How you will make a difference:

Amna is seeking a Social Media and Design Consultant on a monthly retainer contract to support our digital content strategy and enhance our online presence. Both individuals and agencies with the relevant skills and experience are welcome to apply. This role is pivotal in amplifying our mission through creative and impactful content that engages our audience and reflects our core values. The consultant will bring expertise in social media management, graphic design, and video editing to help us effectively communicate our story.

Deliverables include:

• Designing up to 20 high-quality graphical posts per month for social media, ensuring alignment with Amna’s visual identity and core values.
• Editing videos and reels for social media channels, up to 5 per month, using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Scheduling posts across social media platforms using Hootsuite, ensuring consistent and strategic content delivery.
• Uploading and managing content on Amna’s website using a web Content Management System (CMS), such as WordPress.
• Providing ad-hoc design support as needed, including infographics, reports, and digital marketing materials (2-3 per month).
• Collaborating closely with the communications team to develop and execute content strategies that raise awareness and foster engagement.
• Keeping up to date with social media trends, tools, and best practices to enhance Amna’s digital presence, engaging with comments and messages.
• Amna team will share briefs and provide text, creative direction and copy for each deliverable.
• The consultant will be also expected to be available for 1-2 check in meetings per week.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience managing social media platforms and developing visual content for social media, preferably in the non-profit or social impact sector.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress or other CMS platforms.
• Experience in using social media management tools, such as Hootsuite, for scheduling and analytics.
• Interest in social impact, social justice, and working with communities affected by adversity, including displacement, war, conflict, poverty, abuse, or marginalization.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote working environment.

Desirable:

Work Location and Environment:

About the Team

The Peer Support and Community team at Kinship is dedicated to enhancing the lives of kinship carers across England and Wales by delivering the first national peer support service. With a focus on building and sustaining networks of peer support groups, the team aims to empower kinship carers through access to resources, training, and development opportunities.

By fostering connections within local, regional, and national ecosystems, the team plays a vital role in ensuring that every kinship carer has access to a supportive community.

As part of our commitment to growth and impact, the team develops innovative approaches to peer support, creating an inclusive environment where kinship carers can share experiences and access essential services. We prioritize collaboration across various departments, ensuring that support group leaders receive high-quality advice and training, facilitating their sustainability and effectiveness.  About the role

This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form Peer Support Groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub.

You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers. You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment.

Funded by the Department of Education, the National Peer Support Service is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking an individual located in Greater London, who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to:

• Develop new Peer Support Groups across a diverse range of communities
• Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to achieve key targets and objectives
• Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the development of safe and effective support services for the kinship community.
• Maintain current Peer Support Group levels, taking the lead from the national Hub.
• Maintain accurate records that are used to populate reports, identify learning and share key insights across Kinship that allow the organisation to continuously improve our services and products.

You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey towards sustainability.

As a practical thinker, you will work creatively to identify stakeholders and assets in areas of high need. You will build local connections and bring together kinship carers across the region, empowering them to build resilient and robust peer support communities.

You will be confident in building relationships that generate referrals from external stakeholders and in contacting kinship carers directly to secure engagement with local coffee mornings, community, and training events that will help kick-start a thriving peer support group.

As you establish new groups, you will provide support and training to help them lead their groups effectively, and develop their group culture, resilience, and skills to function independently while offering reassurance and support to empower them.

We are ideally looking for candidates based in or around Greater London and willing to work initially across London Boroughs. This role may involve work to establish groups on the periphery of this area that currently have no dedicated Development staff.

An essential requirement of the role is to be a driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.

 Key responsibilities: 

Service delivery:

• In-person (face-to-face) strategic outreach into local communities including setting up and attending local engagement events.
• Set up and develop sustainable in person peer support groups, initially attending and leading sessions in person before transition to self-sufficiency. 
• Working with existing groups that are at risk, closed or need support that need replacing or rejuvenating to maintain DfE service level agreement, in addition to new groups. Targets are subject to change and are not fixed. 
• Recruit and retain support group leaders to develop their peer support groups.
• Assist with the delivery of training to support group leaders and groups to become self-sufficient.
• Develop strong boundaried and positive relationships with support group leaders – building resilience, empowerment and community.
• Support established groups (including independent) in your area to access support group leader networks and training (this includes visiting groups in person) to build a peer community. 
• Follow (and where appropriate support further development off) the service blueprint to develop sustainable peer support groups.
• Collaborate with the Peer Support Hub team to provide a joined-up and positive user experience for kinship carers.
• Manage special interest groups and regional online groups as required, transitioning to ‘Hub’ team for sustainability and work with partners. 

Service quality, development and data management:

• Accurately record all recruitment, contact information and volunteer case management in Salesforce in line with service framework and data protection requirements.
• Ensure accurate data entry in Salesforce to support service performance, evaluation and learning.
• Provide regular reports to ensure targets and SLA are met for the service.
• Support continuous development and improvement of the service (new systems and processes) as required.

 Knowledge, abilities, skills and experience (person spec):

 Essential:

· Proven experience in reaching and establishing strong relationships with hidden or underserved communities in person.

· Significant experience developing peer support communities.

· Proven experience of recruiting, managing, training and supporting volunteers in community settings with an emphasis on understanding and working with vulnerable volunteers.

· Proven experience of ensuring outcomes and impacts of services are evidenced through high-quality data collection.

· Evidence of developing and delivering training/support to volunteers, based on the needs of service users (in this case kinship carers).

· Strong facilitation skills and essential experience of peer support or user-led groups with charity beneficiaries.

· Proven experience of using a customer relationship management system effectively (we use Salesforce).

· In-depth understanding of safeguarding particularly around vulnerable families.

· Excellent communication and engagement skills, with good attention to detail.

Desirable:

· Lived experience of kinship care.

· Understanding of children’s social care.

· Digital community building (Facebook / WhatsApp etc).

· Full, clean driving licence/own car.

Remote based with travel, part-time role - an exciting opportunity - at a busy, dynamic and growing cancer charity – as part of ABC UK's Patient Support Programme.

Part-time flexible (likely minimum 18.5 Hrs p/w), salary £27,000 pro-rata, 20 days annual leave pro-rata, 3-month probationary period.

Bladder cancer is not a rare cancer – but it does have a low profile, lack of awareness, low research investment and desperately needs new treatments. Over 22,000 people are diagnosed each year in the UK – there is a high level of recurrence. There is a lack of information and support for patients.  With your help, Action Bladder Cancer UK can radically improve this. 

The role

ABC UK is an established charity, with exciting new projects. We have an active network of volunteers, a full time Chief Executive and core staff and a range of project staff.  You will report to Chief Executive ABC UK and will work closely with our ABC UK Patient Support team, ABC UK trustees and patient volunteers.

The role supports ABC UK’s core Patient Support Programme.  We provide information and support for those with bladder cancer, a direct patient support service, help establish and sustain support groups for bladder cancer patients, provide patient information about bladder cancer to patients and major centres of bladder cancer treatment, and run bladder cancer information events (both online and face to face).  We also work to increase our networks with health professionals, to help them support their patients.  We run the ABC UK Education Programme for health professionals and you will be involved in planning and delivering nurse education events.  We want to build our networks both regionally and nationally and to be responsive to the need for information, awareness and support for those with bladder cancer, and the health professionals treating them. We now want to add to the team to increase our impact even further.

You will work remotely, however very much working as part of the Patient Support team, and working closely with other colleagues and volunteers, with regular catch-up meetings (online) and occasional face to face team meetings.  You will also be required to travel as necessary for meetings and patient or health professional events and to help create and sustain our networks with health professionals and cancer support services.  You will be based in the North of England and within easy travelling distance of centres such as Sheffield, Leeds, Hull and further North and adjacent counties.  We may consider candidates outside of these regions, if they have directly appropriate experience and skills.

 Who we are looking for…

You will be in contact with a range of different people including volunteers, patients, health professionals and other organisations.  The successful candidate will:

• be friendly and approachable, able to work flexibly, with resilience and efficiency and to be professional at all times and be able to work to our very high standards;
• be empathetic and understanding of the needs of cancer patients and how best to deliver this in practical terms;
• ideally have some health service or charity experience - not essential but preferable;
• be required to understand the structure of the NHS;
• have experience of working from home – a self-starter and organised – you will be a worker and willing to get stuck in and show results;
• be able to work remotely with line manager, other team colleagues, volunteers, patients and ABC UK administration office;
• be able to attend meetings as required and also travel as necessary for engagement with hospitals/patient support groups, events etc;
• be good at building networks and maintaining useful relationships;
• promote the work of ABC UK and work to raise awareness of bladder cancer;
• be confident at presenting and talking to groups of people – whether general public, patients or health professionals;

have experience and understanding of working for a small organisation.

Skills

You will need to:

• be able to communicate effectively with health professionals, other charity professionals and bladder cancer patients both face to face and via phone or email;
• have good organisational skills and be disciplined about working from home (it is likely you will already have experience of remote working);
• be comfortable communicating and carrying out a lot of your work by phone and email and online platforms (eg Zoom), you will have excellent verbal and written skills;
• be an excellent team member – we all work closely together as well as on own work;
• have good computer skills: Outlook, Word, basic Excel, maintaining a database, Zoom etc;
• have experience of organising and attending events (preferably for patients or within a health environment); be happy to speak at events. Have experience of online events;
• be able to work with and organise volunteers;
• be able to travel for meetings and events as required (occasionally out of office hours);
• possess a clean driving licence and have easy access to a car (mileage will be paid).

Key Responsibilities

 Networking

• Contact point for Hospitals/Urology Depts/Cancer Centres. Making pro-active contact and arranging supply of bladder cancer patient information and building relationships on a regional basis;
• Building contacts with specialist urology/cancer nurses, making them aware of ABC UK and our resources;
• Maintaining up-to-date contact database: including major urology departments, cancer centres, regional cancer networks etc;
• Regional contacts (working with volunteer patient advisors) – including regional cancer networks/charities etc – to build local networks;
• Co-ordinating periodic mailings of ABC UK patient information materials to hospitals/urology services (mailing handled by central admin).

Events

• ABC UK runs both face to face and online events.  Organising and attending ABC UK patient and health professional events, working as part of a team with other ABC UK Patient Support Officers and volunteers;
• Occasional attendance at/involvement with regional cancer events, health professional and/or patient or well-being events (including taking the ABC UK stand to such events);
• You will also be required to present at events on occasion – both online and face to face;
• Organising, development of (with colleagues) and participation in ABC UK online patient events and face to face events, and ABC UK health professional events both online and face to face.

Patient Support Groups

ABC UK works to help set up and maintain support groups for bladder cancer patients – these groups are self-running, often linked to a major hospital. 

• Help maintain database of Groups: contact details, details of meeting etc – including information for updating ABC UK website and ABC UK social media;
• Acting as ABC UK contact point for bladder cancer patient support groups, including making presentations;
• Pro-actively maintaining regular contact with PSG’s – re supply of ABC UK materials, updating info, ascertaining needs re other materials or support required and developing best practice case studies;
• Working with health professionals wanting to set up new groups, periodically attending group meetings and meeting volunteers.

Patient Materials

Working with ABC UK Executive, ABC UK Patient Support team and patient volunteers on the development of patient information materials both on-line and in print.

Communications

• News Updates: contributing as part of a team on regular news updates for health professionals, support groups and patients;
• Social media: working as part of a team on increasing ABC UK social media presence.

You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey towards sustainability.

As a practical thinker, you will work creatively to identify stakeholders and assets in areas of high need. You will build local connections and bring together kinship carers across the region, empowering them to build resilient and robust peer support communities.

You will be an inspirational and energetic team leader with experience in providing day-to-day line management and operational support for a small team.

We are ideally looking for candidates based in or around Greater London and willing to work initially across the London Boroughs and into the South East of England. This role may involve work to establish groups on the periphery of this area that currently have no dedicated development staff.

A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential, as this role may require travel across London and its periphery to reach areas in need of dedicated support.

Key responsibilities: 

Service delivery:

• In person (face-to-face) strategic outreach into local and regional communities including setting up and attending local engagement events.
• Work creatively to set up and develop new sustainable in peer support groups, attending up to six sessions in person (if needed) before transition to self-sufficiency.  Existing groups that are at risk, closed or need support will need replacing or rejuvenating to maintain DfE service level agreements across the team, in addition to new groups. 
• Recruit and retain support group leaders to develop their peer support groups.
• Deliver training to support group leaders (group roles and responsibilities, safeguarding, setting up, running and promoting a group).
• Develop strong boundaries and positive relationships with support group leaders – building resilience, empowerment and community.
• Support established groups in your area to access support group leader networks and training (this includes visiting groups in person) to build a peer community.

 About the role

This role is community-based and focuses on engaging kinship carers, bringing them together to form Peer Support Groups, and supporting them to achieve independence at which point they will receive ongoing support from our national Hub.

You will do this by working with local authorities, schools, other charities and community groups. Arranging information events such as coffee mornings to engage kinship carers. You’ll create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive community for kinship carers, building belonging, resilience, and empowerment.

Funded by the Department of Education, the National Peer Support Service is a game-changing service that creates a sustainable and life-changing legacy. It builds on Kinship’s 10 years of experience in developing peer support groups and two years of delivering a national service that has set up 145 new groups.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking an individual located in South East of England, who possesses the drive, passion, and skills to:

• Develop new Peer Support Groups across a diverse range of communities
• Demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm required to achieve key targets and objectives
• Work collaboratively within the Peer Support and Community Team, as well as throughout the broader organisation, to ensure the development of safe and effective support services for the kinship community.
• Maintain current Peer Support Group levels, taking the lead from the national Hub.
• Maintain accurate records that are used to populate reports, identify learning and share key insights across Kinship that allow the organisation to continuously improve our services and products.

You should have experience in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with various community-based stakeholders such as local authorities, health services, schools, charities, and kinship carers. You will need to understand the key success factors involved in establishing and developing new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as how to support existing groups in their journey towards sustainability.

As a practical thinker, you will work creatively to identify stakeholders and assets in areas of high need. You will build local connections and bring together kinship carers across the region, empowering them to build resilient and robust peer support communities.

You will be confident in building relationships that generate referrals from external stakeholders and in contacting kinship carers directly to secure engagement with local coffee mornings, community, and training events that will help kick-start a thriving peer support group.

As you establish new groups, you will provide support and training to help them lead their groups effectively, and develop their group culture, resilience, and skills to function independently while offering reassurance and support to empower them.

We are ideally looking for candidates based close or within easy reach of our priority development areas in the South East of England which include; Reading, Oxfordshire, West Berkshire, Slough and Hampshire but also able to travel to locations along the M4 corridor.

An essential requirement of the role is to be a driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.

 Key responsibilities:

• In-person (face-to-face) strategic outreach into local communities including setting up and attending local engagement events.
• Set up and develop sustainable in person peer support groups, initially attending and leading sessions in person before transition to self-sufficiency. 
• Working with existing groups that are at risk, closed or need support that need replacing or rejuvenating to maintain DfE service level agreement, in addition to new groups. Targets are subject to change and are not fixed.

As part of the ARUK Leadership Team, the Head of Philanthropy plays a pivotal role in leading the charity to accelerate progress towards a cure. We are seeking a Project Research Officer to join our small team to work on a new project, which examines the use of data and powers by HMRC in addressing offshore tax compliance.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working with the Director and existing Research Analyst to conduct a research project examining the ways in which HMRC addresses offshore compliance, with a focus on its use of information and existing enforcement powers, identifying areas where compliance could be improved.

Develop and undertake the research project within specified timescales, from inception to delivery, in collaboration with the wider TaxWatch team, driving the project forward, providing updates on progress the Director and Trustees. This will involve:

· Identifying key stakeholders relevant to the project, developing and building relationships, conducting interviews, gaining insight from their knowledge and experiences and identifying areas for further investigation.

· Requesting and analysing information from HMRC.

· Analysing both qualitative and quantitative data to identify key findings and making policy and procedural recommendations based on the findings.

· Producing high quality written work, including long form written reports based on the research undertaken.

· Liaising with other organisations, journalists, politicians and government bodies to publicise the findings of the report.

· A limited amount of administrative tasks that support the running of the project including documentation of research findings and tracking Freedom of Information requests on team systems.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Director of People & Finance, the Head of Finance will oversee financial activities in the charity with the support of a team of two.  The Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial management, planning, and reporting functions to ensure the charity's fiscal health and compliance with regulatory standards. This role takes responsibility for developing and implementing financial strategies, managing budgets, forecasting, and financial risk, as well as ensuring accurate financial records and reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. The Head of Finance works closely with SLT to align financial planning with the charity's mission and business plan, provides financial insights for decision-making, and ensures that funding is managed efficiently to maximise impact. Strategic Purpose:

• Oversee the financial operations of the charity

• Responsible for cash management, and manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports to inform working capital requirements
• Monitoring ongoing budgetary performance and efficiency and the production of monthly management accounts
• Responsibility for financial postings to the charity accounting system
• Manage all aspects of financial management and ensure financial procedures, policies and systems are up to date and fit-for-purpose
• Claiming gift aid in a timely manner
• Submitting the monthly pension file to the Pension Administrator in a timely manner
• Process all payments to suppliers, staff and HMRC in a timely manner
• Deliver an efficient month-end and year-end process

• Preparing and submitting the VAT return for the charity on a quarterly basis
• Filing corporation tax, charity and Companies House returns
• Undertake any finance-related activities necessary to support the charity
• Providing financial training for non-financial managers

Skills /Experience / Knowledge:

Essential:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a senior finance role, with knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial risk management
• Experience working in the charity sector, with a strong understanding of charity accounting standards and relevant tax regulations
• Ability to oversee cash flow, financial transactions, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Experience with HMRC compliance, pension administration, and ensuring regulatory adherence

The Talent Set are working with a brilliant Animal Charity to recruit a Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships to lead a newly structured team, leading income growth across Major Donor, Corporate, Trusts and Legacy gifts.

What’s on offer:

Salary: circa £55,000 dependant on experience

Key duties include:

· Lead on the development and operational delivery of the philanthropy and fundraising partnerships strategy, encompassing work across the high-value donor, legacies, trusts and corporate fundraising income streams.

· Maintain relationships with existing high-value donors and funders, through the provision of exemplary stewardship including reports, mailings, phone calls and face to face meetings.

· Oversee the continued development and growth of the charity’s global legacy programme, including the production of legacy mailings, telemarketing, offline and digital advertising, and features, as well as correspondence with supporters, solicitors and other stakeholders.

About the role

Sightsavers’ work in the field of education is driven by the principle of inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. We are looking for a Global Technical Lead – Inclusive Education to provide technical leadership and expertise in inclusive education to guide the development and delivery of specific initiatives and programmes.

As the Global Technical Lead for Inclusive Education, you will support Sightsavers to promote inclusive education for children, youth, and adults with disabilities in education systems in West Africa, East, Central and Southern Africa (ECSA), and South Asia. Working across multiple countries, you will ensure that disability inclusion is at the centre of conceptualisation, design and implementation of Sightsavers’ projects.

Strong communication skills in English and French are essential for this role, as is the availability to travel 12-16 weeks a year, nationally and internationally.

• To provide technical leadership and expertise in inclusive education at the programmatic level
• To strengthen the global programme portfolio in inclusive education through leading strategic and technical inputs in proposal development for funding opportunities.

We are looking for a skilled communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships across different departments and work collaboratively as a member of our cross-functional teams.

• Business to fluent French language skills
• A Postgraduate qualification (minimum Master’s) or equivalent experience in a relevant field, e.g. education, special needs education; disability, international development
• A proven record of leading, developing and implementing programmes in inclusive education in lower income countries.
• Experience of working with national governments and international institutions such as Global Partnership for Education, UN agencies, bilateral agencies as well as non-state actors to contribute to education system transformation.
• Knowledge of current developments, issues and best practice in inclusive education to effectively address the barriers to education for children with disabilities
• Able to travel for up to 12-16 weeks a year (regional and international).

Following its successful relaunch, the Air Cadet Charity is seeking a highly motivated Trust and Major Donor Fundraiser to help it achieve its aims of supporting and developing the young people of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Air Cadet Charity, until now, has had to rely on donations but Trustees have decided to expand our income generation streams in order to enable us to do more for each and every Royal Air Force Air Cadet. Our activities and projects include supporting flying, adventurous training, drone piloting, participation in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, national sports and national music competitions, BTEC qualifications, STEM development as well as many others. Although the Charity had been around in a different guise for many years this is an opportunity to join a vibrant young charity at the start of its new journey to do more for the young people of our Nation.

The role will focus chiefly on sourcing funding from charitable trusts who share our goal of developing our young people, equipping them with the skills to prosper not only in the present but also for the rest of their lives. Some cadets will join the Royal Air Force, but the majority go on to forge careers in all walks of life thanks to the opportunities provided by the Air Cadets and the Air Cadet Charity. Our policy is to spend all that we earn and to dip into our capital if required. Annual expenditure and income is around £900,000 each year and our aim is to increase this to around £1,500,000 by 2029. The successful applicant will have tried and tested charitable trust fundraising skills such that they contribute the majority of the additional funds required to make this ambition a reality although we recognise that this will not be an overnight goal!  In addition, the successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills enabling them to encourage donations from major donors and all who would wish to support the development of our young people.

The role will work directly to the Charity Director, will suit someone who is able to work as the sole fundraiser – although there may be scope to increase our resources as our ambition grows – and not afraid of hard work and added responsibility. It will be primarily working from home with regular contact with the Charity Director and the Trustees responsible for fundraising.

Pitching, presenting and proposal writing should be a strength, that can be evidenced through successful fundraising. Specific knowledge of charitable trust fundraising is essential and wider knowledge of other fundraising specialisms would be advantageous, such as Major Donor and Corporate. We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious team player, able to work from your own initiative.

Key Focus areas

• Expert knowledge of charitable trust fundraising with a track record in designing and securing major gifts through written and/or verbal proposals.
• A track record in securing income from individual donors, Major Donors and Philanthropists including knowledge of legacy fundraising.
• Develop engaging supporter journeys and Legacy pipelines.
• Provide an exceptional experience to our supporters.
• Strong understanding of fundraising principles but most importantly doing the right thing at all times.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
