Reporting into the Head of Partnerships, the New Business manager role will be instrumental in generating new business to compliment the current portfolio of partners. You will focus on:
1. New Business: Identifying, researching and building a list of new prospects to generate new partnerships for the Ruth Strauss Foundation.
2. Engagement with RSF events: Working closely with the RSF Commercial Sales Lead, utilising the Ruth Strauss Foundation calendar of events to engage and steward corporate relationships. These events include the likes of the RSF Long Room Dinner, RSF Golf Day, #RedforRuth, #RockforRuth.
3. Supporting on Corporate engagement through the Ruth Strauss Foundation’s exciting new pre bereavement eLearning platform for workplaces.
4. Support the Head of Partnerships to maximise support from the England and Wales Cricket Board and the Marylebone Cricket Club and their commercial partners at #RedforRuth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead on pitches and secure new partnership opportunities
• Maximise planned income from partners, amplifying their fundraising potential and retaining accounts
• Generate income, working proactively to strategically grow these key relationships
• Identifying, researching, engaging and cultivating new corporate prospects and relationships.

• Develop and, with the wider Fundraising Team, implement a focused calendar of fundraising activities and activation stewardship opportunities specifically for Partners.

Person Specification:
• Experience of working in corporate partnerships / CSR / marketing / sales

About the Role
Location & Contract: This is a full-time, 12-month fixed term (maternity cover) role with a hybrid working model based in Reading, with travel required to our Reading hub at least twice per month.
The PR Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the organisation’s PR strategy, in support of the wider I&E and Brand, Communications and Entertainment Strategy. You will seek and create opportunities to enhance the charity’s reputation and promote its mission, in line with its goals and values.
You will lead on defining and articulating organisational key messaging for key activities to be shared with the wider organisation and external media. This will include supporting the People team in developing their internal comms strategy that engages, inspires and empowers the organisation.
Working collaboratively with the Brand, Communications and Entertainment team, provide support in developing external campaigns and relevant entertainment relationships, including with media partners, broadcasters, influencers and celebrity supporters
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the PR strategy, developing plans to promote key initiatives, campaigns and products to media, effectively and in line with wider strategies.
- Have a proactive approach in anticipating media requests & reactions and have the right processes, assets and content in place to support this.
- Create impactful press releases and other supporting media materials that are consistent with the agreed strategy, goals and key messaging to secure coverage.
- Build powerful press and media relationships and partnerships to gain coverage and elevate campaigns, and identify how Make-A-Wish can optimise these.
- Working with the B,C&E Lead, manage an effective crisis communications strategy, maintaining a framework to manage proactive and reactive crisis or incidents ensuring it is fully embedded into the organisation and refreshed when needed. Lead on the preparation of responses and official statements when required.
- Develop and update toolkits to support consistent media presentation, and toolkit elements for specific fundraising activities and campaigns that can be used internally and also shared with partners and community leaders.
Essential Criteria:
- Ideally 7+ years experience within a PR focussed role within a cause driven organisation and/or charity with 2+ years experience within a similar role to advertised.
- Evidence and experience of developing and leading high-profile media activations including broadcast coverage, (ideally around fundraising) broadsheet coverage (ideally of media-backed campaigns, etc.
- Evidence and experience of capturing stories including copywriting, sensitive interviewing and story capture approaches, etc.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks, best practice and ethical issues.
- Experience with insight and analytic tools and building reports to inform and develop PR strategy.
- Experience of managing and planning work strategically.

The Telefundraising Executive role sits within the Mass Fundraising team, who are responsible for individual giving, legacies, in-memory giving, third party challenge events, and owned fundraising products and events. The Mass Fundraising team play a vital role in contributing to our organisational strategic goal of developing sustainable sources of income.
The Telefundraising Executive is responsible for calling and connecting with Make-A-Wish supporters to increase engagement levels, and to increase income for Make-A-Wish by inspiring our current supporters to give again, increase their giving, or support us in other ways.
This role has been set up to support our ambitious plans for growing income so we can substantially increase the number of wishes we are able to grant each year. Your role will be pivotal in helping us to connect with and inspire our existing and new donors to support this mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Contacting existing, potential and lapsed supporters via telephone to promote the charity’s values and beliefs, and to ask for financial or non-financial support as defined by the campaign brief and script.
- Keeping supporters informed of current campaigns and projects, and explaining how they can make a difference. This could include welcome calling for new donors, stewardship and thank you calling for existing donors, upgrade conversion for regular/repeat donors, reactivation calling for lapsed donors, or conversion calling to other Make-A-Wish fundraising offers.

This is an exciting and challenging position, which will be pivotal in growing the acquisition programme as part of our 5-year strategy. Managing the A&W team and collaborating with others across the Fundraising and Communications Directorate, you'll help to optimise acquisition activity as we scale up investment in this area. This is an opportunity for someone to help make a real difference to a varied programme using a test and learn approach.
The Supporter Acquisition Manager (SAM) leads a team of two Senior Officers to grow our new supporters through delivery of annual testing plans across all acquisition products and channels. The SAM is responsible for the largest budget within the FundComm department. They play an instrumental role in shaping and delivering the 5 year growth strategy and are key to making it a success. A focus of the role to support this growth involves managing cross-team projects - inline with Brooke’s project management framework - to design, test and roll out new creatives and products that attract and retain higher volumes of new supporters. This will include our regular giving product, as well as introducing a brand new prize led product such as raffle or lottery.
Criteria
We’re looking for a strong and collaborative project manager with good all-round experience of channel marketing for acquisition. Experience in delivering DRTV and digital are essential and experience developing RG or prize-led products is desirable.
You will need to be confident setting and managing budgets and KPIs and able to accurately forecast and report against large budgets across multiple products and channels. This includes using a data-led approach towards strategic annual planning, budgets and operational plans for your area, with your team’s input. You will know how to operationalise and optimise these plans through a test and learn approach and help champion and embed a testing culture across wider teams as well. You’ll also be an organised individual with excellent communication and analytical skills, who enjoys working across teams to deliver best in class products and integrated appeals. You will use your knowledge of the supporter engagement funnel to drive growth through integrated campaigns, working closely with Brand MarComms team to ensure awareness activity, targeting and organic channels all align to support acquisition objectives.

Job Title: CEO
Salary: Actual salary is £36,000 per year. (FTE £45,000)
Contract/ Hours: 4 days per week / 0.8FTE. The normal working week is 30 hours.
Annual Leave: FTE annual leave entitlement is 23 days pro rata plus public and bank holidays.
Pension: Pension contributions of 5% per month will be paid by NUM and 3% per month will be deducted from salary.
Base/ Location: Must be UK-based. NUM is a national organisation with workspaces in Manchester and Glasgow and CEO will be required to travel throughout the UK and internationally.

National Ugly Mugs (NUM) was established in 2012 as a pilot project of the UK Network of Sex Work Projects. It is now the largest sex worker-serving violence prevention and survivor support service in the UK, with a mandate to ‘end all forms of violence against sex workers.’ All of our services are delivered with, by, and for sex workers and our work is grounded within three principles: 'Sex Workers' First; 'Quality Support'; and 'Learning and Innovation'. We support over 9,800 members, 85% of whom are active adult industry workers, with the remainder comprising a range of frontline practitioners and delivery partners. Role Purpose:
The main purpose of the CEO is to provide inspirational leadership to NUM and ensure long term sustainability through innovation, strategic planning, effective governance, funding, and sound delivery of services. The CEO will take a lead role in the national policy advocacy work NUM carries out to achieve its objectives.

You’ll be instrumental in devising and delivering the strategic plans to achieve our ambitions for supporter engagement, as well as leading the teams responsible for delivering email and supporter journeys across the organisation.
What you’ll bring
- Significant experience of supporter engagement in the commercial or not-for-profit sectors

We're seeking a dynamic individual who can mobilise Christians to respond to some of the most pressing humanitarian crises in our world today. This is a new role at Medair UK as we look to broaden and strengthen our engagement with churches across the UK. Medair is a Christian humanitarian organisation that responds to conflict, disease, and disaster so that the world’s most vulnerable and hard-to reach people can live with dignity and hope.
We're looking for someone with a proven track-record of developing and delivering meaningful partnerships with local churches and national networks. You will need to be a relational leader, an effective communicator and a self-starter able to kick-off new initiatives. Ideally you will being first-hand experience of working within a church, a keen understanding of the UK church landscape, and a strong personal network.
This new role presents an opportunity for someone to shape strategy, initiate new activities and be a public voice to this growing network in the UK. You will be a senior and integral part of Medair UK. Through your actions you will inspire churches and Christian audiences to give, pray and even go, working with Medair in our Country Teams. The role is being advertised as full time, however we are open to part-time working for the right candidate. Key Activity Areas
External Engagement & Relationship Building

Lead on our external engagement with churches across the UK, growing the number of churches engaging in the mission of Medair through giving, prayer and awareness raising.

Develop strategies for raising awareness, creating connections and establishing relationships with an increasing number of new churches with a bias towards those with a younger congregation.

Collaborate with the Medair UK Director, Trustees and Senior Leadership across Medair in the relationships they hold and can grow.

Steward relationships with caseload of Churches through effective communication, timely reports and creative touchpoints so that depth of relationship is established with churches that have donated, prayed and engaged with the mission of Medair.

Work towards an agreed income target each year of churches that are giving towards emergency appeals and contributing unrestricted funds towards our work.

Deliver Medair’s presence at Christian events including the oversight of volunteers, speakers and staff to maximize our presence at these opportunities.

Cultivate regular speaking opportunities for yourself and the wider team to deliver in churches, prayer networks and regional gatherings introducing people to the mission of Medair and equipping people to pray for those in crises.
Resource Development & Volunteer Management

Strengthen Medair UK’s engagement with churches by developing profile raising resources and ensuring all fundraising appeals are designed and delivered to maximise church take-up.

Oversee the delivery of our monthly prayer email, and ad-hoc prayer resources, as well as working collaboratively with colleagues in Medair UK and the wider group to commission resources that will engage Christian audiences.

With the support of the Engagement Support Officer co-ordinate all requests for speakers in churches ensuring that a staff member or alumni, is available and well briefed ahead of time.

Oversee the management the Medair UK alumni network – developing events, online and in-person, personal touchpoints and communications that will encourage this warm audience to keep enthused about Medair and growing our awareness in there networks.
Church Management

Manage the related tasks of the Engagement Support Officer whose role is split with 60% on Trusts and Foundations, and 40% on Churches and Alumni. This is matrix-management as the Engagement Support Officer is line managed by the Grants Manager.

Oversee the receipting and acknowledgement of all financial support from churches, using creative ways to thank and steward churches and supporters who generously donate.

Maintain an up-to-date and accurate record of church relationships on our CRM (salesforce), monitoring engagement events, income targets, key contacts and audience growth.
Internal Liaison

Liaise with Medair’s Heads of Country Programmes, Country Directors and Communications Officers in order to gather information and data for the purposes of applying and reporting to funders.
