The Spear Centre Manager will work as part of the River Church staff team to oversee the delivery of Spear—an employability programme equipping and empowering unemployed 16-24 year-olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of the Spear Programme

Spear Foundation is a 4-week initial phase, consisting of 2 group sessions plus a 1:1 with each trainee per week, in which we coach young people around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education, and equip them with the skills to stay there. ​

• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Assistant Coach.
• Oversee all aspects of the programme coordination and delivery.
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report to Resurgo and the church on enrolment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees, as well as their ongoing progress.

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Build and implement a strategy for developing and maintaining relationships with local referral partners to build the profile of the Spear programme within Ipswich and ensure the young people who would benefit from the programme are able to access it.
• Steward relationships with young people after initial point of contact, to encourage enrolment and ensure a full cohort is enrolled for each programme.

Line management and training

• Manage the Spear Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
• Work with and be managed by River Church staff locally, and by a Church Partnerships Manager from Resurgo on a national level, to ensure the flourishing of the Spear centre, its team and young people, and to ensure the fulfilment of our shared mission in Ipswich.
• Work with and report to Resurgo teams on KPIs, and use outcomes data to maximise the effectiveness of the programme.

Supporting River Church’s mission and ministry

• Establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement of church members and to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme.
• Work with the Head of Operations and the Fundraising Assistant to prepare grant funding applications for Spear Ipswich, and provide timely grant reporting.
• Attend and participate in the life of River Church, keeping the congregation updated on the Spear programme to ensure it is a seamless part of the church’s missional work.

The Impact and Evaluation Manager designs and leads the organisation's impact, evaluation and research programme, ensuring accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.

Description of role:

This post is responsible for delivering the Impact and Evaluation portfolio at Buttle UK. The role has a key strategic role to play in understanding the impact of our grants and leading a broad portfolio of evaluation work. The I&E Manager is responsible for monitoring and delivering evaluation reports, creating and analysing internal and research data, and building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and data partners. The role works closely with the internal fundraising and grants teams at Buttle UK to strengthen their work by providing data, insight, and support. Our Impact and Evaluation portfolio also includes commissioning and undertaking new research, supporting our aim to publish studies on issues that affect children and young people living in poverty. The role is supported by, and is line manager to, an Impact and Evaluation Officer.

This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.

This all-round fundraising role will support a range of income-generating activities, working closely with the Head of Engagement to ensure the events programme and our challenge events programme expands and grows from strength to strength.

The Role

The Supporter Experience Officer is responsible for giving supporters a fulfilling and enjoyable relationship with the charity. They deepen supporter relationships and strengthen sources of income by working strategically across the whole supporter journey.

Main responsibilities include:

• Oversee programmes of regular giving and incorporate positive ‘wow’ moments into the supporter journey

What the job involves

We’re looking for two Events and Community Coordinators to join our Events and Community Team, one permanent role and a second fixed term contract for 9 months covering a secondment. We are a results-driven team focused on maximising opportunities, reaching ambitious goals, and delivering an outstanding experience for our supporters

Our team raise funds through a range of activities including:

Whilst each Coordinator has a primary area of responsibility across different types of events, you’ll also work across teams to support where needed during busy periods of activity.

This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising products, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

BACKGROUND:

Safe Child Thailand (SCT) is a grant-making and capacity building charity based in the UK. SCT has been supporting children in Thailand through education, healthcare, social welfare and child protection for over 40 years.

Safe Child Thailand have partners across Thailand, implementing projects that reduce the risks facing vulnerable children and increase access to services that protect and promote child rights and wellbeing.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Finance Assistant will support the financial operations of the charity. They will accurately deliver bookkeeping and accounts administration and ensure that the Management Accountant has accurate financial oversight of the charity.

As a key part of the team, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for the accounting software (Xero), using it to log income and expenditure correctly and efficiently. The Finance Assistant must be experienced in bookkeeping and account reconciliation and must have excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy. The Finance Assistant will also record and bank cash and cheque donations in accordance with the charity’s financial controls processes.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Book-keeping

- Be responsible for logging all income and expenditure using an accrual system on Xero

- Assure all invoices, receipts and supporting donation data is properly saved and uploaded on Xero

- Promptly arrange payment of invoices and grant payments using a weekly payment schedule shared with the CEO

- Keep a log of the Petty cash book

- Log income from donations and legacies on Xero

- Ensure accurate data entry especially with restricted funds

- Look after contracts with direct debits to assure prompt payment

- Work with the Fundraising team to cross-check income on Xero with the CRM database to ensure reconciliation and prompt acknowledgement of gifts

- Cross check staff expense claims and ensure receipts are submitted

2. Banking and reconciliation

- Be responsible for cashing all cheques, cash and postal orders that arrive by post

- Assure banking paying-in books are accurately completed and cheque information is scanned and filed (digitally)

- Digital reconciliation of charity bank accounts with Xero software (monthly)

- Manually reconcile any accounts without online access

- Review Credit Card expenditure and reconcile statements (monthly)

- Reconcile the PayPal Giving Account (quarterly)

3. Financial reporting

- Run a monthly income/expenditure report for the CEO and Management Accountant, ensuring that all books are kept up-to-date

- Support the fundraising team by providing reports on financial data to inform fundraising strategy, when required

- Assist with the annual Audit/Independent Examination by ensuring concise and easily accessible supporting documentation is logged for all income/expenditure

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

- Qualification in Accounting/Finance or equivalent

- Excellent skills in Excel

- Experience using bookkeeping software (preferably Xero)

- Confident in online banking and finance platforms

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting, bookkeeping and/or finance administration role

About the Role

This is a new and critical function within our senior management team at North London Open Spaces. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader who will drive fundraising, income generation, strategic partnerships, marketing, and community engagement across our portfolio of green spaces.

About the Role

As their Executive Assistant to the Global Director of Fundraising and the COO, you will play a crucial role in supporting their global leadership team. You will manage complex diaries, handle correspondence, assist with financial processes, coordinate travel, and arrange events and meetings, both at HQ and internationally. This is a multifaceted role where you’ll be ensuring seamless operations and effective communication, helping the Directors meet their strategic objectives. 

You will also assist with project administration and maintain accurate records in our systems (e.g., Salesforce), contributing to our overall operational effectiveness. You will be expected to maintain confidentiality, and work flexibly to meet the needs of the role, including occasional out-of-office support for events.

About The Felix Project
The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Started in 2016, its vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. In 2024 our workforce of over 200 staff and 13,000 volunteers collected and distributed the equivalent of 38 million meals to Londoners in need. This is done through a network of 1,200 community organisations and schools who are working on the frontline to feed people who are experiencing hunger and cannot afford to regularly buy the food they need. The Felix Project works with hundreds of suppliers from across the food industry, including supermarkets, wholesalers, farms and restaurants to rescue high quality surplus food, that cannot be sold and would otherwise go to waste. 

In London, one in four working families regularly struggle to afford to feed their children, equating to an estimated 325,000 families across the capital. The cost of food has increased by 30% in the past three years and one in eight working families have less than £3 a day for food, after paying their bills. About 20% of working families have been forced to access a food support service for the first time during 2024 due to the rising cost of living. 

Our work has never been more needed, and demand continues to grow. We are building our expertise and impact in response. The Felix Project now operates from four main depots in North, South, East, and West London, with ‘point-to-point’ projects in Central London and Canary Wharf. Felix’s Kitchen in our East London depot produces up to 5,000 meals per day from surplus food. Felix’s Multibank in West London distributes non-food items to those who need it most. As part of the charity’s involvement with The Coronation Food Project, we are launching an innovative food processing lab – The Felix Food Factory. 
 

Purpose of the Job:

The Senior Design & Production Officer is a new role in the organisation and plays a key role in helping to build our ambition to become London’s best loved charity. You will be a strong advocate of the refreshed brand, able to protect and build the brand both internally and externally. 

You will be a talented graphic designer, responsible for designing multiple assets for The Felix Project, in line with our brand refresh work, which kicked off in January 2025. This will include, for example, designing print and digital assets to promote fundraising activities, such as for community or challenge events, or working with partners on co-branded cause-related marketing opportunities.  

Ideally, we are seeking someone who can also shoot video and photography for smaller projects to complement the professional campaign shoots we have third party support and budget for. This will include creating content that showcases our impact through powerful storytelling, or bespoke video content for regular givers. You will also oversee the charity’s photography & videography database.

The graphic design element of this role will be dominant as we seek to ascertain the level of video and photography content needed during this foundational year of building the team.

Alongside marketing & brand colleagues, you will work with external creative agencies on larger projects, including major fundraising and brand awareness campaigns.

Duties and Accountabilities 

Graphic design (priority area for this role): 

• Create designed assets to support across the whole organisation whether supporting a fundraising activity, volunteer retention, supplier recruitment or other activities. This will include print and digital assets for web and social media.
• Work with pro-bono or lo-bono external agencies/specialists on major out of home fundraising or brand awareness campaigns, this could include creating or editing the multiple assets required for such a campaign, including static and animated content. 
• Support on physical branding of Felix sites, for example designing signage or logo lockups and organising print and installation with external suppliers. 
• Work either independently or with a creative agency to create flagship reports for The Felix Project, including an annual impact report and associated digital assets.
