JOB DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established, dedicated and enthusiastic team supporting people with mental health conditions such as stress, anxiety and depression to gain and retain employment.

We are a co-produced mental health charity working across Camden and Islington. We support people with mental health conditions into training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. People can access our services via our Clubhouse, where they can share their skills and expertise with others and support the running of the charity. Alternatively, they can receive support out in the community from one of our employment specialists based within primary and secondary care.
As well as Recovery support, our clubhouse provides a dedicated employment support Information, Advice and Guidance service to Islington residents with mental health needs from our community base in North Road. The IAG team provides employment support to assist clients find employment, remain in work or return to work. This takes the form of personalised support based on an individual action plan detailing the client’s agreed employment goals and actions.
OVERALL AIM
Working in collaboration with the Hillside Clubhouse Recovery project, the Employment Advisor team utilises the structured activity programme to help residents build confidence and transferable skills in a supportive setting. EAs work one-to-one with a caseload of around 40-50 people referred through various routeways including self-referrals, providing information, advice and guidance to empower clients to make better decisions about their career options and working lives, as well as signpost clients to other relevant support agencies, as appropriate.
This role would suit someone with a background in employment support, psychology, counselling, human resources, recruitment, or a desire to transfer their skills into the mental health support sector.

The Child Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) Programme is part of this nationally funded programme and aims to train a workforce of new practitioners that offer help for common difficulties in children and young people, in particular CBT-informed evidence-based guided self-help for low to moderate intensity anxiety, low mood and behaviour problems, within a variety of community settings. The Course Tutors will have responsibility for the development and delivery of one or two modules, ensuring all material concerning the module is up to date. The post-holders will also contribute to teaching sessions, and undertake marking and moderating of course assignments, personal tutoring and make other similar contributions to support the delivery of the programme.
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic candidates with experience in child and adolescent mental health, alongside knowledge and experience of implementing CBT-informed interventions for low to moderate intensity anxiety, low mood and behaviour problems and experience in small group facilitation.

The Age Dispute work sits within the Youth Casework team, and we seek to deepen the impact by supporting more children and young people now dispersed across England and who are wrongly age assessed of assumed as over 18 by the Home Office and/or by the local authorities.
About the role
As an Age Disputes Casework Adviser, you will bring your expertise to provide specialist casework to challenge incorrect age assessments, use experience to deal and prioritise high risk cases, work with various stakeholders including legal representatives, statutory agencies, and collaborate with others in sector to develop, learn and share best practice resources in casework provision.
You will maintain an understanding of the changing practice in relation to age assessments in particular and the wider policy landscape, work with colleagues in the Youth Services and in consultation with the Youth Services Manager, liaise with other relevant Refugee Council teams, including advocacy, practice development, youth involvement, In-Form to use casework evidence to address inequities in policy and practice.
This role is fixed term until 31/03/2027.
Based within the Youth Services of the Refugee Council, the Age Disputes Casework Adviser will be responsible for:
- Working with children and young people to understand their experiences and needs.
- Working closely with other Age Disputes Casework Advisers and the Youth Services Manager to identify and review high risk and complex cases that need prioritising and create effective internal case triage and allocation systems.
- Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that the needs of young people with disputed age are recognised and met.
- Identifying age assessment policy and practice issues impacting on the lives of separated children for possible action via strategic litigation with legal representatives and advocacy colleagues.
- Maintaining expert casework knowledge and understanding of the environment and barriers that separated children seeking asylum face in with regards to the assessment of their age, and issues related to access to high quality information, advice and legal representation on immigration, asylum and welfare, and always learning and sharing the knowledge with others.

Working with young people
- Work in the best interests of all separated young people who are wrongly age assessed and referred unto our service.
- Manage a high volume of referrals from internal colleagues and professionals effectively, and work with Youth Services Manager to identify high risk cases, decide eligibility and priority criteria, and providing timely, helpful, and legally accurate responses at all times.
- Manage their own complex caseload, primarily age dispute related (appropriate assessments, litigation, and appeals) and support on a range of welfare matters including health, education, and community care issues.

Nationally only 4.8% of people with special educational needs and disabilities gain permanent paid employment in the UK yet 70 percent of DFN Project SEARCH graduates gain jobs, 60 percent of them achieving full-time permanent roles.

We are recruiting for a Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Duty IGVA) who will be working closely with survivors of domestic, and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support to survivors all risk levels and their children.
In this role you will be part of a busy team. You will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre. The duty IGVA will be responding to daily enquiries over the phone and email as well as contacting survivors, assessing their risks and needs. You will also be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs and will ensure an effective handover to the over to the relevant GAIA team for ongoing support.
The duty IGVA will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. You will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job also involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

New Horizon Youth Centre (NHYC) runs London's only youth-specific emergency accommodation project in partnership with Depaul UK. The London Youth Hub, based in Islington, provides emergency accommodation and support to help young people facing rough sleeping to transition into safe, long-term housing and achieve independence. For a large, complex international organisation, we're recruiting an Interim Corporate Treasurer. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Corporate Treasurer is a leadership role managing all aspects of treasury policy, processes, controls, analysis, and investment strategy. This role will also lead on cash management, financing and investment activities, internal controls, risk management and loss prevention. This is the primary treasury specialist in the organisation and will provide expert advice to support strategic objectives, whilst leading and motivating the Treasury Team.
Main Duties:
- Lead and motivate the Treasury Team, building capacity in the wider finance team
- Develop strategic partnerships with banks and other financial organisations to deliver Treasury policy, investment strategies and business objectives
- Identify opportunities to deliver better business models to impact on global ability to deliver statutory reporting obligations, operating models in-country, banking and repatriation of funds including liquidity analysis and management, cash forecasting and debt facilities
- Partner with Regional Finance Directors to optimise cash-flows, manage cash investments / liquidity including e-commerce and mobile banking, bonds, guarantees and bank KYC management.
- Develop treasury expertise and processes across the global finance teams
- Oversee all banking platforms and processes including the pan European zero balancing cash pool.
- Partner with global finance operations (Shared Services, Regional Finance Directors) to avoid trapped cash
- Manage foreign currency liquidity requirements
- Develop and recommend Treasury Management Policy and Controls and compliance and the implementation of Treasury strategy including foreign currency management
- Develop and lead long-term investment strategy
Person Specification:
- Fellow ACA, CIMA, ACCA or ACT with proven Head of Treasury or Principal Treasurer experience from a global, matrix structured organisation
- In-depth leadership experience with international treasury management
- Statutory legal entity reporting
- Assessment and management of financial risks including FX, and interest rates
- Investment management
- Reuters and dealing platforms, ISDA and loan documentation
- Excellent understanding of foreign exchange and money market
