THET and CPA work in partnership with 24 Health Partnerships (HPs) across 8 countries to deliver a comprehensive 4.5-million-pound programme to address global antimicrobial resistance. The programme leverages international cooperation between health organisations working across hospital systems to improve the use of and thus conserve the efficacy of the antimicrobials, and strengthen systems of infection prevention and control (IPC), to reduce the frequency that these drugs are used.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
The aim is for the Evaluation to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, impact, sustainability, and relevance of the CwPAMS2(Commonwealth Partnerships for Antimicrobial Stewardship Programm) programme's activities and outcomes.
The purpose of this consultancy is to conduct an independent external evaluation of the CwPAMS2
programme to:
- Assess the broader impact of the programme across the 8 countries of implementation and the UK.
- Assess the extent to which the programme objectives and expected outcomes in the logframe have been achieved.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the programme’s design and implementation, including grant management.
- Collect case studies for each country
- Identify lessons learned, best practices, and areas for improvement.
- Provide actionable recommendations to enhance future programme design and implementation.
- The evaluator(s) will work closely with the THET and CPA teams to navigate existing data and interpret results. The evaluator(s) may want to conduct interviews with THET and CPA and In-Country Consultants to bolster learning gleaned from existing data.

Solihull Integrated Addiction Service (SIAS) is a partnership between four organisations jointly responsible for the delivery of the drug, alcohol, homelessness and gambling services, in the Borough of Solihull. We offer services for adults who use or are affected by substance use, homelessness and gambling.
Your challenge? As a Floating Housing Support Worker, you will be working with clients who are vulnerably housed or homeless, working in clients’ homes and various locations to support clients in addressing their substance needs, finding accommodation and being able to live independently.The service covers support for clients who are homeless and at risk of becoming homeless, as well as a more structured longer-term floating support service to enable clients to maintain their tenancies. You will understand the barriers clients face to accessing services, and the impact substance use has on sustaining accommodation.
To succeed, you’ll:
- Have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care.

The University of Essex is excited to have formed a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the Minstead Trust. The Minstead Trust is a charity based in Hampshire, which works in collaboration with people with learning disabilities and their family carers, to enable them to achieve greater independence and live happier and healthier lives. One of their main areas of work is accommodation support. As they transition into adult accommodation support services, adults with a learning disability, their family carers, and Minstead Trust accommodation support staff form a tripartite relationship through which support is planned and delivered within the Minstead Trust. However, to date practices in support provision have differed, leading to miscommunications, relationship difficulties, and some areas of inconsistency and discontinuity in provided support and living circumstances. There are also often difficulties experienced during the transition from child to adult learning disability services. These are sector wide issues, which ultimately impact service users’ participation in the various activities and occupations that provide meaning, purpose, and routine within their everyday lives.
The KTP will last for 24 months and utilise a participatory action research (PAR) approach to engage relevant stakeholders who comprise and surround the tripartite relationship described above. Together they will co-produce, implement, and evaluate distinct new ways of working. These new ways of working will revolutionise engagement between adults with learning disabilities, their family carers, and Minstead Trust staff, and lead to improved experiences for all stakeholders.
As a KTP, the KTP Associate role constitutes more than just the completion of a research project, as the focus of the role is to facilitate knowledge transfer between the University and the Minstead Trust. A key objective is that the KTP also embeds the capability of co-production within the Minstead Trust through staff engagement and support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporter care and ideally have prior experience in a donor support role or experience in customer service, administration as well as data entry. You will be looking for 37.5 hours a week and have the ability to work flexibly including some evenings and weekends to support at our charity or donor events.
Main duties of the job
This is an integral role which aspires to give our supporters the best possible experience on their fundraising journey with the aim of building long term relationships. The role will take a lead on Supporter Care with all donors for the charity team, acting as a helpful and knowledgeable “front-line face” for patients, families, staff and volunteers.
Key duties:
- Manage the start and end of the stewardship journey for all donors and fundraisers by dealing with all enquiries through email, post or phone or face to face at the office ensuring that we meet the best standards of donor care
- Manage post and charity office filing system and the banking and thanking process
- Maintain relationships through regular contact with donors throughout their fundraising journey offering any support or guidance needed to maximise their giving
- Act as a dynamic presence, leading and recruiting volunteers, community groups and small companies to organise fundraisers for our charity
- Build fantastic connections with patients, NHS staff, volunteers and our wider community to recruit new donors, fundraisers, volunteers and charity champions
- Support in growing the number of supporters playing the hospital lottery and those giving through our hospital ‘giving plaques
- Support all fundraising activity and represent the charity at events
- Manage and maintain the CRM system (donorfy) which includes entering all donor data including financial transactions and communications
- Send updates to supporters to retain and increase life-time value and reactivate lapsed donors
- Send donation reports to the charity team
- Make suggestions on how to improve supporter care and implement these ideas
- To recruit and manage office based volunteers

We currently raise between £1-2m a year for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust which has four sites local to Hertfordshire, including the Lister Hospital (Stevenage) and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (North London). This is an excitign opportunity to lead our Youth Work programme and Day Centre provision at NHYC. This position is a six-month fixed-term contract to cover a staff member going on sabbatical. The contract is planned to run from February-August 2025. We are looking for someone who is able to maintain stable and consistent leadership for the team throughout that period, is a quick learner, and confident overseeing multiple programmes and activities. Given the short length of the contract, we encourage applications from those who may not have been in a more senior leadership position before and would like the opportunity to gain experience. It would also suit anyone with prior experience who is keen to work in a dynamic environment and is passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of young people facing homelessness.
