Ethical Funding Policy, carrying out due diligence on funding sources where appropriate
• Support regional staff with the development of strategic relationships with in-country donor offices and government embassies.
• Maintain comprehensive records of contacts, meetings and points of cultivation with all donors, and ensure proper follow up.

Grant management and reporting

• Lead on the preparation and submission of high-quality donor progress reports, coordinating teams as required for input.
• Ensure contract information is maintained and recorded accurately.
• Develop and maintain a tracking system to ensure timely submission of proposals, reports and acknowledgements.
• Liaise with the Head of Finance & Compliance to support organisational and donor audits.

Other

• Ensure Videre’s website and donor portal are regularly updated and effectively communicate the organisations values, mission and activities.

Responsibilities for Fund raising are distributed across many roles in the organisation, but you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the organisational Fundraising Strategy, paying particular attention to the diversification of our funding portfolio and ensuring all teams are supported to achieve their fundraising goals.

Your main focus will be on diversifying our funding sources, growing our income from major donors and corporate supporters and increasing our effectiveness and reach with trusts and foundations. You will have the autonomy to shape the role and make it your own. The role of Communications and Marketing Coordinator sits within the Communications Team at Kids Matter. As we seek to grow our audiences, our influence and ultimately our impact, it’s an exciting time to join the team. Role description

 The Head of Social Value (HoSV) is HACT’s specialist subject matter expert on social value and impact measurement. The post holder will be able to clearly explain what social value means and have knowledge of a range of impact measurement methodologies and how they can be applied in different contexts.

The HoSV will ensure that HACT maintains its position at the forefront of social value and impact measurement thinking, constantly identifying areas for innovation and development. The post holder will also build and strengthen relationships with customers by providing quality social value consultancy, training and research.

The HoSV will have regular contact with HACTs strategic partner, SImetrica-Jacobs, ensuring there is 2-way dialogue based on market intelligence, understanding competitors and any other feedback which will positively support HACTs position in the social value space.

Working at the cutting edge of how social impact measurement is used within the built environment, the post holder will have an enthusiasm to lead new thinking and the ability to be flexible, adaptable and to thrive on the challenge of working in a developing area and work closely with the Head of Services and Head of Customer to develop the product map.

The HoSV will be the ‘go to’ person within HACT for social value and will represent HACT as an expert in this field in the sector.

Responsibilities

 • Be the subject matter expert for social value and impact measurement at HACT, providing guidance and expertise internally to HACT colleagues and externally to customers. This will involve leading on the development of guidance materials for implementing HACT’s Social Value Banks and measurement methodology and practice notes.

• Deliver social value services to customers at the right level of quality, ensuring customer needs are met.

• Identify opportunities to enhance HACT’s social value services, expand HACT’s Social Value Banks and provide more value to customers.

• Identify business development opportunities for social value services within the housing sector, built environment and beyond.

• Build and manage existing relationships with partners, Associates, and other stakeholders, working with these partners to support delivery, information flows, and engagement with customers.

• Continually keep own expertise up-to-date and current through market scanning and analysis and use this insight to support improvements to the HACT offer.

• Represent HACT with key stakeholders and at sector events.

• Stay abreast of issues in the social housing, built environment and health sectors, and feeding these into HACT work.

• Undertake any task that may be requested from time to time that may be consistent with the nature and scope of this post.

• Travel and occasional overnight stays across the UK will be required.

Skills and experience

The primary functions of the PR and Communications Officer role will be to contribute to the organisation’s media advocacy by working with colleagues to ideate, develop and publish compelling messaging and narratives around the organisation’s research and advocacy, and by delivering the day-to-day duties of the press office. Another key function of the role is to edit and proofread content generated by colleagues, including reports, blogs and other materials. The PR and Communications Officer will be part of the communications team at the Tax Justice Network which is led by the Head of Communications, who this post will report into, and includes the Content and Communications Officer, the Creative Strategist/Podcaster and the Podcast Producer. The team leads and delivers the Tax Justice Network’s communications, including the organisation’s media work, blog, website, social media and newsletters.

Andover foodbank provides emergency food and support to local people in crisis working in partnership with local agencies and professional care workers.

As Head of Andover Foodbank you will ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness, will lead, manage, and motivate the staff and volunteers and will work in partnership with the Committee to guide the development of the foodbank, including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships and Christian ethos.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading and managing volunteers and the Warehouse Manager and Volunteer Manager, complying with the Diocese People policies including appraisals and the completion of personnel administration.
* Analysing and using data to inform and develop strategy and providing regular updates to Secretary and reporting monthly to Committee.
* Leading the Volunteer Manager to ensure the foodbank has adequate numbers of trained volunteers and a rota providing volunteers for the warehouse, office and events.
* Leading the Warehouse Manager to ensure effective and efficient operation of the warehouse, including adequate stock levels by arranging regular supermarket collections, buying stock and issuing appeals as necessary.
* Producing an annual budget for warehouse stock and projects and monitor income and spending on budget and managing donations, donor stewardship, funding applications and campaigns.
* Developing and implementing a fundraising strategy to ensure the foodbank is sustainable.

The successful candidate will have the ability to lead and manage a team including volunteers, with first class organisation skills and ability to prioritise work, and balance conflicting priorities and meet set deadlines.

Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Xero is key, as is a background in finance and budgetary control. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire both internal teams and external stakeholders is crucial, with strong experience of staff management and supervision.
