As our Applications Specialist, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting and maintaining our core business applications, ensuring systems are secure, up to date and delivering value. You’ll work across application patching, software deployment, licensing and compliance, with a strong focus on collaboration across teams and suppliers.

We’re looking for someone with experience in supporting enterprise applications, experienced with Microsoft Intune, who is highly organised and confident engaging with both technical and non-technical colleagues. You’ll have a strong understanding of security and compliance, and a drive to keep learning and improving the way we use our technology.

The Head of Food, Oceans and Land Use (FOLU) – African Partnerships is accountable for setting and delivering ClientEarth’s programmes and impact strategies in Africa in line with our global mission and strategy. This role mobilises and orchestrates ClientEarth’s programme experts to deliver activities and impact through engagement with partners based in West and Central Africa.

ClientEarth’s FOLU Africa programme works to build, implement and enforce effective laws, as a vital part of building governance systems that better and more equitably manage forests and other ecosystems. The programme is founded on long-term partnerships with lawyers and civil society organisations based in West and Central Africa.

The Head of FOLU – African Partnerships operates under the global mandate of the Chief Programmes and Impact Officer. As such, the post-holder leads initiatives that are primarily focused on our work in Africa, while continuing to collaborate globally and embody the principles of “One ClientEarth”, driving global level systemic change. 

Main Duties

• Regional Programme Strategy -Lead strategy development and implementation with respect to Food, Oceans and Land Use (FOLU) in Africa; Is accountable for the delivery of ClientEarth’s programmatic initiatives in Africa through close collaboration with partners and employing the range of ClientEarth’s tools, including litigation, capacity sharing, legal advocacy and influencing. 
• External Leadership & Partnerships - Lead ClientEarth’s relationships with partners in Africa, ensuring best practice in partner engagement.  
• Staff Management - Define, in collaboration with line-managed staff members, individual work priorities and well-tailored and achievable work programmes, delegating tasks and responsibilities accordingly;  

Role requirements

• Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English
• Proficiency in French
• Law degree or other legal qualification
• Experience of working in the not-for-profit sector in Africa, including working on programmatic strategy and impact measurement
• Experience in large grant budget management and donor reporting, preferably institutional funds from a multilateral/bilateral donor 
• Strong commitment and understanding of human rights issues, especially as they relate to the rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion considerations

About the Angelou Centre

Job Purpose

The Ruth Strauss Foundation is looking to grow its fundraising team and this role will play a pivotal part in developing Individual Giving for the organisation. This role will lead the Individual Giving and Legacy programme, responsible for building the database of regular givers, introducing new campaigns and products to acquire new donors and increase retention rates and lifetime donor value.

This role will be responsible for developing a supporter centric marketing strategy generating a supporter journey which drives excellent supporter experience, creating a RSF family of donors. This role will develop products for in memory fundraising and build our legacy programme from scratch, developing a legacy fundraising strategy and subsequent comms plan and journey.

Key Responsibilities

Key activities

• Produce a 3 year programme strategy for Individual Giving and Legacy fundraising contributing to the ambitious growth strategy for RSF
• Project management of a year long Individual Giving communications plan and associated campaigns/products.
• Produce a marketing strategy for our individual givers which focusing on increasing the number of new donors acquired as well increasing retention, average value donated and gift aid conversions of our existing database.
• Introduce new in memory products and campaigns to support fundraisers wishing to raise funds in memory of a loved one.
• Introduce a legacy marketing strategy to grow legacy fundraising at RSF, introducing KPIs to monitor impact across pledgers and intenders
• Establish business rules for recording Individual giving data on Salesforce to ensure that future analysis of the programme is robust and reliable
• Introduce new fundraising campaigns to reach new audiences and re-engage with existing donors
• Project management and delivery of existing Individual giving campaigns
• Introduce new individual giving campaigns to the portfolio, identifying key opportunities in the year using audience understanding, aligning with RSF’s strategy
• Work closely with gift in wills organisations to grow RSF’s legacy fundraising, reaching new audiences, connecting with solicitors across the UK
• Work with the Head of Finance to develop a legacy administration process
• Budget management and post activity delivery metric analysis, ensuring a robust contingency planning process is in place
• Development of fundraising collateral in conjunction with campaigns/products
• Coordinate the marketing requirements for each activity, producing pre and post communications/marketing collateral – including working with external production companies where required
• Set up product/campaign processes including fulfilment and supporter stewardship
• Ensure all individual giving and legacy activities are compliant with fundraising code of conduct, GDPR and other IG processes/policies
• Conduct regular sector wide and competitor research to stay ahead of trends and maximiseopportunities for RSF

Expertise required

• Exceptional experience of managing an individual giving programme, managing a range of campaigns/products of varying size and scale including acquisition activity, warm appeals and reactivation
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills including budget management, project management and prioritisation.
• Excellent data analytical skills, able to set up processes to capture data and analyse data to ensure strategic decisions are based on audience insight and analysis
• Experience of developing plans and budgets, and reporting against financial targets and key performance indicators
• Experience working with CRM systems and project planning tools
• Excellent communication skills – able to utilise data analysis to produce compelling fundraising communications, understanding supporter motivations, engaging audiences to generate fundraising growth.

About the Ruth Strauss Foundation

In early 2018, Ruth Strauss, the wife of Sir Andrew Strauss the former England cricket captain, was diagnosed with an incurable lung cancer that affects non-smokers. Ruth died on December 29th 2018; she was 46 years old and mother to two children, then aged 10 and 13.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legacy Officer to join our team. You would be responsible for your share of the legacy administration cases in the UK, ensuring that gifts left to IFAW in Wills are handled efficiently, sensitively, and in accordance with legal and organisational standards. You would report to the Global Legacy Administration Manager on a day-to-day basis. Your work will directly support IFAW’s mission by maximising income from legacies to fund our animal welfare and conservation efforts.

Role and Responsibilities

· Managing a caseload of legacy gifts: This includes pecuniary, residuary and life interest legacies, ensuring IFAW receives its full entitlement in a timely manner. This may include a small selection of contentious cases.

· Working closely with solicitors, executors, and beneficiaries: You’ll provide accurate and sensitive support throughout the probate process, building trust and ensuring a smooth experience for all parties involved.

· Maintaining meticulous records and reports: You’ll ensure accurate financial and contact records are kept, reports are generated on time, and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements is met.

· Providing recommendations for action: You’ll provide your suggestions to move forward any legacy case where action needs to be sanctioned by management or Trustees, or where there may be a risk to the charity's reputation.

· Assisting with monthly/annual reconciliation and audit: This includes following our financial rules to make appropriate accruals, adjustments, and provide audit-ready case files.

· Liasing with other teams within IFAW: When appropriate, you’ll work collaboratively with other teams, such as Finance, Donor Relations or the Legal team, to ensure a seamless process for legacy gifts, and to promote the legacy team’s recognition and standing in the organisation through internal engagement.

· Staying up to date on relevant legislation and best practices: You’ll be a member of the ILM and regularly keep abreast of changes in the world on legacy case management, to ensure IFAW’s legacy administration remains efficient and compliant.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· At least 1 year of experience in legacy administration or estate management: You’ll have a strong understanding of probate laws, Wills, trust, and estate administration. Experience of using FirstClass is desirable.

· Achieved or willing to work towards certification: You have or will work towards gaining the ILM’s Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration (CiCLA).

Service Delivery:

MaidEnergy is a renewable energy Society, which supports the growth of renewable energy infrastructure projects for the benefit of the local community. Thanks to National Lottery players, we are expanding. 

MaidEnergy supports the growth of locally generated and locally owned renewable energy in Maidenhead, Windsor, Egham, Staines and the surrounding area. We are a community business, democratically run, with an asset lock to preserve the solar panels or other energy generation infrastructure for the benefit of the community.

We launched our first renewable electricity generating community Solar Photovoltaic (PV) share offer in 2015. Since then people have demonstrated their faith in us by investing £970,000. Their investment has funded eight Solar PV installations totalling 640kW and a 60kW Ground Source Heat Pump. These installations have brought low carbon, lower priced renewable energy to public organisations and seen 260 local and national investors join a movement of ethical and financially rewarding community ownership.

MaidEnergy works by:

· Finding community buildings that are interested in cutting carbon emissions

· Raising community finance from people in the local area and throughout the UK, through the issuing and managing of community share schemes, to fund installations

· Providing all relevant legal documents and arranging grid export capability

· Managing the installation and all ongoing maintenance

· Working with sites to maximize financial, environmental, and community benefit

MaidEnergy has achieved all this with volunteer Directors, supported by committed volunteers and specialist contractors as required.   MaidEnergy is part of Community Energy People and is now looking to employ a second co-ordinator to increase our capacity and improve the consistency of our response.

Job Title:  MaidEnergy Project Co-ordinator

Terms:   Probationary 6 month period.  £14,000 for 15hrs per week (£35,000 FTE pro rata).  Working hours can be flexible to fit around an existing role or circumstances.

Role:  This is primarily a remote working role but with the support of MaidEnergy’s experienced team and monthly in-person meetings (usually in Maidenhead).

About this role

The Global Account Manager position will drive the GSK/Amref Health Africa strategic partnership. You will play an integral role in the management of GSK-funded programmes and projects, ensuring timely delivery, effective monitoring, and excellent stewardship of the GSK account. You will be responsible for providing overall quality assurance and oversight for projects and grants/contracts within the GSK portfolio, and for managing related risks and contractual compliance.

This position will build relationships with Amref Headquarters (HQ) and Country Office (CO) teams to ensure co-creation of GSK programmes, taking into account community and Ministry of Health needs, as well as partnership objectives. You will work with geographically and culturally diverse teams, using various channels to showcase the impact of the programmes and partnership. Travel to Africa, Europe and within the UK will be required for the purposes of partner stewardship, programme monitoring, and participation at conferences and events.
