This is an exciting time in the development of St. Raphael’s Edible Garden, as we are looking for an experienced Garden Manager to oversee the next steps in the development of the site, deliver a range of learning outcomes and fully implement, manage and further develop all aspects of the garden project.
Alongside practical educational outdoor experience, the successful candidate will understand how to design educational programmes that are accessible and engaging for a range of audiences, including school children and young people, adults with additional needs, and wider community. Project management and organisational skills are also essential. You will help to nurture new and existing relationships with local businesses and strive to grow corporate income for the charity.
In this role, you will take an active part in developing and facilitating a range of events and activities designed to engage local businesses with the Trust's mission and work. Your responsibilities will include the administration of our corporate membership scheme, ensuring the accurate recording of income and information, and maintaining our internal database to the highest standards. About Side by Side
Our Side by Side service has developed through several years of outreach on Gillett Square in Dalston. Recognising that many in the community that gathers there face severe disadvantages on multiple levels yet rarely seek support, we set about getting to know people, listening to their stories, and slowly building trust whilst offering practical help, advice and support. Now, our community advice workers are considered part of the community themselves and without hesitation, people refer themselves and their friends, neighbours and families to us for support.
The Role
As our Lead Community Advice Worker, you will provide holistic advice, advocacy, and practical support to people connected to the marginalised and excluded Gillett Square community in Dalston. You will help them access essential services, navigate welfare benefits and housing issues, and challenge decisions they believe are unjust. You will also provide guidance and supervision to one Community Advice Worker. This role involves occasional outreach in Gillett Square and through home visits.
The role is offered on a part-time, 4 day week basis (0.8 FTE) with a salary of £36,050 pro rata per annum.

The role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Programmes Manager to lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of our international programs. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with extensive programme management experience and a deep commitment to our mission.
The Senior Programmes Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our programmes are effectively designed and delivered, meet the needs of the communities and animals we serve, and align with our organizational strategy and donor expectations.
Positioned within the Global Programmes Department the role will involve close collaboration across teams in both the Global Support Office and our implementing partners.

Contract, location and salary
This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This is a remote position with regular attendance required at SPANA's London office. We are looking for a focused individual to join our caring, passionate, and diverse team in supporting adults with moderate learning disabilities and autistic adults to live independently in housing situations of their choice. This role gives challenge and satisfaction and will suit someone that has:
- Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults in a community setting
- A good team member
- Understanding of the issues faced by people with learning disabilities and autistic people living independently and the skills to meet their practical, social and emotional needs
- A ‘Person Centred Planning’ ethos
- Excellent communication skills
- Good record keeping skills
The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check in line with Section 115 of The Police Act 1997.

The role
Starting between £55,000 to £60,000 per annum depending on experience
Hours: 35hrs per week
Permanent: Full-Time

About you
You will be a senior HR practitioner, qualified to CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience), and have a proven track-record at leading a high-performing HR team. You’ll have plenty of experience in delivering strategic HR initiatives, excellent knowledge of employment law, an ability to communicate at all levels, and flex your approach according to the situation. We are looking for someone who has had experience of advising and delivering on organisational-wide HR change management initiatives, can work effectively to project deadlines, and will successfully balance the needs of employees with the operational and ambitious needs of the charity.

Our location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail.
We have a hybrid approach to the way we work. Our Senior Executive Team meet with our Senior Leadership Team twice a month on a Monday. These meetings are face to face. One is in central London and one is at our Hatfield office. In addition, you will be required to attend at least four face to face organisational All Staff Together days which are predominantly in Hatfield, one directorate meeting a month in Hatfield, as well as attending the Hatfield office with the rest of the HR team one day a week. One to one’s will be face to face with direct line reports and your line manager once a quarter.

The Community Fundraising Manager plays a key part in delivering our ambitious Charity strategy, linking the hospital charity, NHS staff members, and the local community. This role will join a collaborative and energetic team, with line management responsibility for two Fundraising Coordinators, who raise funds from a variety of sources including events, community fundraisers and individual giving.
Relationship management is key to this role, along with the ability to connect with people on a very personal level, with compassion.
You’ll inspire and bring out the best in your team and our supporters, helping them to achieve their fundraising goals.
You will understand supporters’ motivations and help them to support Newcastle Hospitals Charity in the way that appeals to them.
An excellent communicator; you will provide fundraising guidance; suitably recognise their contribution; and demonstrate the impact of their support.
You will deliver exceptional donor stewardship that meaningfully connects with supporters and grows our supporter base, whilst developing a robust prospect pipeline.
