Equal Education is a social enterprise working to improve outcomes and narrow the attainment gap for disadvantaged and vulnerable learners, including Children Looked After, those with SEND, and unaccompanied asylum seeking children. We have 12 years’ experience delivering 1:1 tuition, working with hundreds of schools and Local Authority partners across the country, reaching hundreds of pupils annually.
As a member of the Fair Education Alliance, we believe in providing meaningful educational provision to students whose needs may not be best met within a traditional classroom environment, those who aren’t currently accessing education, or who benefit from additional 1:1 support. We work with qualified teachers to provide academic, subject specialised and individual tutoring and mentoring for children of all ages. Tutors provide pastoral care and work with pupils to increase engagement and attainment. Our programmes allow students to overcome barriers to learning, help them build trusted relationships, increase their aspirations, and fulfil their potential. The Role
As our Partnerships Director, you will be at the forefront of driving organisational growth, leading our sales and procurement strategy, and positioning Equal Education as a thought leader in the education sector.
We are seeking an innovative and strategic Partnerships Director to lead our sales, procurement, and thought leadership strategy as we scale our impactful programmes for Children Looked After, students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). This pivotal role is suited to an experienced professional with deep expertise in public sector procurement, tendering, and B2B/B2G sales, alongside a passion for addressing educational inequality.
A natural communicator, the post-holder will understand the challenges faced by our School and Local Authority Partners. The Role
Reporting to the Policy Manager, the Policy Officer works to develop UK-wide, evidence-based policy positions on key issues affecting stroke survivors or those at risk of stroke. Working closely with the rest of the team, they will consult with internal and external experts as well as stroke survivors as part of the policy development process and ensure final positions are disseminated and used effectively.
The Policy Officer identifies and drafts organisational consultation responses, ensuring submissions are backed up by evidence and are informed by those affected by stroke.
Providing expert policy advice and support to colleagues across the organisation, they monitor the external policy landscape and regularly update colleagues on developments. They also support local systems leadership by providing influencing support to regional colleagues, helping to embed policy across the organisation.
Working closely with the Public Affairs and Campaigns team, they support influencing activity by providing up-to-date evidence to develop strategies and messages. They also support the public affairs work when necessary, and provide policy support for the Chief Executive and other senior leaders by preparing presentations when required.
They collaborate with external partners and coalitions to represent the Association’s policy aims, and push for the integration of the voice of lived experience in policymaking.
This role will be provided on a fixed term basis, to cover maternity leave within the team.

Main duties and responsibilities
This role requires work across all of Leukaemia Care’s fundraising event activity – providing administrative and operational support and engaging with supporters both personally and through the charity’s communication channels. Duties and responsibilities will, at any given time, include:
- Providing administrative support to the fundraising team as required.
- Monitor fundraising event e-mail inboxes, ensuring that actions are covered off by members of the fundraising team and, where appropriate, yourself.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that fundraising event participants database records are up to date, including integration with fundraising platforms such as Just Giving. In addition, provide data reports to the Senior Event fundraisers to assist in future event planning.
- Ensure that all event fundraising materials, merchandise and equipment are organised and safely stored, and that stock is monitored especially after use.
- Be responsible for the mailing and distribution of event fundraising materials such as clothing, welcome packs, collections tins, etc.
- Ensure that the fundraising events section of the Leukaemia Care website is up to date, working with the Communications team where necessary to keep existing and potential supporters informed. This includes input into social media information, and the creation of other marketing materials.
- Add Leukaemia Care fundraising event opportunities to external websites and ensure all information posted is correct.
- Help to engage with, steward and thank Leukaemia Care fundraisers both personally, on social media groups, and through the creation and distribution of materials such as Thank You certificates, etc.
- Attend fundraising events in person, including work at events to steward and engage with fundraisers and volunteers, and to set-up and break-down event materials. This role will require some work outside of normal office hours (evenings and weekends) where fundraising events necessitate.
- Work within the Code of Fundraising Practice as required by the Fundraising Regulator.
- Work within the General Data Protection Regulations ensuring that the charity obtains and record appropriate consents and preferences.
- Provide support to the wider fundraising and administrative team at Leukaemia Care during busy times or during periods of sickness or annual leave.

What we’re looking for in an Associate Director of Capital, Estates and Facilities:
• An experienced, qualified Estates & Facilities Management professional with:
• Proven experience at a senior management level in a large, complex organisation, demonstrating strategic and operational leadership
• Strong background in contract negotiation, estates management, and compliance in facilities
• Knowledge of large service contracts, experience of successful contract negotiation and long-term contract management
• Specialist knowledge regarding compliance issues in estates, fleet and facilities
• Experience in capital planning and development with an ability to lead significant change management projects
• Expertise in environmental management, health and safety, and budget oversight.
• First degree or equivalent professional award in appropriate Estates and Facilities Management
You will also demonstrate:
• Leadership qualities with the ability to influence and inspire a diverse team
• Strong analytical skills and project management expertise
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, fostering positive relationships
• Ability to challenge, confront and turn around any adverse performance
• Confidence to advise Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees
• Full UK driving license

Specialist Behaviour Support Workers are responsible for supporting people with learning disabilities and behavioural needs to live full lives, develop skills and maintain their wellbeing.
We are looking for a specialist behavioural support worker of skilled, creative and experienced support workers to support one customer in her own home in Welwyn Garden City. Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post. Specialist Support Workers provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. Support is also provided to develop a model of re-enablement towards self-advocacy, self-management and empowerment, incorporating the principles and practice of recovery, co-production and peer support. This role must have an excellent value base to support the customer to build their life and develop their skills and passions as an independent person.
A full driving licence is required for this position.

What you'll do:
Supporting the customer to lead a full and active life and do things they enjoy, sensitively and persistently trying to new things to open new opportunities for the customer.
Developing the customer's independent living skills and involving them in aspects of maintaining and developing their home, including cooking, shopping, cleaning, and decorating.
Supporting the customer in their sensory routine, trialling and testing new sensory experiences.
Supporting the customer to communicate their wants and needs and develop new ways of doing this, communicating with them in a person-centred way.
Supporting the customer to manage their anxieties, using Positive Behaviour Support and Autism-specific approaches.
Collating a range of behavioural data and essential paperwork to be analysed within our local management structure.
Driving the customer's (manual) vehicle to support them to go about their daily life.
Supporting the customer with personal care.

What you'll bring:
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience working with customers with Autism/Challenging Behaviour/learning disabilities

Experience of engaging vulnerable people with complex needs in meaningful activities.
