DFN Project SEARCH offer an evidence-based supported internship model which takes place entirely in the workplace. The programmes provide continuous support to young adults with a learning disability, and autistic people who are aged between 16 – 24 with an Education Health and Care Plan, or equivalent, in their final year of education.
You will be required to identify opportunities to develop and grow DFN Project SEARCH programmes across a geographical area with the aim of supporting the organisation to ensure that as many people as need it have access to DFN Project SEARCH programmes.
In addition, you will be required to develop strategies to ensure that the operational programmes in your area are achieving at least the average outcomes expected for young people in our programmes and so you must be committed to continuous improvement.

As Administrative Assistant you will be part of our small, dynamic, and passionate team, which is supported by an extensive network of volunteers. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this.
Their vision is to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. To achieve their mission, they are looking for a Community Fundraiser who will proactively engage with supporters, community groups and volunteers across the West Midlands to join their team of 12 Community Fundraisers across the UK.
The Community Fundraiser (West Midlands) is responsible for providing support and guidance to fundraisers within their communities to achieve their ambitions and ultimately raise vital funds for Brain Tumour Research. This is achieved through a wide variety of activities such as helping supporters to make the most of their own fundraising, engaging participants with externally organised events such as the Great Birmingham Run, and encouraging communities to get involved in events organised by Brain Tumour Research such as Wear a Hat Day and Walk for Hope. You will take the lead on seeking out new prospects and nurturing existing relationships to significantly grow income. The role will include researching relevant opportunities, identifying the most appropriate projects, writing and submitting applications and ensuring excellent donor management, development and reporting. Trusts and Foundations income is a cornerstone of Bowel Research UKs charitable income each year and is responsible for around a third of fundraised income. The organisation has assessed the trusts' function recently, the outcome of which shows that there is scope to significantly grow this area of activity. Full support will be given to the Trust Fundraising Manager to enable this growth to happen.

Tutorials are delivered online to groups of up to 4 students via our bespoke online learning platform.
Tutorials generally take place between the hours of 3pm and 8pm on weekday evenings, with flexibility around the schedules of our tutors and students.

Role Responsibilities
- Lead weekly hour-long tutorials with your tutor group(s), via The Access Project’s online learning platform
- Responsively plan and deliver stimulating, high quality tuition in line with our Quality Assurance Framework
- Effectively monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback when requested
- Complete weekly attendance forms, supply monthly invoices, and complete other administrative duties as required

Person Specification
- At least two years A level teaching and/or tutoring experience
- Positive, engaging and flexible teaching style

Overall job purpose
This is a fundamental role within our North regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer. The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. About the oppurtunity:
You will help drive the quality and impact of our key stage 2 (KS2) and key stage 4 (KS4) maths tutoring programmes through subject-specific training of volunteer tutors, and by advising and supporting our (mostly) non-teaching staff members who manage these volunteer tutors day to day.

Specific responsibilities relating to the role:
Supporting the delivery of our maths curriculum:
- Design and deliver online maths-focused training for volunteer tutors so that subject knowledge is secure within the tutor community.
- Provide advice and support, including some direct tutor communications, on subject-specific matters for Action Tutoring staff who manage volunteer tutors.
- Maintain existing tutoring GCSE and KS2 maths curriculum resources to ensure volunteer tutors have high quality materials to use in sessions.

- Observe several virtual tutoring sessions a week. Make detailed and unbiased notes on tutor skills, craft empathetic constructive feedback in emails.
- Support our programme delivery team to craft communications and feedback to tutors.
- Produce ‘quality tips’ and resources for tutors and staff.
- Work with Action Tutoring’s volunteer engagement team to feedback trends so that the quality assurance process at the tutor application stage is as strong as possible.
Delivering volunteer tutor training:
- Support the Training Manager by delivering up to four virtual initial tutor training sessions a week during peak months, presenting Action Tutoring’s established training content.

Qualifications criteria:
- Qualified secondary school teacher of Mathematics
- At least two year’s teaching experience in English state schools with an understanding of the barriers facing disadvantaged pupils
