Talkback’s roots are in self advocacy, in building self confidence and self esteem to enable people with a learning disability to use the skills that will enhance their quality of life and to be as independent as they can and want to be. Talkback is about choice, opportunity and respect for all people with a learning disability.
This is achieved through supporting people to express a real voice, in choice and decision making and in creating safe and positive learning environments. The core aspects of communication and social development are embedded in all aspects of our work.
