Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus. Growing Hope was founded in December 2017 and has a vision to see 20 clinics set up across the UK by 2030. We currently have three clinics, King’s Cross, Brockley and High Wycombe. We worked with over 500 children, young people, parents, carers, siblings and professionals in 2023. 

Role Summary:
We are recruiting an Operations Officer who will support with operations across the charity. This includes supporting the team with administration, finance, training and fundraising. We are seeking an individual who is flexible and adaptive in their approach, and has excellent attention to detail, IT and communication skills. We are open to candidates who have a strong work ethic and are keen to learn and develop the essential skills for the role. Job Purpose 
Growing Hope is a national charity with a growing number of clinics across the UK. This operations role will provide support across the Growing Hope national staff team. This will include support with administration, finance, fundraising and training. This role is key in enabling all the functions of the national charity to run smoothly and effectively. The role will be based in King’s Cross with occasional events outside of the office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 
Duties and responsibilities will be discussed and developed as the charity continues to grow. It is anticipated that this time will be flexible and adjusted according to the needs and priorities at the time. Specifically the role with include: 

IT administration

• Administration of IT systems, logins and spreadsheets for the team, volunteers, staff and freelancers (keeping these up to date and amending systems as required).
• Ordering and setting up IT hardware and software for individuals joining the team.
• Oversight of IT systems used by Growing Hope including ticket tailor, jot form, mail chimp, Microsoft office, google adverts and tracking. Supporting with problem solving when issues arise. 
• Overseeing and training others in Canopy (clinic administration software) and helping support and problem solve with using this. This includes liaising with a freelance software developer to manage the development project.

HR administration

• Oversight of the recruitment checking process for new volunteers, trustees, freelancers and employees. This includes carrying out DBS checks, calling referees, chasing for references and communicating with individuals as they start with Growing Hope.
• Management of the ‘internal news’ list in order to track individuals working closely with the charity. 
• Writing, drafting and sending out HR letters, contracts and contract variations. 
• Organising internal events on behalf of the team including away days, training days and ad hoc events. 
• Organising online training as required for members of the Growing Hope team.

Office Support

• Overseeing the day to day office and building use including the alarm, maintenance visits, wifi, printer and other equipment. This includes liaising with other individuals who have office use.
• Liaising with the Director of Operations around the use of the office.
• Ordering office supplies as required, ensuring office space and storage is kept organised. 
• Supporting with external events planning including finding venues, sponsorship and items needed.
• Ordering equipment as required across the team.
• Ad hoc tasks as required across the team. 

Volunteer admin support

• Processing volunteer applications and induction as required. 
• Oversight of volunteers using the office space on a day to day basis. Including allocating volunteer tasks and explaining and supporting with these as required. 
• Managing volunteer IT access. 

General 

• Sending letters and emails and making phone calls as required.
• Logging all actions on Salesforce database.
• Maintain data protection & confidentiality in line with Growing Hope’s policy.
• Ensure adherence to Safeguarding and wider Growing Hope policies.
• Actively contributing to staff prayer meetings and upholding Growing Hope’s Christian values.

Person Specification 
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working in the charity sector, an interest in additional needs and inclusion are highly desirable.

ESSENTIAL

• This role has an Occupational Requirement to be a Christian, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010.  Excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Ability to work with Microsoft word, excel, outlook and ppt efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to understand and work with back end IT systems such as wordpress, google admin suite and azure.
• Ability to take initiative and have a flexible approach to tasks. 
• Commitment to Growing Hope’s vision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, as the task requires

DESIRABLE

• Experience, interest in or commitment to a career in additional needs and inclusion.

The role of the Head of National Services is instrumental in ensuring that we provide innovative support to people affected by poor mental health and mental illness.

It will be responsible for working closely with our Policy and Communications Team around nationally funded projects by Scottish Government and will play a key role in the National Management Team of Change Mental Health. The role will work closely with the Director of Services to develop and work in partnership with a range of different stakeholders to increase the impact of our work and generate new opportunities for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee the safe and efficient operational delivery practice and development of National Services, including our Advice and Support Service, Distress Brief Intervention services (DBI), Suicide Bereavement Services and other national projects 

· Lead, support and motivate your team to ensure high-quality and person-centred service delivery

· Provide strategic leadership for the services in your area and contribute to the strategic development of services nationally as a member of the National Management Team

Operational service delivery and development 

· Ensure National Services are delivered to the highest standard with high levels of satisfaction from the people we support 

· Responsible for overseeing the safe operational delivery of services in your area of work and managing quality assurance around these 

· Responsible for developing and maintaining safe working processes, procedures and practices in my area of work, including overseeing some services which may be registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FSA), Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers (SNSIAP), Care Inspectorate or other regulatory bodies

· Oversee safe and inclusive recruitment practices in my area for both staff and volunteers

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join our Finance Team here at The Children’s Trust.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Financial Controller will assist in ensuring the integrity of the financial reporting systems, treasury management, and the processes of accounts payable and fundraising finance income processing. Role Requirements

The role holder will assist in maintaining high standards of professional competence and integrity in the finance team and play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Finance in running the overall finance department.

Oversight of the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger

Responsibility for internal controls; prompt reconciliations of control accounts, separation of duties, and compliance with proscribed systems of authorisation

Assist in the preparation of annual accounts, in compliance with the SORP and relevant GAAP.  Liaison with external and internal auditors

Lead in preparation of the annual cash flow forecast, and preparation of monthly reconciliations between forecast and actual

Bank reconciliations and posting of transactions

Month end processes and journals

Manage the purchase ledger function, ensuring the ledger is kept clean and at an acceptable level.  Ensure the Purchase Ledger Manager is maintaining the sub ledgers within purchase ledger

Assist with the credit control function, in liaison with relevant service leads. This will be supported by KPIs

Oversee the Fundraising Accountant role, ensuring accuracy of reconciliations between Fundraising and Finance 

Manage the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring its accuracy

Submission of the quarterly VAT returns and VAT reconciliations

Ad hoc Projects as required by the Head of Finance

The Royal Hospital Chelsea is seeking a passionate and skilled Trusts & Foundations Officer to join our dedicated team on a part time basis and help secure vital funding to support our mission. By securing grants and building long-term relationships with charitable trusts and foundations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continued care and wellbeing of the Chelsea Pensioners.

The Role:

As the Trusts & Foundations Officer, you will take ownership of an exciting and diverse portfolio of charitable trusts, foundations, and other grant-giving organisations. Reporting to the Head of Trusts and Statutory Fundraising, you will work to grow both restricted and unrestricted funding to help meet the Royal Hospital’s long-term income targets. This role requires strategic thinking, and the ability to develop and nurture lasting relationships with funders.

Key Responsibilities

As the Trusts & Foundations Officer you will assist in identifying new funding opportunities to expand the existing funder base, work closely with all departments to develop tailored proposals and implement the organisation's fundraising strategy. You will maintain a rolling programme of bespoke grant applications while building and stewarding long-term relationships with funders. The role includes supporting the Head of Trusts and Statutory Fundraising with donor communications, trust and statutory fundraising applications, submitting timely reports, and maintaining accurate records.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years’ experience in a relevant fundraising role, and a good understanding of the voluntary sector funding environment. They should be skilled in researching and developing new funding pipelines, managing multiple contacts, and have excellent writing, proof-reading, and organisational abilities. Financial literacy and budget management are essential, alongside IT proficiency and familiarity with CRM systems like ThankQ. Candidates should have experience raising funds from trusts and foundations, managing donor relationships, and working to targets and deadlines.

We are delighted to be working with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH) who are searching for a Senior Executive within their Mass Participation team. GOSH exists to transform the lives of seriously ill children giving them the best chance to fulfil their potential. GOSH’s fundraising income supports the research, care and advocacy that will have the greatest impact on the children and families they serve.

The purpose of this role is to project manage the development and delivery of third-party challenge events, including London Marathon and Great North Run, leading the team’s stewardship activity, delivering growth in voluntary net income and providing an exceptional supporter experience. 

To be successful in the role of Senior Executive, you will need: 

• Proven experience working in a fundraising environment, with event delivery experience, including volunteer management
• Experience in delivering best-in-class supporter journeys and working collaboratively with email, marketing and supporter care teams to support mass participation event participants
• Excellent relationship management skills, adept at securing and delivering high-value event partnerships
