As our Project Coordinator, you’ll lead the Wiltshire Community Micro-enterprise Project. In this role, you will connect with and support local people, helping them develop very small enterprises that offer innovative care and support in their communities. You will deliver an enterprise development programme, carefully established over more than ten years, ensuring that local people can choose care and support that suits them best, from a wide range of creative options.
The initial focus is in the Western region of Wiltshire, where you’ll connect with people in Trowbridge, Westbury, Warminster, Melksham, Devizes and the surrounding rural areas. You’ll build partnerships with leading community organisations to strengthen and grow local support systems.

We are looking for a Chief Executive with the energy, vision and experience to take on the strategic leadership and direction of our well-respected and fast-growing national charity, which brings tangible benefits to men’s health, mental health and suicide prevention across the UK. Your experience in executive leadership in the nonprofit sectors will ensure the good management and statutory compliance of UKMSA. • Leadership – the ability to motivate, develop, and deliver through a team of staff and volunteers such that the organisation meets its goals.
• Interpersonal & Communication Skills – these will need to be excellent (including written communication) in order to build rapport and effective relationships across a range of people, from our members to the general public, political figures and senior executives in other organisations. As UKMSA’s public face, the CEO must also be adept at showcasing our work, including in the media and to parliamentary and other government bodies.
• Financial Acumen – the CEO will be expected to operate the budget and develop our new strategy for ensuring sustainable income, actively leading the development of corporate sponsorships and other significant income streams.
• Flexibility & Adaptability – the new CEO will be expected to learn about the world of Men’s Sheds quickly, to be able confidently to represent UKMSA and to build strong relationships within the Men’s Shed community (both within the UK and internationally). And as we only have a staff team of 13 (geographically dispersed), it is expected that the CEO will actively engage in some of the more tactical work, including being ‘hands on’ at events.

About The Role
The Help for Heroes Community Development team are looking to recruit a team of Community Builders to assist in their reshaped participation and connection strategy. Using Asset Based Community Development, we seek to support the charity’s objective to enhance reach and positive impact for members of the Armed Forces Community facing challenges within their local communities.

Working closely with Community Development Managers across regions within the UK, the Community Builders will play a vital role in helping to improve lives for Armed Forces Community members by creating a supportive environment that allows them to re-engage and connect with the services at Help for Heroes and with the wider community.
The main purpose of this role is to connect local people through their skills, passions and assets and support the creation of new connections, bringing people together to improve wellbeing and make the community a better place to live. This will include listening to different points of views, building relationships and motivating people to work together and create their own action influenced by their interests and skillsets to positively impact local communities and help them to flourish.
About You
You will have experience leading and facilitating the mobilisation of local communities, asset mapping, bringing together people for engagement that matters to them. You will have knowledge and experience of Asset Based Community Development work, outreach methods and you will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to animate local communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outreach to drive local connection, engagement and participation opportunities for the AFC
- Develop and embed an ABCD informed way of work
- Asset map
- Organise and facilitate community meetings to share ideas, encourage collective decision making and build a sense of belonging
- Encourage and pilot community lead action in response to local AFC needs/interests through peer led/co-designed initiatives

PLEASE NOTE: The successful candidates will need to be based within an hour’s commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel within a 75-mile radius of this location (travel expenses covered). Flexibility in working hours is necessary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a 2-week period so please take this into consideration before applying.
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A Community Development qualification and/or at least 3 years' experience working within a community development or similar role, with responsibility for bringing about social change and improving quality of life
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships which lead to actions
- Demonstrable experience within an integrated multi-disciplinary service
- Experience of engaging and working collaboratively with partners/stakeholders
About the Team
You will work as part of the Community Development team; this newly formed team will approach working in defined localities using an asset based community development approach. Together the Community Development Managers and the Community Builders will strengthen local communities using resources and networks that are readily available. You will do this to proliferate opportunities for sustainable participation and engagement alongside a multi-disciplinary team in order to support the Armed Forces Community to live well after service.

Montpelier Foundation is a UK-registered charity focused on tackling climate change and poverty. Our team works on behalf of the Montpelier and Hampshire Foundations’ family office, managing close to $20M in grants annually to non-profits worldwide.

Purpose of role
Based in our offices in Knightsbridge, London, the Programme Manager will have experience in grant-making or in relevant non-profit or policy sectors, and an interest in social and environmental causes globally. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a significant contribution to tackling climate change and poverty, in a predominantly office-based role. You would be joining a tight-knit team working in a fun, innovative and flexible environment.
Primary responsibilities
- Managing an existing portfolio of livelihoods and climate grants, i.e. owning the relationship with the NGOs, following their progress, overseeing the financial and legal aspects of the grant, and reporting to the Chair. A lot of this can be achieved through desk-based work, calls and meetings, but sometimes we need to travel to see our partners’ work in person.
- Making recommendations on grant renewals, by carrying out detailed analysis of the NGOs and the impact of the grants and working towards their approval by the board of directors.
- Exploring new grant opportunities under the strategic direction of the Foundation’s Chair.
- Maintaining, strengthening and growing the Foundation’s international network of foundations, subject experts, social intermediaries and service providers.
- Carrying out administrative tasks that are shared across the Programme Team, which could include financial reporting and website management.
Experience
- Strong academic background with a degree in a relevant field (postgraduate degree preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years’ work experience in grant-making, or in relevant non-profit or policy sectors.
- Strong interest in international development and climate change, and a willingness to keep learning about new sectors, geographies and solutions.
- Fluency in English with excellent writing and communication/presentation skills.
- Assertiveness and confidence working with people and building trust-based relationships – in person, on the phone and on email with grantees, the team and board.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability and willingness to hit the ground running and take direction.
- Team player who likes being part of a small team and gladly pitches in on any task, big or small.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel.

2. To support the coordination and project management of existing business development projects in community energy, heating and cooling, social investment fundraising and capacity building.

We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our Finance team at Samaritans. As Finance Officer, you’ll support the Branch Finance function and branch treasurers, in particular leading the annual Central Charity contribution (‘New Branch Contribution’/NBC) process with affiliate branches and handling administrative tasks on branch banking.

The Role
We have 201 branches across the UK and Ireland. The core of this role involves coordinating the annual Central Charity contribution process, reviewing NBC calculations, co-ordinating invoicing and receipts, and escalating NBC queries, with total NBCs amounting to £0.7m-£1.3m a year. You will also be supporting our branch treasurers with banking processes and other administrative matters that are key to managing the finances of our branches.

Main Tasks:
- Pioneer new initiatives to develop children and families’ ministry and expand our outreach in the local area; including appropriate use of the liturgical calendar and community initiatives such as holiday clubs, and toddler groups.
- Recruit and coach voluntary teams, pastoring all members on the Children and Youth teams.
- Build relationships and partnerships with schools, colleges and community groups, and where applicable, be the first point of contact for them.

Your new role
Your new role is to be responsible for day-to-day operational aspects, including administrative support such as managing calenders, travel and email correspondence. You will have membership management responsibility including the whole lifecycle of membership, such as onboarding, responding to member's enquiries and converting prospective leads. You will assist in planning events and conferences, being the face of the organisation and conducting outreach to prospective members to promote the benefits of the association. You will work with the IT team to update and maintain the organisation's website, assist with the creation of marketing and work on various projects as required.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have 2+ years experience within an administrative/operational role, ideally within a membership-based association or organisation, have the ability to sell products or services and have knowledge of data analysis. If you have knowledge of maritime or energy markets that would be highly desirable.
What you'll get in return
