ROLE PURPOSE
This is an exciting new role which will build on an existing programme of supporting patient engagement in research, clinical trial development and clinical trials for lupus at a time of increased interest and activity in this area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery
- Act as the first point of contact for researchers and pharma companies seeking to involve members of the public in their research or trials.
- Work to build a network of patients around the UK with an interest in being involved with PPIE.
- Work with the Health Information Manager to identify and facilitate any support needs of the PPIE network.
- Support and facilitate PPIE in all stages of lupus research.
- Support PPIE in Lupus UK’s research grants process.
- Support engagement with diverse under-served communities.
- Ensure equality, diversity, and inclusion considerations in PPIE methods and communications
Other
- Uphold the values and expectations of LUPUS UK.
- Carry out other duties relevant to your post as reasonably required.
- Occasional evening and weekend working and travel may be required to support our broader activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience of working directly with patients and/or members of the public.
- Experience of supporting Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) activity.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
- Experience of working in PPIE within a similar environment (desirable).
- Experience of working within research or the health sector (desirable).
- Experience of working with stakeholders, such as healthcare organisations, public groups,and professional networks (desirable).
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- A strong understanding of best practice in PPIE within research.
- Knowledge of different types of research and the various stages of the research process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communicationfor diverse audiences.
- A demonstrable commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in allengagement activities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to facilitate focus groups, workshops, and public forums (desirable).

Blue Marine Foundation seeks to protect and restore life in the ocean, aiming to see at least 30 per cent of the world’s oceans protected by 2030. We are a dynamic NGO at the heart of cutting-edge marine conservation, headquartered in London but operating globally with around 50 projects in 25 countries around the world.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Executive Assistant to join Blue Marine with a focus on optimising our ability to deliver conservation through supporting the CEO and senior leadership team with facilitation, coordination and logistics.
The role will primarily support the five members of the senior leadership team with day-to-day operational functions, keeping on-top of decisions and actions agreed in meetings and ensuring organisational policies and procedures are followed. This role will also support the wider organisation with logistics for group travel bookings, global conferences and other ad-hoc duties.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally organised and efficient facilitator, engaged in our mission and the people who deliver it. You do not need to have previous experience as an executive assistant, but it will be expected that you can demonstrate a high level of competency to deliver the responsibilities of the role with confidence, initiative and sound judgement.
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience, in addition to a generous benefits package.

Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Finance, Operations and Governance, you will:

- Assist the wider organisation with travel bookings, ensuring value for money on complex trips and group bookings.
- Support the Head of Operations in ensuring policies and procedures are followed and internal communications are maintained.

You will manage a team to drive initiatives that bridge water quality, environmental health, and public policy. Plus, you’ll oversee Planet Patrol’s free mobile app and build collaborative relationships with other NGOs. Key responsibilities:
● Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of three direct reports and a network of contractors, that develops and manages all of Planet Patrol’s programmes and campaigns.
● Programme Development: Design and implement comprehensive programme plans with clear milestones and deliverables. Monitor performance, measure impact, and adjust strategies to achieve ambitious outcomes.
● Representation and Advocacy: Serve as a spokesperson for Planet Patrol at key events, conferences, and media engagements. Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and policymakers to advance our mission.

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Global Finance Manager to join their team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.
As a Global Finance Manager with Clean Air Fund, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the organisation’s finance function. You will be responsible for managing our newly implemented accounting system, overseeing financial and statutory reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and maintaining strong financial controls. This role reports to the Head of Finance and works closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and the Corporate Services team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A formal CCAB accountancy qualification with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Experience in the NGO or philanthropic sector, with knowledge of Charity SORP and relevant statutory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of financial and accounting processes, including control environments, risk management, and reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience in producing and analysing financial reports.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

CleanupUK provides a spark in local communities that need some help and encouragement to tackle the challenge of litter where they are. - You will be implementing the existing workplan for 2025, complemented with your own input into maximising CleanupUK’s revenue from trusts, foundations and The Lottery
- You will be managing the Local/Regional Trust and Foundation Fundraiser to help them maximise their revenue
- In conjunction with the Chief Executive, you will be nurturing the key funder relationships that CleanupUK already has
- You will be developing strong and close relationships with new key trust and foundation funders
- You will be working closely with our Corporate Partnerships and Operations teams
- You will be contributing to CleanupUK’s future strategy
Requirements
- A passion for dealing with litter and the damage that it causes to communities and also for the wider environment and its protection
- Solid, successful experience of trust, foundation, lottery, statutory and major donor fundraising

BGCI is seeking to appoint a Conservation Assistant Officer to support the delivery of BGCI’s tree conservation programme. Part of this role will include gathering data from our global network on current conservation actions for threatened tree species to help prioritise where future conservation efforts are needed. The data is collated in the Conservation Action Tracker that can be viewed via BGCI’s GlobalTree Portal. The appointed person will also support the delivery and expansion of BGCI’s conservation planning work for threatened tree species. Candidates for this post will be self-motivated, demonstrate an interest in plant conservation and have a record of data collection and report writing. They will support the facilitation of multi-stakeholder workshops and therefore must have good social and listening skills.

Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) is a membership organisation and a global network for plant conservation located in Kew, United Kingdom with regional, bureaux in China, Kenya, Singapore, and the USA. Our membership comprises over 900 botanical institutions working in plant conservation - botanic gardens, arboreta, NGOs, restoration organisations, government, and universities - in over 120 countries all around the world.
