About the Advocacy team:
You will be working as part of the Advocacy & Government Relations team in the Advocacy & Influence Directorate. The team is made up of 8 members who work across the whole of the UK speaking up for cats. Our campaigns change laws to better protect the health and welfare of cats.
What we’re looking for in our Advocacy and Government Relations Officer for Wales:
- Experience of advocacy, public affairs or influencing work (which may include campaigns), ideally in Wales
- Lives within a commutable distance of Cardiff or willing to relocate to the area

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 300,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Service Delivery Support Coordinator will support the growth, membership and data management of our Service Delivery footprint across the whole of the UK.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To ensure membership renewals of supported schools are processed each year including contract renewal and payment as well as disengaging schools.

To ensure accurate impact and performance reporting for each school is reviewed and sent to the relevant Engagement Partner including Local Authority Impact reports.

We need an experienced leader to guide our future strategy and development of the charity, to support, and report to, the existing Trustee Team. Wellbeing in the Weald was set up 5 years ago, and is a small local charity based in Cranbrook, Kent. We offer and assist in the provision of activities and initiatives in Cranbrook and the surrounding areas to promote health and social inclusion. This enables people of all ages to try new things, learn new skills and make new connections in the community, whilst benefitting from improved mental health and wellbeing.
Current activities include welcome drop-ins, crafts for wellbeing, community allotment, youth club, words for wellbeing, community nature walks, men’s cookery course, evening book club, volunteering, and other social activities that bring people together on a regular basis.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the charity and ensuring these are in line with objectives.

Working arrangements:

Remuneration:
The rate of pay will be £20ph for an initial 6-month contract. Part of the CEO’s role will be to help bring in income and raise funds for the charity. The CEO position and salary will therefore be reviewed at the end of 6 months by the Trustees, with a view to extending the contract/making the position permanent.

Our current Trustee Team is made up of seven working / retired professionals and their details can be found on both the Wellbeing in the Weald website, as well as on the Charity Commission website.
Location:

• Manage regional suicide prevention activities, collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver impactful results.

About the role:
The Advance Specialist Prison & Probation Advocate will support women within the prison setting, provide pre-release support, focused on Accommodation, Finance, debt & benefits, Family & significant others and Social inclusion including ‘through the gate’ support.
This exciting new role will be based in HMP Bronzefield and will support in developing referral pathways for women and work in partnership with different departments and services within the prison as well as those in the community. You will co-design an action plan with women accessing support, enabling you to support them to address their accommodation, finance, debt and benefits and health needs and any risks in relation to the interventions identified, as they prepare for release. The role will involve a combination of casework-based approach with delivery of programmes and courses, along with a signposting and advice service for the women in custody.
You will have demonstrable experience and understanding of working with women in a challenging multi-agency environment, ideally working with prisoners and/or their families.
You will build strong relationships with the Pre Release teams to ensure clients are able to maintain or access suitable accommodation, finance, benefits and debt, family and social inclusion support including negotiating terms on behalf of the women. Ensure that interventions are responsive to and meet the needs of women from diverse and minoritised backgrounds. This, together with referrals to wider partner organisations in the community, will ensure additional support needs are addressed post-release and continuity of support exists.
A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential
About You:
To be successful as the Advance Specialist Prison & Probation Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
Knowledge and experience of the criminal justice system obtained through academic study, experience of working in the criminal justice system (or closely associated social system).
The ability and experience as a caseworker delivering gender specific and trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of female adults in the criminal justice system whether in the community or in prisons.
You will possess excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work in a prison environment whilst remaining calm.
Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of managing a caseload including maintaining and updating records, remaining focused on action plan goals, and keeping to deadlines
You will have the ability to complete trauma informed, support and action plans in collaboration with the woman; to support in addressing their multiple and individual needs and enable them to engage with services, which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

About the Role
As CRM Technician, you will provide support and development for the CRM database (currently Blackbaud CRM) for end-users in the UK, Ireland and Europe, and will support users by facilitating efficient data capture, processing, manipulation and reporting on fundraising activities.

Responsible Finance is the membership association for the UK’s Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFIs). Purpose of the role
The Programme Manager will manage the delivery of key projects and support the Programme Director in overseeing the smooth running of a Programme Management Office (PMO) ensuring that the CEO and Board have the information needed to steer the success of the Programme.

- You are tasked with gathering regular programme reporting information from a group of Responsible Finance’s CDFI members. You will need to turn this into a report for the funder. Please describe how you would go about collecting the information, synthesizing it, and writing up a report.
- You are responsible for managing a grant awarding process for Responsible Finance’s CDFI members to build operational capacity. JPMorgan Chase has provided funding for Responsible Finance to onward grant. Briefly describe the key stages of the process that you would incorporate, and why, and highlight the key considerations for Responsible Finance in awarding grants to members.

Contract: 2-year fixed term contract with possibility of becoming permanent
Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience)
